Sightseeing was very interesting, I'd recommend this tour highly 2 West Coast Highlights , United States, Jan 2013
Jeff is pleasant and interesting and he does the group management part of his job (on and off the coach, counting heads, checking in to hotels, etc.) professionally and carefully without being intrusive or bossy. Pete is a pleasant person and is an awesome driver. They both have great senses of humor. Jeff and Pete work together well. They did helpful read more things that are above the call of duty a couple of times that were really appreciated. For instance, we got stuck in a long traffic jam on a mountain road after a truck accident shut the road. They were in radio communication with emergency services so they could keep us updated on how long we'd be there, they'd planned to serve us tea and cookies if we got stuck, and by golly they got out the hot water and tea bags and cookies and we had a nice little tea stop right beside the road. Another extra: they made a point of coming to meet the new folks who were joining the tour the night before so as to welcome us and get us oriented as to what to do with our bags and how to find the bus. When we got on the bus Jeff introduced us to the group that had been travelling together so we were more easily accepted into the group. We were not near any fires but I had complete confidence that if we'd been threatened in any way they'd have figured out alternative routes in short order.

The sightseeing was very interesting, especially the Cradle Mountain area and the Gordon River Cruise. But every day was interesting and worthwhile. For dings: the food at the Hamer's Grill in Strahan wasn't too good. The new coach has uncomfortable seats and the seatbelts are too tight (and this is coming from someone who's been happily wearing a seatbelt for many decades.) There are other 'new equipment' problems that will get worked out over time. Some of the seat belts were hard to manage and the toilet door was hard to open and shut. The bucket seats are still pretty stiff on the edges of the seats and press into your hips but I think they'll get softer as the bus is used over time. I think Woolmer's would have been more interesting when the roses were actually blooming and if we'd had a guide for the property and a better guide inside the building (my group got a family member who wanted to talk mostly about the preservation of the property through a family trust.) All in all, I'd recommend this tour highly. (Ed. This tour has been amended for the 2014/15 season)
Thoroughly enjoyed every single day 2 Tasmania Complete , Brunei, Sep 2012
It has been a fantastic experience for my husband & I, and we thoroughly enjoyed every single day of the 12 days holiday in Tasmania. Other than the accommodation at Port Arthur which we thought was a little shabby, the rest of the accommodations at hotels and lodges were excellent. Meals were great and dinner cuisines were just wonderful and sumptuous. read more We felt very pampered, being looked after very well by APT staff, Les and David. 12 days of Tasmania packed with excitement in scenic tours, walks in national parks and reserves, understanding the history and heritage of Tasmania, the forests, the wilderness, the mountains and bays, the railway ride, Lady Jane Franklin II cruise... And the most memorable event was on 30th September when my husband & I celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary in Strahan! Thank you for a great tour.
Well put together cruise 1 Best of Vietnam and Cambodia , Australia, Aug 2012
Our river cruise of Vietnam and Cambodia was well put together by APT and we had a great team leader.
Cruise really lived up to the name 3 Magnificent Europe , Australia, Aug 2012
The 'APT Magnificent Europe River Cruise' really lived up to the name. The staff on the ship were excellent. The food was delicious. Balazs Kiss, the cruise manager, was extremely competent, helpfull and organised everything in a very cheeerful and professional manner. Having all meals and tours included in the price helped make the whole experience read more easy and enjoyable, nothing to worry about. The only negative was Malaysia Airlines, on one leg there were faults with the overhead lights, screen and reading light. The last snack they served before arriving in Melbourne on Thursday 27/9/12 was absolutely disgusting.
One of the best holidays we have ever had 2 Vietnam and Cambodia Highlights , Australia, Jul 2012
We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise aboard the MS AmaLotus. The ship was beautifully appointed and the staff could not do enough for us. Our cruise was a 'once off' experience as we were 2 of only 13 passengers on board however we never felt like we were getting anything less than top class service and all tours etc were run as per the itinerary. I loved read more how we would disembark to discover the 'real life and culture' of the Vietnamese and Cambodian villages and then back on board to our attentive staff and luxurious surroundings - this is one of the best holidays we have ever had and our two tour guides were amazing. I would also like to thank Frances for her help in booking the tour and answering any questions we had, she was friendly and professional in her approach. I have no hesitation in recommending your company to friends.

Fabulous trip made easy by the help of our tour consultant, organising two trips of 15 and 13 days back to back with a two day rests in between. 12 countries two boats at a truly great price and no hassles. Wow. Unbeatable service and value! Budapest to Amsterdam on the river, then two nights rest in Amsterdam, 13 nights around the Baltic sea, another read more night in Amsterdam before flying home. What a trip.
Disappointed by the low level of physical activity 4 Essence of the Kimberley , Australia, Jul 2012
Our Tour Guide, Jane Ballantyne, was terrific. She was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, fun and very hardworking. She is a great asset to your company and I hope she is being given opportunities to progress. The food, the itinerary, the accommodation and vehicle were all above average. The biggest disappointment was the level of activity on the ground. read more I had envisaged more walking, hiking and exercise but we were held back by some people whose physical condition made it difficult for them to undertake much physical activity. Maybe you should look at screening people so that more active people can be grouped together and more sedentary ones can be grouped. That way everyone gets what they want.
Exceeded our expectations 2 Magnificent Europe , Australia, Jun 2012
On the 1st day I wished it was the last, and on the last day I wished it was the 1st. Exceeded our expectations. Our Global Journeys Consultant, Frances was excellent.

Each day ran like clockwork 3 Kimberley Complete , Australia, Aug 2011
Thank you for the wonderful tour to the Kimberley! Everything went as planned: the prior arrangements, all contact and notifications, the pickup by the tour bus at the beginning, each day ran like clockwork and with great enjoyment. The tour leader and bus driver was very knowledgeable, drove carefully along the rugged countryside and was helpful to read more all. We were dropped at our arranged place at the end after a great tour. I would like to recommend the tour and your company, Global Journeys, to others. Thank you again.
A once in a lifetime experience 3 Kimberley Complete , Australia, May 2011
Our West Australian Kimberley adventure was a once in a lifetime experience. The remote frontier wilderness with its chasms, gorges, caves and tunnels, waterfalls, rivers, hot springs and amazing sunsets excited the senses. Amazing wildlife, dingos howling in the bush at night and the many sightings of fresh water crocodiles added to our Aussie Adventure. read more The helicoper flight over the bungle bungles is etched in our memories. Flowering trees, scrubs and boab trees were also a photographers delight. The tour was so well organised from beginning to end - comfortable 4 wheel drive truck, expert tour guide, 1st class accommodation and meals, wonderful travelling companions - it was very hard to leave the isolation and solitude behind. A special thank-you to Craig (Global Journeys) who made this dream of ours a reality, especially with the changing itinerary due to road closures so close to our departure time. He kept us so well informed and this was greatly appreciated. Well done.
A great success 2 Kimberley Complete , United Kingdom, May 2011
Just a quick email to let you know that my trip was a great success and that I arrived home today in spite of that pesky Icelandic volcano! There was a bit less physical activity than I would have liked but I certainly covered the ground which I wanted to cover and I saw some great sights. What a change from camping though! All in all it was an excellent read more trip. The accommodation was of a high standard, some of it of truly first class quality. The tour guide Zoe and driver Kevin were perfect in their roles and the weather was generally very good. There was one rainy day - at Marble Bar of all places. It was 17C and wet in what is described as Australia's consistently hottest place and also one of the driest spots in the country. Still the long drive from there to Newman on the dirt road was exciting as it rapidly turned into red mud for a couple of hundred kms. It was nice doing business with you and I liked the prompt and friendly responses I had whenever I contacted you. Thanks too for the prompt refund for the slight change in itinerary. To be honest I hadn't expected it, but Zoe told all of us who had chosen the Echidna Chasm option that we would be getting a refund in due course. This was to have been my last trip To Australia but I am being told that I should have a look at Tasmania and the Albany / Esperance area south of Perth. However my goal is the Antarctic next February so I guess they will have to wait!
I'd recommend this tour to anyone who loves nature 1 West Coast Highlights , United States, Apr 2011
I have always wanted to tour Tasmania, and it certainly lived up to my expectations. The tour was well designed. I was the only American in the group, which was wonderful. I learned so much by traveling with Australians, and they made me feel at home. The highlight - seeing a Tasmanian devil in the wild one night! I'd recommend this tour to anyone who loves nature.
The wilderness camps were great 2 Kimberley Complete , United Kingdom, Apr 2011
Although the roads were cut in the Kimberley due to the big wet season this year, APT ensured we got to most of the locations. A lot of travelling in the 4WD vehicle was replaced by fly-in fly-out option. I thought this was excellent, and we actually suggested that they should consider offering a tour option with a lot more flights incorporated into read more the trip. We had a great time and the wilderness camps were great. I am considering going back to do the fly-in option to Mitchell Falls (we were not able to get into the camp and visit the falls) in the near future.
As comprehensive as it could be, excellent tour 1 Tasmania Complete , United States, Feb 2011
In general, the tour was excellent. The itinerary was as comprehensive as it could be, the tour director and tour driver were wonderful, and most of the accommodations were quite nice.
Great tour, met expectation 1 West Coast Highlights , Australia, Jan 2011

It could not have been better! 1 Tasmania Complete , Italy, Jan 2011
Everything went very well. The tour director was excellent, the driver outstanding, hotels on a par with what we were expecting, at times more, never less! The food always excellent, at times outstanding (like the crayfish diner!) along with very good company. Overall, I'd say it could not have been better! All the very best.
