Historic Trails & Blue Ridge Mountains 5 , NSW, Australia, May 2019
Great tour, wonderful presentation in Civil War history, beautiful mountains, parks, town and cities. Knowledgeable tour leader. Skilled bus driver. Accommodation high quality. Good organisation, no hiccups at all. A thoroughly enjoyable trip.
A tour combining American history and scenery   8 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2018
There are just too many historical places we visited to detail individually but highlights included the beautiful picturesque town of Harpers Ferry where John Brown staged a revolt against white slavery, the Kentucky Horse Park which is the final resting place of Secretariat, Lincoln Museum and the Museum of Appalachia.

Our day at the Jamestown ...read more Settlement and particularly Colonial Williamsburg was like stepping back in time and the detail of the buildings and displays were brilliant. Our tour of the Biltmore House was mind blowing and impossible to imagine the wealth of George Washington Vanderbilt who built the biggest and still privately owned house in the United States.

The optional extras of a day at Dollywood theme park and Dolly Parton's Stampede dinner and show were both well worthwhile choices. Both our driver Bob and tour guide Brenda were fantastic. Brenda had so much knowledge of this tour and provided us with endless details of each destination.
Great American History tour 3 , VIC, Australia, Oct 2016
This trip turned out better than we expected for the price and what we saw and did was good value for money. The tour director [Jim Ryan] was terrific, and the caoch driver was great. I would not have included the visit to Valley Forge however it was irrelevant, instead they could have spent some more time maybe in Richmond or the Shenandoah Valley ...read more and still have had time for a farewell dinner last night. The history was fantastic. May I also suggest anyone who does this tour to do your homework in American history before you leave Australia. We read up for weeks prior and it really helped piece together all the places we visited which included both the war of independence and the civil war which of course is one hundred years apart. The fact that we had already visited Boston first helped because that is where the first shot was fired. We met some lovely people on the journey also.
