Trip around Tasmania 6 Grand Tasman , QLD, Australia, Sep 2016
I had a good time but probably won't use Travelmarvel again as I didn't realise it is the budget arm of APT. As such the standard of rooms and meals was pretty low, but not all of them, I have to say. There was a lot of driving around in the coach until about 4-5pm and we would have preferred to get into our rooms a bit earlier and have a walk around read more the area. We only had time to have dinner, then it was too dark to see anything outside and then we were off again at the crack of dawn the next morning. The highlights were all the sights we saw around Tasmania. Carol our tour guide and Ron the coach driver did a wonderful job driving us around and giving us all the relevant facts.
17 Day Discover Vietnam & Cambodia 1 Discover Vietnam and Cambodia , WA, Australia, Sep 2016
We had a fabulous holiday and surprisingly survived their traffic. We have seen and learnt so much about Vietnam and Cambodia. In both countries so many people live in poor conditions but they work hard and are very friendly. Thank you to Hannah for your help in organizing our trip. You made everything so easy for us. We would definitely travel with read more Travelmarvel again. We have lots of wonderful memories. From the time we were met at Hanoi airport by Karnh until we were taken to Saigon airport, to fly home, we were extremely well looked after. Our Tour Guide Tu was very professional and well organized. All the local guides were well chosen and did their best to give us information about life in their particular part of Vietnam or Cambodia. The hotels were of a high standard and all positioned centrally ( Shinta Mani Resort in Siem Reap was the highlight). We were fed so well during the whole trip. The cruises on Halong Bay and the Mekong were thoroughly enjoyable. In fact the whole trip was thoroughly enjoyable. We are so glad we went.
Another hassle free holiday!   1 European Gems - Amsterdam to Prague , NSW, Australia, Sep 2016
Another hassle free holiday arranged by Georgie. Had a great time met and made some wonderful friends and saw amazing sights. Our cruise director Petra did a fantastic job even when due to unforeseen circumstances last minute arrangements had to be made to get passengers to their departure points. All of the local guide were great and very informative.
Well Organised Trip 2 European Gems - Paris to Prague , VIC, Australia, Aug 2016
I have to say this was a great trip along the canals of Europe. The travel brochires forgot to tell us that in the first five to six days you cannot access the roof area of the ship owing to the amount of locks. We became a bit tired of being shut up inside when the weather was so good. There could of be a lot more entertainment during this time. The read more staff on board were great and friendly, the food was amazing, with no shortage of fresh vegetables. The trip was amazing and global journeys booking system was faultless.
16 day West Coast tour 5 West Coast Adventure , TAS, Australia, Aug 2016
We very much enjoyed our trip though coach travel would never be my first preference. It was that or we would not have seen the most beautiful coast of WA. I hadn't realized that the 16 day tour was the same as the 18 day tour, apart from the initial and final days. and there were some tours that our fellow travelers booked that I hadn't realized were read more available. The tour guide and bus driver were most attentive, almost protective of us, and did much to make the tour as comfortable as possible.
A relaxing trip with new friends   1 European Gems - Prague to Paris , QLD, Australia, Aug 2016
Global Journeys was extremely professional in the organisation of the trip through Europe. My GJ agent was very friendly and the guidance given made the travel hassle free. The only downside was the ABC (Another B......y Church), it was enlightening on the history of the ABC's but everyday becomes tiresome. The Tour Guides were very patient and considerate read more of all (young & the non so young). You could not fault the food and service on board the river boats, all the crew had smiles for all. We would recommend that everyone should experience a Europe river cruise at least once.
A must to see 7 Essential Vietnam and Cambodia , QLD, Australia, Aug 2016
The whole trip was fantastic. We started our trip in Singapore for a couple of days, an awesome place. Then we joined our fellow travellers in Cambodia. The accommodation was fantastic, the Tour Director was incredible. The Tour Guides had so much knowledge and we enjoyed all they had to say. The La Marguerite River Ship was amazing and all the staff read more were fantastic, nothing was any trouble. There were 82 in all Travelmarvel travellers, so we had the whole ship. Great group of people and have made friends for life. We crossed into Vietnam while on the ship. While the immigration paper work was being done, there were wonderful sessions we all joined doing, so much fun. Vietnam and Cambodia were amazing and so interesting. We loved visiting the schools, they were awesome days. We were very lucky with the weather, only two little showers and the rest was sunshine. Thank you to Hannah and Global Journeys for all the organisation of our fantastic trip. We will be booking with you again soon. We have been telling everyone about our trip.
Great way to see Europe 7 European Gems , QLD, Australia, Aug 2016
Travel Marvel is a good operator and it was easy booking through Global Journeys. Good mix of travellers. Great cruise director. August was great time of year to travel through Europe.
Great trip through Asia 3 , NSW, Australia, Jul 2016
Great trip through China, Cambodia and Vietnam. The local guides were fantastic and provided us with so much information in such a friendly and cheerful manner, accomodation was good and the river cruise ships were all so professional and well presented. Would definitely recommend this as a good way to see Asia.
Amazing Trip Siem Reap to Saigon on the La Marguerite   4 Essential Vietnam and Cambodia , VIC, Australia, Jul 2016
This is the second trip we have booked through Global Journeys and once again it was hassle free everything was organised online and our consultant Emily was fabulous every question answered within 24 hrs. This trip was through Travelmarvel I cannot recommend them enough we did not have to worry about a thing, picked up from the airport delivered to read more our hotel everything was explained daily and notice boards advised information if you didn't write it down or forgot. The standard of the accommodation on this trip was 5 star from the hotels to the ship La Marguerite. The staff at all the hotels and especially La Marguerite were amazing nothing was to hard and so friendly with lovely smiles to greet you any time of the day or night. The tour director Pani was so knowledgeable, as were all the local tour guides and what we liked was they shared their experiences of life in Cambodia and Vietnam. The excursions which most were included are well worth doing usually one excursion in the morning and one after lunch. I would recommend this trip to most however if you have trouble walking you may find some places difficult as there are lots of uneven paths and steps.
Fantastic river cruise 3 European Gems , WA, Australia, Jul 2016
Travelmarvel's river cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest was in our opinion pitched at the right level, the comfort, cleanliness, quality and variety of food and beverages were all excellent. The friendliness of all the staff from Captain to cleaner made us feel so welcome and at ease which undoubtedly added to our enjoyment of the holiday. Would not read more hesitate in using the Travelmarvel brand again should the opportunity arise.
Highlights of South America   3 Highlights of South America , NSW, Australia, Jul 2016
Travel marvel was the operator of the tour, a pretty good operator, the TD was excellent, his name was Felip. We booked the trip through Global Journeys as we had done with previous trips and found the service good. The weather on the trip was fantastic, we always travel spring or autumn. In July we found we did not need a lot of warm clothes. Aussies read more don't feel the cold like the locals, however we found the hotel rooms to hot. In saying that generally the accommodation was very good, a few problems but got sorted out, don't get a room near the lifts or top floor. There were 18 in our group & only 4 men. All got on well, although the walking pace was a bit slow. Not always a lot of time to shop. Chile and Argentina ticked the boxes but Rio, the Iguazu falls and Peru were great.
Wet weather and lack of dress requirements in our itinerary precluded some activity 2 Hamersley Splendour , NSW, Australia, Jun 2016
The group only consisted of eleven who mixed well. Pam & I (83 & 81) where the eldest. Did not consider the great distances between overnight stops and found that arriving late of a day did not allow much time for looking around, although there is not a lot to see in the Pilbura such as Tom Price village. Our disappointment was to travel 596 kms to read more see the Tom Price mine only having to leave without a visit due to heavy rain overnight to prevent flooding over the roads. Also had to leave Exmouth for the same reason. Would have liked to see the Iron Ore Trains unloading at Port Headland and the ore being loaded onto the ships instead of only observing the latter from a distance. We were not advised that it was necessary to walk in the small waves to board the glass bottom boats at Ningaloo Marine Park and to enter the water at Monkey Mia and we had no appropriate clothing. However despite the vast distances we did enjoy experiencing the size of this great country and catching up with old friends in Perth. At our age we would now prefer a holiday where we only unpack once without early morning starts.
Absolutely the best of Canada 2 Highlights of Eastern and Western Canada with Alaska Cruise , QLD, Australia, May 2016
Just home from another trip of a lifetime. This time we travelled across Canada on the Complete Canada tour with Travelmarvel. The tour guides and bus drivers were excellent and full of fun and knowledge. All the accommodation was of a very high standard with a number of 2 night stays which keeps the pace about right. The Rocky Mountaineer silver read more leaf service team made us feel like royalty and the food was delish! Everywhere we went the scenery was picture postcard perfect. The last 7 days cruising the inside passage was the perfect ending to a fantastic trip! Thanks Yvonne for the wonderful service answering all my questions and helping us select the perfect tour and thanks APT for an excellently organised trouble free tour!
Beautiful Canada and Alaska! 4 Rockies Marvel and Alaska Cruise , NSW, Australia, May 2016
We've just returned from a beautiful holiday in Canada and Alaska booked through Hannah at Global Journeys. We had a wonderful time experiencing all the splendour of the Rocky Mountains on The Rocky Mountaineer Train. Our cruise into Alaska on The Volendam was excellent, and our tour guides ensured we had a hassle free, informative holiday. We travelled read more with a lovely tour group. All of our accommodation was beautiful, but The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise was exceptional. We can thoroughly recommend this trip as a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you Hannah for organising it all for us.
Worry free holiday, everything went to plan 1 Grand Tasman , WA, Australia, May 2016
I would recommend this holiday, the tour company was excellent as was our booking agent at Global Journeys who went out of her way to accommodate my requirements.
A gem of a holiday 2 European Gems - Budapest to Amsterdam , QLD, Australia, Apr 2016
The whole trip from start to finish was just brilliant. Small enough for it to be very personal. I needed a gluten free diet and that was extremely well catered for by everyone on staff. The included tours were great and due to our trips timing we did the extra tour to the tulip gardens and that was excellent, also the Vienna concert was well worth read more it. As we were early in the season (April & May) it wasn't as busy as later on and even though the weather was cool at times it was great. Food and wine were exceptional, staff great and Marion was so good at keeping everyone on track.
12 Day East Coast Adventure 2 , Australia, Apr 2016
Very good experience. Booking through Emily at Global Journeys was a pleasure. The Tour Guide was very helpful & knowledgeable & kept us well informed about the countryside & attractions as we progressed through all the areas. The Coach Driver was also very helpful at all times & took wonderful care of our luggage & assisted the hotel porters to get read more it to our rooms in a timely manner.
Great Canadian getaway 5 Passage Through the Rockies and Alaska Cruise , QLD, Australia, Apr 2016
This was a fantastic vacation, it doesn't get the highest rating as it was very cold in Alaska and lot of activities still weren't running. We recommend Travelmarvel and global journeys as everything went of without a drama as was as beautiful as expected. We will use Michelle from Global Journeys and Travelmarvel again.
Good sightseeing tour of the east coast.   2 , Virginia, United States, Mar 2016
This was a tour suitable for over 55's but not disabled. It was a sightseeing holiday, not an exploring tour. It benifited from 3 days where we were free to do what we liked when we got to our daily itinerary destination. It lacked a visit to a sugar mill, though there were many we passed on the tour. 14 days touring would have been better than the read more 12 scheduled, but we enjoyed the trip.
