All in all an enjoyable holiday 1 Vivian Jones, Australia, Jul 2014
We were happy with the tour & our tour leader was very informative and helpful. The coach driver was very accommodating stopping to allow us to view wildlife. I would have liked to have had name tags to assist with meeting new people at the start. I would have preferred breakfasts to be included but these are only small things. All in all an enjoyable holiday.
Cannot rate highly enough 4 Roslyn Newlands, Australia, Jul 2014
I cannot rate the Canadian and Alaskan Masterpiece tour highly enough. The scenery was the best I have every experienced and I have travelled to many places in my time. I often read comments about your trips and people mention matters like the accommodation was a little out of town or not upmarket enough. People must remember that Cosmos never intends read more to give 5 star service. In fact, that's why I choose it. If I am staying in a place for a while, then I'm a 5 star girl, but not when I'm on the go constantly. We arrived at most places early evening, looking for a comfortable place to crash and without fail, every bed was super comfortable and the room always had great showers. Isn't that all that is needed? There were always plenty of places to eat or within walking distance, to obtain meals. A short walk into town is always great after sitting all day. I love the fact that no meals are included, because there's nothing worse than being 'mustered' into a reserved area of a restaurant and handed 'the set menu'. If I was travelling through a third world country, then I would definitely upgrade, but I cannot fault Cosmos. This is our second tour and I have nothing but praise for Cosmos and for Global Journeys. One thing I would comment on, is that when we were sent the red book with our itinerary, it was easy to miss the details of the cruise on the inner front page. We had to log on to the Holland America site and register. Many people did not see this and failed to do it. Perhaps draw future clients' attention to this. Well done Georgie. I would travel with you tomorrow if $ allowed it. I/we will be back. What a magnificent trip! 1 Robin & Lynne Lerch, Australia, Jul 2014
What a magnificent trip! This was our 3rd trip with Cosmos & once again we loved it! Our tour director Vedrana & bus driver Gunther were so nice, so helpful & so good at their jobs. Saw some spectacular scenery & some beautiful towns. The Rocky Mountaineer train trip is a bit long because of delays with freight trains but still all good. The Vollandame read more boat trip was great!! Well done Cosmos & Michelle from Global Journeys. The pace was fast but loved it! 1 Kerry Perini, Australia, Jun 2014
Loved this Cosmos tour, our tour guide Elaine Wright was excellent. Will be hoping to do another tour with Cosmos in the future - the pace was fast but we manged - just loved it!
Outstanding tour 1 Marcia Priddis, Australia, Jun 2014
Outstanding tour, great fellow tourists, great value for money. Tour was organised very well, only downside was not having our details for the cruise sent through to cruise liner for online booking. (Ed. Thanks Marcia, I presume that's why you rated Global Journeys as 'average'? Just so you know, that was Cosmos' responsibility (as the Operator), but read more we are still very pleased you enjoyed your journey!) The entire trip was top class 2 Trudi Clements, Australia, May 2014
Absolutely loved this trip! Alma our tour director was amazing! The entire trip was top class. The excursions were great and we also did some additional ones. It was well worth upgrading to Gold Leaf on the Rocky Mountaineer and also to a balcony suite on the cruise.
The best thing I have done :) 2 Kirsten & Diane Prins, Australia, Aug 2013
This tour was the best thing I have done :) Not only did I meet plenty of friendly people, I saw some magnificent places! All my photos just don't do Canada and Alaska justice!
Overall the tour was great, had so much fun 1 Cheryl de Leon, Australia, Aug 2013
Overall the tour was great, had so much fun. Accommodation was good, except for one hotel, unfortunately, can't remember which one. I think it is the one in Jasper.
Trip of a lifetime 2 Edwin Dee, Australia, Aug 2013
Our tour consultants Michelle and Frances from Global Journeys provided us with prompt feedback via e-mails and were helpful when we telephoned ensuring our preparation for our holiday all went smoothly. We will certainly consider booking with Global Journeys in the future. We travelled to Canada on a Cosmos Tour, the 'Canadian & Alaskan Masterpiece' read more a 19 day tour of the west coast of Canada. It was a trip of a lifetime, a well organised tour which gave us flexibility with a good combination of tours and free time. When comparing the cost of our tour with tours offering similar itinerary's we consider Cosmos was very competitive. We would certainly recommend this tour and have friends who have booked to go on the same tour next year, they should have a wonderful holiday. Can highly recommend this tour 1 Colin Wilson, Australia, Jun 2013
We found this tour very professional and well organised. The hotel accommodation was great and the tour director we had was extremely well versed on Candanian history. Can highly recommend this tour.
The rocky mountaineer experience was superb 1 Janne Hoskins, Australia, Jun 2013
We had a wonderful time, although we had no expectations, we could not fault anything in regards to organization or standard of accommodation or the balance of the trip. We had plenty of time to sightsee at our stops and the pace of the trip was for us very easy. The rocky mountaineer experience was superb, the countryside amazing and the cruise at read more the end just the best note to finish on. We had to amend our itinerary and spend two extra nights in Banff due to the floods in Alberta, instead of proceeding to Lake Louise and then Jasper, so we missed out on some of the highlights of the trip but as nature deals its own hand there was nothing that could be done about it. Indeed if it had not been for the calm professional and practical decisions made by our tour guide Serena we could very well have found ourselves stranded in very uncomfortable circumstances. We have nothing but admiration for the way in which she managed what was a very stressful situation in such a responsible manner. Serena was a great tour guide and always tried to make sure we got the best experience possible no matter where we were or what we were doing. We enjoyed the company of all our fellow travelers as well as the opportunity to spend time exploring on our own. We would most certainly use Global journeys again to organize a tour. Georgie, our consultant took all the stress out of organizing for us, she was very helpful with our questions and requests and it was very easy just to be able to email when you needed to, knowing you would get a prompt reply to your questions. All details were taken care of and we received regular updates of how our booking was progressing . We have told many friends of the great service we received from Global Journeys and have recommended you to them! Trip was value for money and can't wait to plan the next 1 Kerry Sandral, Australia, Jun 2013
Excellent trip, my only comment was that our coach was full and another coach ran on the tour too - too many people slowed the trip and it became frustrating at times. We were unfortunate to have been caught in floods and missed a few sights and activities however Cosmos and the Tour Guide did a great job sorting ths out, which was difficult due to read more large number of us. Michelle and Frances from Global Journeys were great. I felt the trip was value for money and can't wait to plan the next one. Just loved everything about Canada and Alaska 1 Wendy Mackenzie, Australia, Sep 2012
OMG...what an awesome trip. We just loved everything about Canada and Alaska. The Rocky Mountaineer was fantastic, the coach tour unforgettable and the cruise up to Alaska was breathtaking! I would recommend this tour to anybody who is thinking of visiting Canada and Alaska. Georgie was extremely helpful and I will be contacting her again when I'm read more considering my next overseas trip! Inside passage cruise was FANTASTIC 1 David & Sue Hooper, Australia, Aug 2012
We were looked after so well all the way and had the most scenic and enjoyable tour. Long days packed with so much. A couple of more days added to the tour would have been great. The accommodation was clean and comfortable in every place that we stayed. The Rocky Mountaineer train trip was fantastic with great food, great commentary and the beauty of read more the train is that you can get up and walk around. As for the inside passage cruise on Holland Americas Volendam we just cannot stop talking about it. It was FANTASTIC with all of the ships staff bending over backwards to make sure that we were having the best time of our lives. The scenery on this cruise is outstanding. At Glacier Bay the Captain kept the ship in the bay for an hour rotating it all of that time so that passengers got panoramic 360degree views of the glaciers while eating lunch on the 8th floor of the ship in the dining room. He was a great Captain steering such a large ship through the inside passage so skillfully. We are now hooked on cruising and would not hesitate to book another Holland America cruise. All told a memorable and fantastic holiday, which we would highly recommend. We would definitely recommend this tour 1 Judith & Geoff Street, Australia, May 2012
Great trip, amazing scenery, good value for money. Unfortunately Rocky Mountaineer trip cut short because of rail strike, but tour guides did their best to compensate. Loved Lake Louise and Banff. The only disappointment was the length of time in Whistler, we would have loved another day and night. Cruise was very relaxing, food and service excellent. read more Alaska scenery and Glacier fantastic. We would definitely recommend this tour. In fact friends of ours have booked this tour in August. Overall tour was excellent. 1 Stephen Neary, Australia, May 2012
Overall tour was excellent. The tour guide was wonderful & made our journey special. Hotels were very good & choice of side trips excellent & well organised.
So many fantastic scenes, colours and people 1 Ray & Chris Lumsden, Australia, Aug 2011
How can we list the so many fantastic scenes, colours and people we saw and met. The train, coach and accommodation were exceptional. The tour director (Lynda Brown) was very knowledgeable of the areas we visited and was very organized. We had a good mix of stop off points for photos as well as rest breaks and rest days. I believe we were very lucky read more with our weather as we only had a couple of hours of rain on the first day as we were leaving Vancouver on the train, I believe the average temperature was around 28c each day. A couple of side tours we did were awesome, this included a helicopter ride over the Rockies at Banff and a floatplane trip over Whistler. Both were fantastic in their own way as the colours and mountain shapes were different. The extra accommodation we had (1 day at either end of the tour) was well worth it as we were able to see the sights of Vancouver at our leisure. The cruise part of the trip was not so kind in the weather department as we were at the end of the summer and we had a considerable amount of rain. We did some side excursions which consisted of, Tracy Arm Glacier Tour and were pleasantly surprised at the scenery and colours even with an overcast sky. We were also very lucky to meet a pod of 25 whales when we going up to Juneau on the catamaran. We were looking at them for around 20 minutes. While in Skagway we did the train tour to White Horse Pass, very misty and wet but enjoyed the experience. Seeing the exceptional harsh areas (and very scenic views) where miners had to endure the hardship of travelling over the mountains was worth the ride. Glacier Bay was our next on ship experience, a little disappointed (mainly because we had the experience of Tracy Arm) with the colourlessness of the area, but again it was an incredible experience. Ketchikan was interesting (did some shopping). Weather set in early but all of our sightseeing was well and truly finished. The inside passage cruising was a photographers delight in the variety of sights, colours & many wildlife sightings. Would and have thoroughly recommended this trip to all my friends and any other people I meet. Only had a couple of hiccups, departing the ship did not go too smooth as we docked 1/2 hr late and on the return plane trip I had a problem. When we go back, we think it will be for around a month and drive around the areas we would like to visit again but for a longer time. The whole trip was a good taste of what to go back for. The organising of our requests for airline, extra accommodation was done by your staff with great expertise and hope to use your services again. Results 81-97 of 97
