Itinerary
Welcome to Calgary, where you'll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a Welcome Reception this evening in preparation for your winter holiday adventure.
Depart Calgary and travel through the Rocky Mountains to Lake Louise, the ‘Jewel of the Rockies'. During winter, Lake Louise looks like something out of a fairytale: it's like a real-life snow globe with its glittering ice castles and a glassy skate rink. Enjoy time to sit back and take in this magnificent setting over dinner.
Insider Experience: Stay at the iconic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.
After breakfast, travel to Banff National Park where you'll be shown around on arrival. Then the afternoon is yours to spend at leisure.
You have the entire day in Banff to explore however you choose. Perhaps take an ice walk through Johnston Canyon to admire the waterfalls and icefalls. You might enjoy a dog sled or sleigh ride instead. Or head out on a Banff Experience tour to discover the local township at your own expense.
Return to Calgary for your included flight to Yellowknife. Upon arrival, you'll find winter apparel ready for you at your hotel. Layer up before it's time to head out on an experience that will undoubtedly be a highlight. Tonight, your Insider Experience awaits.
Insider Experience: Head to Aurora Village for Northern Lights viewing. Look out for dancing lights which flicker green, magenta and violet across the night sky.
Perhaps try dog sledding today. Or, slide into traditional snowshoes and take a guided walk along the back trails of the village. You might prefer to go snowmobiling through the frosty landscape. All optional activities are at own expense.
Insider Experience: Tonight at Aurora Village, your heated 360-degree viewing seat awaits.
Return to Yellowknife where you'll take a tour through the town and enjoy the rare chance to drive via the Ice Road - weather dependent. These icy roads and highways provide an essential link between isolated towns during the winter, when otherwise these remote communities are inaccessible by land during the warmer months.
An early morning flight takes you to Vancouver.
On arrival enjoy a city tour. Then there's time to settle into your hotel and perhaps enjoy dinner at a local restaurant tonight.
Today is all about your Insider Experience.
Insider Experience: Enjoy a Skyride to the top of Grouse Mountain, with a snowshoe tour via the Light Walk, followed by a delicious fondue dinner to cap off your exciting adventure.
After breakfast, your tour comes to an end with a transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
