Itinerary
Welcome to Salt Lake City! After meeting and greeting with your Contiki crew today, we're headed into the welcoming arms of Mother Nature. The Grand Tetons Mountain Range rises above a scene rich with abundant wildlife, pristine lakes, and spectacular mountain peaks. Take a walk to Inspiration Point or enjoy a scenic stroll around Jenny Lake while gazing up in awe at the surrounding landscape. Have a picnic, try and spot a moose or two on the horizon, and soak up all that serenity. (L/D)
We're headed from Grand Teton today towards somewhere arguably even more spectacular. Welcome to the world's first National Park: a hushed mountain wilderness, home to grizzly bears, wolves, and herds of buffalo and elk - as well as canyons, glaciers, waterfalls and volcanoes. Visit Old Faithful and the Grand Prismatic Pool, Yellowstone Canyon, and explore geysers throughout both the North and South loop. With your expert local guide, you'll know exactly where to find all the hotspots. (B/L/D)
Rise and shine - we've got more adventures to discover in Yellowstone today. Continue to discover Yellowstone with your guide. Go on hikes ranging from easy to moderate and 2 to 5 miles (3 to 8 km) in length, and see more spectacular volcanic features. Your guide will tailor walks to your group's abilities and interests. Get up close and personal with some wildlife with a fun and educational visit to the Yellowstone Grizzly Bear and Wolf Discovery Center this morning. This afternoon head back to Salt Lake City for your drop off at the Crystal Inn Hotel downtown at approx 4pm. (B/L)
