Itinerary

Arrive in Munich, where you will be met and transferred to your river ship, docked on the enchanting Danube River. Meet your Cruise Director and fellow passengers at a Welcome Reception. Stay Seven Nights: aboard your Travelmarvel river ship (D)

In the beautiful city of Passau, enjoy a guided walking tour through the cobbled lanes of the Altstadt, taking in its historic charm and architectural highlights. Then enjoy the Aldersbach Brewery Insider Experience. (B/L/D)

Insider Experience - Aldersbach Brewery Travel by coach to nearby Aldersbach brewery founded in 1268, where you'll be welcomed by local musicians and taken on a tour of the brewery. Afterwards, enter the festival hall to enjoy locally brewed beer with tastings of some local food, all in the spirit of Oktoberfest, with live music and singing.

Today, choose how you'd like to explore. You may wish to join an optional tour to either Český Krumlov in the Czech Republic or Salzburg, or simply enjoy time at leisure in Linz. (B/L/D)

Enhance Your Journey - Český Krumlov Visit Enjoy a fascinating day excursion to the UNESCO-listed town of Český Krumlov, home to more than 300 historic buildings and a beautifully preserved medieval centre.

Enhance Your Journey - Salzburg Sights Travel through Austria's scenic countryside to Salzburg. Stop at Mondsee, where you'll see the famous Wedding Church from The Sound of Music, before continuing to Salzburg for a guided tour of Mozart's hometown. Enjoy free time to explore at your own pace before returning to the ship.

Join a local guide to see Melk Abbey, an active Benedictine monastery since 1089. Cruise through the picturesque Wachau Valley, then continue to Dürnstein, where you have a free afternoon to explore. Perhaps join an optional tour to taste some of the region's wine. (B/L/D)

Enhance Your Journey - Wine Tasting Visit Dürnstein Abbey, where you'll savour a glass of the local Grüner Veltliner or riesling produced in the region, as well as delicious brandy.

Embrace the elegance of Vienna as you drive around the Ringstrasse, taking in some of the city's most famous buildings. On arrival in the centre, a walking tour will provide an insider's view of sights such as St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Graben and Hofburg Palace. Afterwards, perhaps visit the Naschmarkt and browse the stalls. This evening, you could enjoy an optional concert. (B/L/D)

Enhance Your Journey - Mozart and Strauss Concert Enjoy a Mozart and Strauss concert in one of Vienna's palaces or concert venues, followed by an evening drive around the Ringtrasse.

Today, discover Slovakia's capital, Bratislava, on a walking tour through the Old Town where you will see St Martin's Cathedral, Primatial Palace and Main Square. You'll also visit the only surviving example of the original four entrances to the city, Michael's Gate. Tonight, celebrate the end of your river cruise with a Captain's Farewell Dinner. (B/L/D)

Awake to views of one of the Danube's most enchanting cities this morning. Disembark and learn the vibrant history of Budapest as your local guide takes you to a host of impressive sights, including Heroes' Square and St. Stephen's Cathedral. Enjoy free time this afternoon to explore Budapest at your leisure, or perhaps join our fascinating optional excursion. (B/L/D)

Enhance Your Journey - Hospital in the Rock Tour this museum, once a World War II hospital, located in the caves beneath Buda Castle.

After breakfast, disembark your river ship and transfer to the airport for your onward included flight to Zagreb. Upon arrival, you'll be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. Stay: Sheraton Zagreb (B)

Today, you'll be transferred from your hotel to Opatija as a group to board your ship, Princess Eleganza. After settling in, meet your fellow travellers and Cruise Director during the Captain's Welcome Dinner. Stay Seven Nights: aboard the MV Princess Eleganza (B/D)

Enjoy some free time in Opatija before you set sail and drop anchor off the stunning island of Krk, where you can take a refreshing swim in the Adriatic. After a leisurely lunch on board and a relaxed afternoon of sailing, your ship will arrive at the island of Rab. The evening is yours to explore the charming Old Town of Rab, a beautifully preserved late medieval settlement nestled on a slender peninsula. Stroll along the white-washed harbour foreshore at your own pace, and perhaps indulge in a meal at a local restaurant overlooking the lively port marina. (B/L)

This morning your ship will drop anchor near the island of Pag, where you may like to go for a swim (weather permitting). Arrive in Zadar later in the day and enjoy a guided afternoon walking tour through the atmospheric Old Town. Admire its Roman columns and portals, beautiful churches, baroque palaces and Renaissance buildings.

This tour will conclude at the Sea Organ, an architectural sound art object and musical instrument powered by sea waves and tubes beneath large marble steps. Nearby is the Sun Salutation, a monument of 300 multi-layered glass plates that absorb solar energy by day and create a waterfront light show at sunset. Both were created by Croatian architect Nikola Bašić. Return to your ship for dinner this evening. (B/L/D)

Šibenik is known as the gateway to the magical Krka National Park, and today you will spend the afternoon at the dramatic waterfalls this area is famous for. Afterwards, return to the MV Princess Eleganza. Your ship remains in port overnight in Šibenik. Following dinner on board your ship this evening, you may like to head into town to enjoy exploring Šibenik's beautiful squares, as well as its narrow, winding streets. (B/L/D)

Insider Experience - Krka National Park Experience the natural beauty of Krka National Park. Here, explore the dramatic waterfalls, where the highlight is Skradinski Buk, a large natural pool with high waterfalls at one end and countless cascades at the other, where the rushing river forces its way through a barrier of tiny islets. Take a walk along wooden jetties and bridges to admire the falls, and the unique flora and fauna.

After breakfast, enjoy a walk through the historic town of Šibenik. Wander through the well-preserved, white-walled Old Town with your guide. Arrive in Split later this afternoon and set out on a guided walk through the town, exploring the Palace of Diocletian. Your ship will moor close to town in the evening, giving you the chance to enjoy dinner in one of the many restaurants located on the picturesque Riva Promenade. (B/L)

On arrival at the Croatian island of Vis, disembark to explore this remote and largely untouched natural beauty during a scenic drive around the island. Return to the ship for lunch before sailing to Korčula. Join a local guide to explore the city's maze of cobblestone medieval streets and elegant squares, flanked by palaces of the old nobility. This Old Town may not be as well-known as Dubrovnik, but this destination is every bit as rewarding for those lucky enough to visit. Your ship moors near to the town overnight, meaning you can enjoy dinner in one of the local restaurants. (B/L)

Stop at the idyllic island of Badija for a swim in the warm azure waters of the Adriatic Sea before continuing to Dubrovnik. Spend the afternoon on a guided walk through the unrivalled ‘Pearl of the Adriatic', the medieval Old Town of Dubrovnik.

A guided tour of Dubrovnik's World Heritage-listed fortress begins at the impressive Pile Gate, which has stood guard at the entry of this unique walled city for centuries. Within the ancient fortifications, wander through narrow limestone alleys and marble paved boulevards to see the grand Gothic-Renaissance Rector's Palace, the Dominican and Franciscan Monasteries, and the inspiring Sponza Palace before returning to your ship later this evening for a Farewell Dinner on board. Your journey draws to its conclusion after breakfast this morning with a transfer to the airport. (B)
