Bali & Beyond

Arrive at Denpasar airport and head to the hotel. You can relax by the pool/beach or explore Canggu before we enjoy a rooftop dinner and drinks in the evening where you will meet the rest of your group.

Today we explore the culture of Bali as we head to two of it’s most famous temples – Tanah Lot which is set on a rock formation in the sea; and the Royal Temple of Taman Ayun. In the evening we have the opportunity to take in the sunset on one of Canggu’s coolest beaches before big night out on the town in Canggu. (B)

On our third day we hit the beach! We learn to surf in the morning with our awesome local instructors on Kuta Beach, followed by a chilled afternoon on one of Bali’s most beautiful beaches, watching the sunset. (B)

It’s time to back our bags as we move location to the bohemian jungle town of Ubud – enroute to our next destination we make a stop at a beautiful waterfall to cool off. We then move to our awesome accommodation to check in, before we visit one of Bali’s coolest live music destinations for an evening of singing & dancing. (B)

In the morning, we head down to the local food markets to learn and observe where all our fresh ingredients come from. Our local family will explain in detail about all the ingredients before heading back to their village. Here we will learn to make some of Bali’s most famous dishes as well as Canang Sari, the flower offerings made for the God. In the afternoon we go and meet some of Ubud’s cheekiest locals at the sacred monkey forest, where it is believed the hundreds of monkeys that live there protect the ancient temples inside. (B/L)

Today we will spend the morning wandering through the scenic rice terraces of Tegalalang. Trek through the valleys and stop off at one of the many swings for photos or a cool coconut and see how these beautiful formations still play a very important role in the locals’ present day way of life. Next we visit Kintamani for lunch overlooking the active volcano Mt. Batur before heading back to pick up some souvenirs at the colourful and vibrant local market. (B)

It’s time to head to the islands! We catch the bus/ferry over to the stunning tiny island of Gili Trawangan. We will check in to our tropical accommodation in the heart of the island for our final few days. Once there, we spend the afternoon having a beer & chilling by the pool or explore the many beaches that surround the island! Catch a beautiful sunset on the beach before heading out for dinner . Now it’s time to party! Explore Gili’s famous nightlife in the many beachside bars the island has to offer. (B)

We enjoy the day island-hopping on our boat trip around the three Gili Islands. Head to some of the best snorkel spots around Gili Meno where you will see stunning coral, beautiful fish, turtles and coral conservation projects. Enjoy a beachfront lunch on Gili Meno! Dreamy right? (B)

Today we will explore the island on one of Gili’s only modes of transportation, push bike! Cycle around the island exploring different beaches, activities and take a small trek up the hill to see Gili’s only viewpoint and explore a bit of history with remnants of an old WWII bunker. Check out one last sunset before our farewell dinner and party to celebrate the best 10 days of your life! (B)

The adventure continues as we make our way east to Lombok, the sister island of Bali. Taking in the scenic route as we drive south the to beachside surf town of Kuta Lombok. Upon reaching the hotel enjoy a relaxed afternoon by the pool or venture around town. (B)

Start the day off by immersing ourselves in the local customs and cultures of Lombok at the Sasak Village. Follow along as our local guides explain about village life and the traditional weaving techniques handed down from generation to generation. Next, we check out 3 of Lombok's scenic waterfalls only accessible by jungle trek. (B)

Pack some sunscreen and a towel as today we will visit some of the most pristine beaches Lombok has to offer. Set off to 2 different locations along the southern coastline where we will enjoy white sandy beaches, friendly locals and a chance to top up that tan. (B)

Pack your bags! Today we travel by bus and ferry to our next location, Sumbawa Island. Check in to our beach front bungalows and enjoy a peaceful afternoon on the beach or next to the pool. (B)

Set off on a day trip to the almost uninhabited island of Moyo. Here we will take a ride into the heart of the island where our local guides will show us the hidden gems nestled within the jungle with a chance to swim in the beautiful and untouched waterfalls of Moyo. Enjoy lunch on the beach before boarding the boat back home, catching the sunset along the way. (B)

Today we head off on our very own Liveaboard boat, an amazing Tru Exclusive. We will be on a converted traditional wooden boat which has been transformed for this journey of a lifetime! Sharing a dorm style room on the top deck, and having traditional style showers it's a Truly unique backpacking experience you won’t get anywhere else! The first part of our voyage has us stopping off at Satonda Island, grab a snorkel and mask and jump in! Check out the bay or the salt lake crater! Finish the day with a delicious local meal sitting on the deck as the sun sets for our first-night sailing. Fall asleep under the stars as we sail through the night. With little to no light pollution around the Komodo Island’s the sky has never been clearer. It's ultimate island hopping bliss. (B/L/D)

Wake up and have breakfast looking out to mountainous views, look down and see crystal clear waters. You’re in paradise. How aboat it? ;) We’re in Komodo National park. Fill yourself up at breakfast because we’re sailing to Manta Point, home to families of Manta Rays. Snorkel up close with some of the friendliest creatures in the marine world. Although daunting in size, Manta Rays are harmless and thriving in the wild out here. We’ll be visiting Pink Beach. Yeah it’s really pink! Before taking a small trek on Padar Island for one of Indonesia’s most renowned viewpoints. This evening’s our last on the boat, so we have dinner cooked on board and 1 too many drinks! Sleep up deck, stay up all night listening to the waves, vow to become a sailor when you get home. You do you. (B/L/D)

Take a step back in time as you enter the Jurassic world of the Komodos. Here we are greeted by our local guides who inhabit the island before setting off in search of these prehistoric creatures. Take an educational tour of 1 of only 5 islands these creatures inhabit. Our journey then continues east as our time aboard draws to a close. Say our farewells to the Capt & Crew before checking in to our beautiful resort in Labuan Bajo, Flores. Enjoy a farewell dinner and drinks with the group. (B/L)
