Memorable experience 0 , NSW, Australia, Jul 2025
Well designed tour with an itinerary that enables visitors to see the Golden Circle and many of Iceland's attractions. It truly is a country of natural wonders. The meals provided and the accommodation were pretty good. Some of the optional excursions such as the visit to the Whale Museum could've been included in the actual itinerary, The Tour Director read more and the Driver were excellent and worked very well as a team.. The TD was professional, very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. The booking of the tour via Global Journeys was an easy and seamless process and Tracey Standing did a marvellous job keeping us informed every step of the way and promptly answering all of my questions. I wholeheartedly recommend both the Insight Vacations tour of Iceland and Global Journeys.
Land of waterfalls, glaciers and geysers   7 , NSW, Australia, Jun 2017
We thought mid-summer was a good time of year to visit Iceland but unfortunately it was unseasonably cold and the problem is the beauty of Iceland is much diminished when it is cloudy and raining. The itinerary was good although there were a couple of long driving days with nothing special to see. The accommodation was on the whole good although a couple read more of hotels were below standard - very small room and badly equipped room.

The food included in the tour was excellent, especially the evening meals which comprised a varied selection of fish and seafoods. The breakfasts were also very good. Finding our mid-day lunch posed a problem as most places provided a limited selection of food which was extremely expensive. It was a nice surprise to find the Blue Lagoon had been included in the itinerary and it was a good way to finish the trip.
Iceland Dreaming   6 , QLD, Australia, Sep 2016
Outstanding organization and planning from Global Journeys - they booked the Insight tour around Iceland and then also got me the best airfare deal of all. The booked flights were all on time and my luggage followed me everywhere!
Insight have the best tour guides and the Iceland trip was no different - an extremely informed guide whose expressive read more and receptive English skills were of a very high level. She was a very proud Icelandic woman whose knowledge of her country's history and landscape was complete and up to date. Iceland is beginning to cater for tourists much better and hotels were of a standard to very good quality as we toured around the whole of the island. I would recommend the mix of using Global Journeys and Insight as these two companies have a complete service which delivers on its promises!
