Outstanding tour   0 , United States, Oct 2013
Barring the inclement weather at Cradle Mountain National Park and at Great Lake, Tasmania, our tour was outstanding. The destinations, accommodations and meals were first class. Over and above these, we would like to commend three special people: our driver, David, who kept us safe and secure on the road: our incredible Tour Leader, Les, who, in his ...read more soft-spoken way and erudite manner, was among the very best by whom we have been guided; and a special series of kudos to Jody Roberts of Strahan Village, who successfully returned via Australian Post COD two of my most treasured (and probably, most worn) garments - they arrived to Wyckoff, NJ, USA within one week of being posted -- incredible & outstanding! Your personnel and your associates are efficient, affable and totally amazing. Kudos to you all!
Great cruise crew   2 , Australia, Sep 2013
What great crew and captain all friendly and even put on cake and song for Sue's Birthday!
Too much time wasted flying   1 , Australia, Aug 2013
A lot of time wasted in flying, especially the return flight back home. 5 stops is not what you need at the end of your holiday. One couple had only 3 stops. There was a lot of repetitiveness in market visits and dancing and at one stage the lunch meal and dinner meal were the same except at different locations. Hanoi was to far away from having a ...read more selection of eating places and the Laos resort was also too far out of the town plus needed a face lift. Hoi An and Siem Reap were great locations. Tu the tour manager was very good and handled the hogans on the river section very well. The local guides used provided excellent insight into the history etc of their countries. You need to be fairly fit as there is a lot of walking on uneven ground and variable heights of steps. The breaks at Hoi An and Siem Reap were required but sitting around waiting to catch flights was boring. Your assistance was much appreciated, responses to queries were both accurate and timely. The only shortfall was when you were on leave the office failed to send out our backpacks which we discovered from the other tourists to be a great acquisition.
A very tight schedule   1 , Australia, Aug 2013
A very tight schedule due to distances to be covered each day and early dusk. As a result we felt that we were just passing through and missing 'the feeling' of the various stop offs or no stop offs. No criticism and a difficult one due to the distances between accommodation.
We had a wonderful time   1 , Australia, Jul 2013
We had a wonderful time on our trip through Vietnam and Cambodia. Everything was so well organised, we didn't have to worry about a thing. We highly recommend Global Journeys who did a fantastic job, and APT tours, who were first class.
Travelmarvel were a delight to travel with   0 , Australia, Jun 2013
Travelmarvel were a delight to travel with. Would use them again.
Travelmarvel treated us better than we were expecting   0 , Australia, Apr 2013
The staff and tour guide were excellent from start to finish. They treated us better than we were expecting. Frances did very well trying to get us on this tour and we thank her.
Trip was excellent, although we went at the wrong time   0 , Australia, Mar 2013
I believe that when the wild flowers are out the place is amazing. Both the tour guide and the driver were great. All our hotels were mostly comfortable. The only two complaints are when in Monkey Mia one of our meals was not up to standard. We were promised a delicious seafood platter, but what we got was not that great. The other was the so called ...read more 'sunset cruise' we were taken out on a catamaran which had a broken sail, (it was away being repaired) so the motors were used and then we were just drifting for half a hour. We just sat there waiting for the sunset. When the sun did start to set the motors were powered and we were taken back to shore. We saw some wonderful places in these 5 days. I highly recommend this tour to anyone, except it should be done at the right time of the year.
Our tour manager made the whole experience for our group!   0 , Australia, Feb 2013
We couldn't have been happier that we chose Global Journeys, right from the first enquiry the team showed perfection, nothing was too much trouble. Comparing it to other companies our money for value you were outstanding. The whole trip was first class. Our tour manager, Son, was SO GOOD, he went out of his way for many. Inspired me to travel more through Australia   2 , United Kingdom, Dec 2012
The whole experience was very positive and I would definitely book through Global Journeys again. I was booking from the UK over the internet and found the personal approach used by Global Journeys really easy to deal with. Having the same individual (Kirby) at the other end of the emails allowed me to plan and build up a good level of confidence in ...read more your company and the tour operator. I feel I got great value for money as well. Travelmarvel and APT put on an excellent tour. The staff (driver and tour manager) were great and did all they could to make ure I had the best possible trip. The hotels were all good and some were tremendous - especially Daydream Island. The tour has inspired me to hopefully travel more through Australia - it has given me an insight into Australian life - its culture (old and now) - and I have visited some beautiful places. Really enjoyed it - thanks.
Generally well organised and enjoyable   0 , Australia, Nov 2012
Generally well organised and enjoyable. Hotel in Hobart was rather disappointing as detailed on our TravelMarvel feedback form. As with previous tours, we were often left feeling that we could have had longer at some places, but tours are only meant to give a taste of what the area has to offer, so in that regard, it fulfilled its objectives.
Absolutely enjoyed every minute   0 , Australia, Oct 2012
Absolutely enjoyed every minute. I was worried that my husband wouldn't enjoy it, as this was our first coach tour. We've done day tours, but never over-nighters. My husbands comment the second day 'love it, love it' & he doesnt talk like that. Haha. Everything was amazing. The best was probably the guide & driver - they made everyone feel like family. ...read more The information about the places we visited was exactly what we wanted to know. The stops for morning tea, lunch, toilet breaks were timed perfectly. The accommodation was 'back to basics' clean, comfortable, warm. Food was amazing - 5 star quality. We'll definitely do it again.
A great trip that exceeded expectations   1 , Australia, Sep 2012
A great trip that exceeded expectations. There was a good variety of food on the river cruise, always something different. The tour guide was professional and friendly and always keen to get feedback about day tours.
By far the best tour that I have ever experienced   1 , Hong Kong, Oct 2011
We had a wonderful time touring Tasmania. First of all, Relaxing Journeys (now Global Journeys) did an excellent job in organzing our tour. The Tour Manager is fantastic who guided us all through the journey with excellent commentaries. During the whole journey, he did not hesitate to introduce Tasmania to us through his own experience as a true Tasmanian. ...read more The driver is also excellent. Not only is he a safe driver, he manoeuvred his vehicle in a very professional manner and he looked after the elderlys very well. Have to mention also that they both have a sense of humour, and the duo made our journey a very pleasant and memorable one. Needless to say, we were also blessed with very fine weather all the way, and I have met some very nice people from all over the world. All in all, the tour is excellent, and by far the best that I have ever experienced. I will definitely recommend it to my friends and people in Hong Kong.
We have no hesitation to travel with APT again   1 , Australia, Mar 2011
Tour was well organised. Meet at airport most appreciated even though we arrived a few days earlier than most. Bus driver excellent and had amazing knowledge of Tasmania, also tour leader, both of whom had a good rapport and humour. Most hotels/motels were great, BUT after a long day touring the buffet style meals were more appreciated over the set ...read more menu table service type - reason: after a long day, most people wanted to just eat and go back to their rooms, instead of waiting until after 8 pm for their main meal and even later for the dessert & coffee. This was especially evident in Hobart (Mercure Hadleys). This hotel, while being heritage listed and I guess very charming to some, we felt that the rooms were old fashioned and pokey - ours had 2 small windows that looked out only to a full height brick wall. Unfortunately the weather caused some change of plans but the tour leader made the best of that. Overall we thought that we got excellent value for money and would have no hesitation to travel with APT again.
Loved the whole experience   0 , Australia, Mar 2011
The tour was really wonderful and we had the good fortune to have perfect weather. Got wonderful pictures of Cradle Mountain. My sister and I even went up on the cable car to the top of The Nut. Very daring for us. The Gorden River cruise was magic. Again beautiful weather. The wilderness tour and visit to Sarah Island was wonderful. The accommodation was first class we even got a spa bath in one of our rooms! Got to love that. The food was the only bit I could find place for improvement. The third night I got very dried overcooked roast beef served to me and had to have it replaced. It also took very long to be served. But we had wonderful company and it didn't spoil the evening. It also took very long on the last night in Launceston to be served. All in all, we loved the whole experience and wished we had taken the longer tour to see more of the east coast. My sister has gone back to Canada now with lots of good memories to share with her family. Thanks Craig for your patience in organizing it for us.
Captain and coach driver complimented each other   0 , Australia, Mar 2011
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and the coach captain and coach driver complimented each other with their knowledge and skill. Everything was top quality   0 , Australia, Feb 2011
Trish and I had a fantastic time on the coach tour in Tassie. Everything was top quality, hotels food & tour hostess and coach driver. We will definitely travel this way again and plan to do the east coast of Tassie next February. Thanks again for all your help in making this a great experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Tasmania!   0 , United States, Feb 2011
We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Tasmania! And we want to thank you for your advice and for arranging the details! You even arranged good weather for this trip!! The journey was absolutely wonderful! The tours included, choice of hotels, meals and the coach were all very organized.
