Wonderful holiday in Canada   4 , QLD, Australia, May 2018
We had the best trip. Wonderful organisation. The hotels were all first class. The Rocky Mountaineer was a wonderful experience that we will always remember. Lake Louise was magnificent. We would recommend Global Journeys to anyone.
Best trip with Cosmos through Canada and Alaska 1 , QLD, Australia, May 2018
From booking the tour with Hannah until the end of our tour everything went extremely well. Our tour guide Tarek was so knowledgeable and extremely helpful. He made our trip the most memorable. All our fellow travelers were wonderful and we made some very good friends. Canada is such a beautiful country, each day just got better and better. The optional read more tours are so varied, from helicopter flights to rafting.
Excellent holiday 2 , QLD, Australia, May 2018
The journey through Canada and Alaska was an exceptional and enjoyable experience from the Rocky Mountaineer through to the bus tour and cruise on the Volendam. The Rocky Mountaineer staff, tour director, bus driver and Volendam crew all helped make the journey a memorable one with their wonderful service. We totally recommend this tour. Of course the read more tour could not have taken place without the expert help of Yvonne of Global Journeys. Yvonne who took care of the tour and flight arrangements made the process a seamless one.
An Amazing Time 2 , NSW, Australia, Apr 2018
We had an amazing time! We were very happy with all the hotels, they were clean and comfortable and very well located in each town.

Thank you Juliet for helping me with so many questions I had when booking this holiday. You were so very patient, knowledgeable and very helpful. It made booking this first overseas holiday of ours so stress free.
Fantastic Trip   27 , New Zealand, Aug 2017
There were two main highlights of our trip - Rocky Mountaineer and the glaciers in Glacier Bay. The Rocky Mountaineer is an extremely well run trip (2 days) from the welcome and departure, to the commentary, food, beverages and excellent service. This two day trip is a great introduction to the Canadian landscape and the works undertaken by the pioneers read more in establishing the railway through BC.

The cruise through the inside passage and the time at Glacier Bay, watching and hearing the ice crash into the sea was an experience not to be missed. The cruise (run by Holland America on the Volendam) surpassed our expectations - a very well run organisation that could not do enough to make the cruise an excellent experience.

The Cosmos coach trip gave us a good introduction to this (BC) part of Canada although we felt that some of the hotels were a little sub-standard and that component of the trip should be reviewed. Also we felt that the trip was a little rushed and could benefit from two nights at more of the places visited - for example after arriving early evening at Whistler from Sun Peaks (a long bus ride) we had to leave early the next morning to catch the ferry to Victoria, Vancouver Island, and everyone felt they did not really get a chance to have a good look at Whistler. Overall it was a fantastic trip and we have no hesitation in recommending this combination.

We thank Leanne for a great job in organising our trip - nothing was a problem and all the arrangements worked well - thank you Leanne.
Great fantastic, just fabulous 16 , NSW, Australia, Aug 2017
June and I thoroughly enjoyed our journey. The Rocky Mountaineer was great even in Silver Leaf...staff were terrific and food...tooooo much but lovely. The hotels may not have been 5 star but clean, excellent mattresses and best of all...a hot shower at every venue. Our Tour director, Gamael and our driver Jon were great. Some times our stays at places read more were short and some times the starts were a bit early, but what we received in return was well worth it. Scenery everywhere was picture postcard. A very thorough tour showcasing the Rocky Mountains

The cruise on the Volendam was fantastic...Again staff and food very very good. Had a minor hiccup with my onboard billing but will hopefully sort it out soon. Again the scenery on the cruise was fantastic. Glacier Bay, watching and hearing a glacier calving, once in a lifetime opportunity. Some of the shore excursions were quite expensive booking from the ship as we found the same ones at the destination almost half price. If you do the Rocky Mountaineer..don't eat for at least three days before hand...lol.
No wonder this tour is popular   15 , WA, Australia, Aug 2017
This was the first of 3 tours we (myself, my husband, and another couple) joined - 2 with Cosmos and 1 with Globus. All were fantastic. Budget was a consideration for us, but by booking early and eligible for some discounts, we were able to stretch the budget to be away for almost 7 weeks and we didn't miss out on doing anything! We prepaid as much read more as possible, so only needed to pay for food/optional tours/spending whilst on the tours. I chose Cosmos as it allowed enough free time within the tours to do our own thing and seemed to offer much the same as more expensive tours.

We took advantage of the optional tours that included a meal (always fun outings); and enjoyed the opportunity to find our own eating places (all taken into consideration as part of our budget). We chose the Silverleaf class on Rocky Mountaineer, but upgraded to outside cabin instead (good decision).

Tour Director Gemmel was delightful and informative, always making sure we were given enough information without boring everyone. Jon our driver - fantastic! Exceptionally careful driver, always well groomed and coach kept immaculate. Pace was good, and we found accommodation very good. It was also great that after 2 weeks together on the coach, it was lovely to join the Alaskan cruise and travel with 40 new friends, We were lucky weatherwise as we had no rain except for a light shower in Juneau (and the good weather followed us for the entire 7 weeks!!) My thanks to Hannah at Global Journeys as she was very efficient and quick to respond to any of my queries. Highly recommended!
Lovely Holiday 9 , WA, Australia, Jul 2017
Had a lovely time on holiday travelling with a great group of people by coach through Canada and cruised Alaska by ship along the Inside Passage. Found the Canadians so welcoming and friendly wherever we went. Travelled in July which was their summer so we were lucky to have good weather for our trip. Loved the time on board the ship with no problems read more having an inside cabin. It was a relaxing time with good entertainment, great food and wine. Would not hesitate in recommending it as an enjoyable scenic holiday to anyone.
Excellent holiday - Canada & Alaska   7 , NSW, Australia, Jul 2017
One of the best holidays we had. Awesome experience, the rocky mountaineer was fabulous and the road trip was very well planned and managed. The tour director was very knowledgeable and very organised. The cruise was fantastic and the sailing through the inner passage is very beautiful. The views of Glacier Bay was unreal and a must see. Totally recommend read more this tour, worth every cent. Last but not the least, Georgie our contact in Global journeys is a star. She was always very prompt in responding to our queries and had the patience to take us through the entire process.
Canadian and Alaskan Masterpiece Cosmos Tour 1 , QLD, Australia, Jul 2017
So pleased that we decided on this tour through Global Journeys at Noosa with Madeline Lewis as our travel consultant. Excellent service and assistance from Madeline from start to long after the finish. The tour was really great - visiting Vancouver when it was their national anniversary year with lots of celebrations to enjoy followed by the Rocky read more Mountaineer up to Banff plus fabulous coach trip back along another route. Then the cruise up into Alaska was a fantastic experience and we were so happy with everything. Will visit Canada again with Cosmos to do the Eastern half next... Our tour coach driver and guide were excellent throughout and so well organised.
Wonderful trip 2 , NSW, Australia, Jun 2017
Well organised tour director but she was not able to say anything about Holland America tour and extra options. So, how to know about Holland America extra options? For example we paid US$250 for 'Tracy Arm Fjord & Glacier' extra option to witness falling of icebergs in Sawyer Glacier. But on the fourth day, the ship itself was taking us to Glacier read more Bay which is bigger and better and much more exciting.
Great value for money 2 , NSW, Australia, Jun 2017
This is a great value for money tour. We booked the Gold Leaf Rocky Mountaineer and it is worth the money paid for the service on the train and the accommodation in Kamloops. The views from the train is just majestic. Those towns like Banff, Sun Peaks , Jasper Whistler and Lake Louise are equally scenic and beautiful.

The accommodation in Banff which read more is Bow Lodge is a bit dated compared to the other accommodation that we have. The tour director and bus driver is okay. We make some good friends on the tour and it helped to make our holiday enjoyable.
Masterpiece says it all - Breathtaking scenery   7 , NSW, Australia, May 2017
From the very beginning our guide Ken made me feel welcome and gave a handy hints guide on how to get along in Canada with the tipping and the local customs and made sure you were having the experience you wanted. Ken also steered you in the right direction for the perfect dinner or the supermarket.

Ken made sure you were being looked after and had read more that wonderful photo opportunity as well as experiencing the breath taking scenery that Canada has to offer. Ken as our COSMOS guide felt like a personal guide.

As for the scenery I was able to tick of 3 bucket list items and touring at the beginning of the tourist season, allowed me to see the raging rivers, lush landscape, ice capped lakes not yet melted from Spring or the bare Rocky Mountains. You saw it all.

This tour had everything and touring solo, I never felt alone as everyone was friendly and had the same goal of having a holiday experience of a life time. I would love to do this tour again, and have recommended Cosmos to my friends, like Cosmos was recommended to me. The only thing to let this tour down was two of the accommodations, one is being refurnished so will be better in the future, the other the lift was painfully slow.
Spectacular scenery.   4 , WA, Australia, May 2017
The trip on the whole was definitely worth the money. The scenery was spectacular and I suspect we went at the right time of year. The snow still on the mountains, the ice half melted, not particularly cold and the sky as blue as you could wish for.The guides on various parts of the tour all said the weather was as good as they have seen it, so we felt read more very privileged.

The only thing to be aware of is that there are a number of one night stays and early starts so can be a bit tiring. However doing the train / coach first means that there is plenty of time to relax on the ship. Yvonne at Global Journeys made all the booking process easy and trouble free, even though I live on the opposite side of the country.
Great holiday. Highly recommended 4 , NSW, Australia, May 2017
We had a fabulous time. Our tour director Vedrana, was amazing. She was so informative and knowledgeable about everything we saw. The weather was brilliant, which made all our photos look like postcards. The Rocky mountaineer (Silver Leaf) was fantastic. The girls, Bec, Alex and Hannah, really looked after us. The food and drinks just kept coming. Our read more first day in Banff was picture perfect so we went up on the gondola because Vedrana said the weather wasn't going to be very good the next day (which was the day we were supposed to do the gondola), well the 2nd day in Banff snowed, and we were grateful of 2 things, one that we went up on the gondola the previous day, and two, that we saw it snow. We loved it.
Fantastic tour of Canada and Alaska 4 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2016
My husband and I have just arrived back from a 19 day Canadian and Alaskan Masterpiece Cosmos tour. We had a fantastic time, met great people and saw some fantastic places. We could not fault Cosmos, everything was excellent our tour guide Brad and coach driver John were very informative about all the places we visited and very helpful on things to read more do and see in our free time. All the accommodation was very good. The 2 days on the Rocky Mountaineer were excellent and we would highly recommend Cosmos. If there was anything that we would suggest to improve this tour is to maybe add an extra few days so that you could spend an extra night in a couple of the places that you don't get a chance to see because you arrive late and leave early the next day.
Great 1st Time Cruisers 1 , NSW, Australia, Jul 2016
Great coach driver and Sybill was an excellent tour guide/host. British Columbia, Canada is so beautiful but if we do it again we would book for 21 days (not 19 days as it's not long enough). For the Rocky Mountaineer , I would recommend others travel to upgrade to Gold ticket, it is worth the money paying extra. The Alaskan cruise was good and relaxing, read more the water was very calm for 1st time cruisers and are now looking at European river cruises next year.
Fantastic trip 2 , QLD, Australia, Jul 2016
After (between the lines) been told by Hell world not to go with Cosmos, I decided to compare APT and Cosmos/Globus, saved myself a lot of money for basically the same tour. I have no regrets, trip was fantastic. Canada is a beautiful country. Tour guide Elaine and driver Rob were excellent in their jobs, very caring and concerned for the whole group. read more Rocky mountaineer blew my mind, Goldleaf definitely the way to go. Alaska cruise, couldn't fault it, my friends and I had the time of our lives. I have no hesitation to recommend Cosmos and willing and able I will book a tour again with Global Journeys.
Spactacular! 4 , NSW, Australia, Jun 2016
The trip was much more exciting than I imagined it would be. The scenery and wild life was amazing and there was enough free time to do your own thing. Sharon, our tour guide was informative, had a sense of humour and worked extremely hard. The cruise was enjoyable although the extra excursions were very expensive and not very exciting. It was difficult read more organising expenses when meals were not included. I don't usually comment on airlines as I think they have a difficult job and most airlines are much the same but Air Canada was not good. The service was disorganised and the stewards were very abrupt. The food was ghastly.
Cosmos 19 day Canadian and Alaskan Masterpiece 4 , QLD, Australia, May 2016
Our tour director Mark was passionate about showing visitors his Canada. He gave us good advice about optional excursions and what to do in our "spare" time while on tour. He also gave us good advice about post tour possibilities.
Accommodation was overall very good. The coach driver, Peter, was also very good and always helpful. The Rocky Mountaineer read more Silverleaf exceeded our expectations. The hosts were attentive and entertaining. Unfortunately, our experience on the Volendam did not meet our expectations when compared to other cruise lines. The itinerary for cruising the Inside Passage was good. Glacier Bay was awesome. We liked Canada and have already booked another Cosmos tour for the East coast in September.
