This was a fantastic vacation, it doesn't get the highest rating as it was very cold in Alaska and lot of activities still weren't running. We recommend Travelmarvel and global journeys as everything went of without a drama as was as beautiful as expected. We will use Michelle from Global Journeys and Travelmarvel again.
Good sightseeing tour of the east coast. 2

This was a tour suitable for over 55's but not disabled. It was a sightseeing holiday, not an exploring tour. It benifited from 3 days where we were free to do what we liked when we got to our daily itinerary destination. It lacked a visit to a sugar mill, though there were many we passed on the tour. 14 days touring would have been better than the read more 12 scheduled, but we enjoyed the trip.

Travelmarvel's organisation was excellent and the tour director (Son) did a great job. The cruise in Halong Bay was great and both the ship and crew were very accommodating. We also had an excellent cruise on the Mekong River for 7 days and the crew was very efficient and friendly. The food was great and plentiful. Global Journeys handling of our read more booking on behalf of Travelmarvel was done very efficiently and we were very satisfied with the outcome.

The whole experience with Global Journeys & Travelmarvel was very good from the booking experience to the finish of the Tour. Travelmarvel is tremendous with their separate Tour Director & Coach Driver who really know how to inform you about the history & sights of the country side. I would have no hesitation in recommending Global Journeys & Travelmarvel read more to anyone for their holidays.
Our Grand Tasman tour with Travelmarvel was excellent in all respects. Firstly, we had an extremely experienced and knowledgeable tour director Warren who was a fount of knowledge about Tassie, and had everything organised for us before we reached each destination. Warren and coach driver David were a great team who knew each other well. The coach was read more very comfortable, and views from all seats were excellent. All hotels were of high quality, as were meals at all venues. The various places we visited were expecting us when we arrived, and everything worked to clockwork. Highlights were many, but Port Arthur and the Gordon River cruise out of Strahan stood out. We also loved the history of so many of the towns we visited. Overall, it was a great tour which we considered to be value for money, and which we would happily recommend to anyone.

Highlights of South America

20 days, 4 countries, 12 flights in South America. Simply too much! Although with a group of 32 from Australia and the UK and with continuous stimulation, there were no hitches, but improvements could be made. Excellent but often remote hotels - rather hotels should be close to the CBDs so during free time could walk around and get the feel of the place. read more More time in cities Santiago, Buenes Aires, Rio & Lima less in country side Peru. This would also mean less travel time which was ridiculous eg. from Cusco to Puna.
Tasmania is a spectacular place to see and worth visiting. We did the 10 day tour with Carol and Coach Driver Simon and a lovely bunch of Aussies, English, Scottish, Kiwis and Dutch tourists. The weather in Feb was great, the interaction of the passengers was fantastic. We were always on time to board the bus. Carol and Simon had great personalities read more and their knowledge of the places we visited was top rate. We started and finished in Launceston . My sister and I had a great time. Most of the accommodation was comfortable. Straun was the highlight for me with its lovely Macquarie Harbour, the trip up the Gordon Franklin River to see the pristine wilderness and the Huon Pines on the riverbank- a must see for the Bucket List. A well organized no worry trip from everyone concerned with booking and execution.

This was a wonderful trip. We learnt so much more than we ever knew about the Vidtnam and Cambodian wars. The tour guides were inspirational and so knowledgeable and they spoke such good English as well. We couldn't have asked for better. Our main complaint would be embarking the La Marguerite. Just so primitive with no hand rails scrambling down read more the river bank. Surely Travelmarvel could improve this and other spots we had to get on and off throughout the trip.

First I would like to point out that I was a little bit hesitant before this trip as I did not know what to expect and had heard all kinds of horrible stories about not drinking the water, not eating this and that and people questioning our choice in general. All I can say now is, WOW!! We survived all the so-called horrors and thoroughly enjoyed the read more whole trip. We stayed safe by only using bottled water and only eating on the boats, hotels and recommended restaurants. Travelmarvel even supplied us with cold bottled water on the buses during excursions and it was supplied in the hotels too. I can only congratulate Travelmarvel for its high standard of employees, from our tour director (Yee) who stayed with us from start to finish, the local guides who gave us their own personal knowledge to the bus drivers and helpers on the bus who made sure we got on and off safely with a helping hand and cold face wipes and antibacterial hand gel on our return to the bus. At every moment we felt safe and protected and well looked after. We will definitely travel with them again and recommend them to our family and friends. The 3 hotels were very grand and beautiful and central to everything. The "junk" and La Marguerite were also great as were the staff on board. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough, but be prepared for the heat. We would also like to thank Global Journeys for their easy and efficient booking for us, no problems at all. We will be returning customers.
We have just done a Xmas Travelmarvel Diamond Trip from Amsterdam to Budapest, the trip was well organised and the airfares done by Georgie went really well. The staff and Captain made you feel like family with anything you wanted. Meals and excursions were excellent, only thing we missed was snow on Xmas day but managed to get some in Prague. Overall read more a great trip and can highly recommend this trip. The tour director on the ship was always helpful and just made the trip that much better. Many thanks Georgie for arranging a unforgettable trip and experience.

From the original inquiry and booking process through to the ticketing the effort from Global Journeys was very professional and always on time. The contact when needed or requested from Hannah was always handled correctly. The trip it self with TravelMarvel was very professional and could only be described as excellent value for money. The Tour Director read more that we had for the entire trip was just the best and his tour guides along the way were a credit to themselves and the company. Ha Long Bay is a must to do and the Mekong cruise was a major highlight. We upgraded to a suite on the Mekong cruise and it was worth every cent, just do it ! The entire trip thru Vietnam & Cambodia was on time and operated in a very very professional approach for all concerned. Do this trip and you will see this part of Asia in a relaxed yet well understood manner. We could only recommend the whole process that we have just completed. We are now planning a trip to Myanmar on the Irrawaddy River for our next sojourn as a result of this most enjoyable hassle free experience with both Global Journeys and TravelMarvel.

Overall the trip was very nice and enjoyable. Lovely boat and the hotels were in good location. Tour guides were excellent and had really good sense of humour. Great choice of food on the boat. This was my first cruise and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you Travelmarvel and Yvonne, I will certainly book my next holiday with you.

Overall the experience was very good however there were a couple of things that could have been better considering the cost of the cruise. I was told that sparkling wine would be included in the cost however this wasn't the case except they did have a bottle at breakfast. The red & white wine supplied was not of a high standard. Andrew our cruise director read more was fantastic, and very knowledgeable. Our regular waitress Sonya really looked after us and gave us great service. We have recommended this cruise to our friends, and would definitely do another cruise through Global Journeys.
We would definitely travel with Travelmarvel again! 3

This was a well planned trip, giving comprehensive information about Vietnam and Cambodia. The accommodation, both on the water and on land was excellent, with particular praise reserved for the Shinta Mani resort in Siem Reap, which is perhaps one of the best hotels we have stayed at in the world. Our tour guide, Han Nguyen, was exceptional and considerably read more enhanced our travel experience with his knowledge and good humour. We would definitely travel with Travelmarvel again!
From obtaining a quote from Georgie at Global Journeys and booking the cruise everything went smoothly. Our travel documents arrived in plenty of time. Flights were organised according to our plans. The cruise was excellent. Food, shore excursions, entertainment, our cruise director Arno all exceeded expectations. Because of the low water level read more on the Danube quite a few ships were having to unload passengers and their luggage and coach them to the next port. The Sapphire was able to cruise the whole way. We have booked with Global Journeys before and would not hesitate to use them again. Would highly recommend Travelmarvel.

Thought the tour leader on the river cruise wasn't as good as we had on Avalon! Hotel in Siam Reap was one of the best run hotels we have ever been to anywhere in the world.

Excellent holiday, although too many very early morning starts. All meals were brilliant. Tour was well organised with plenty of stops.
Was an awesome holiday. The tour guide and bus driver we very good also. We were really looked after. The tour was really good and I think it was well worth it as if we had gone by ourselves we would have missed out on a lot as we would not have known where to go and what we were looking at unless we had done a lot of research and that means a lot of headaches!

A very enjoyable trip, the tour director and coach driver were great. Accommodation good and lovely meals. would travel with APT again. A farewell dinner would have been good, a nice crowd on tour.
