Cruise Glacier Bay The primary tourist season in Alaska runs from May to September with peak season being June to August. The weather in Alaska can be unpredictable but by mid-June, all summer activities are open and available. The cruise season operates over the same months. Mid-June to mid-July is considered to be the height of summer and so demand and prices will be higher then too. More competitive pricing may be found in early May at the beginning of the season and towards the end, in late September.
