Itinerary
Welcome to Croatia! We'll meet our host and get to know our new friends this morning before driving inland to one of the most spectacular National Parks in the world. En-route, we will enjoy the first of many delicious Croatian meals: think grilled meats and plenty of healthy veg. Arriving at Plitvice, we'll settle into our accommodation and have some time to chill out.
Then it's time to kick off the adventure with our very first hike. Make sure there's some space on your camera roll: today we'll take the stunning Plitvice Loop, through the Upper and Lower Lakes and past the magnificent Great Waterfall. Returning to the accommodation, giddy from all that scenery, we'll enjoy a well deserved included feast where we'll taste fresh local produce. What a start, and there's more to come. After fuelling up with a hearty breakfast this morning, we'll set off to explore the Plitvice Valley on an included bike tour. Afterwards, we'll enjoy a tremendous picnic… with an equally tremendous view.
This afternoon, you're free to choose your adventure: options include exploring an abandoned Military Airport, exploring more of the Plitvice Valley on two wheels, or heading into the towns of Slunj and Rastoke for some trail walking and swimming.
Tonight, we'll regroup at our accommodation with time for dinner (and a well-deserved rest.) (B)
After breakfast today we say goodbye to Plitvice National Park and make our way South toward the town of Skradin. Upon arrival we'll explore Roski Slap, the Great Waterfall of Krka, before enjoying a delicious buffet lunch with fresh local produce including mouthwatering prosciutto and cheese.
After lunch we'll make our way into the otherworldly Krka National Park where we'll hike amongst some of the most beautiful landscapes in Croatia. After some relaxing time in the park, we make the short drive to Split where our trip ends, but the scenery we've witnessed will live long in the memory. (B/L)
