We have done a fair bit of travelling over the past 15 years, mostly overseas, and have just completed one of the best tours ever through WA & NT with Travelmarvel. Our coach was comfortable, roomy, had large viewing windows, free wireless connection, charging points for devices and a spotlessly kept toilet on board. In the questionnaire provided read more by our Tour Director I ran out of superlatives to describe Sandy Moore, Tour Director and Andrew Greigs our driver and the wonderful service and commentaries that they provided throughout the trip. Their professionalism, happy natures, and geographical & cultural knowledge of the areas really enhanced the pleasure of our trip.
Meals were excellent and accommodation very good on the whole and the best which was on offer in the remote areas visited. Our travel companions were great, easy to get along with and we all bonded very quickly. Thank you, Yvonne at Global Journeys for your always efficient service and attention to detail. This was our second trip with Travelmarvel and we booked with Global Journeys each time. We have no hesitation in recommending both Global Journeys and Travelmarvel to anyone looking to travel.

Enchanting Rockies and Alaska Cruise

Had the most enjoyable trip. I have only one complaint and that is our guide for the coach tour should also be our guide on the ship tour. We would love to have the same guide for the whole trip. Our guide Kit Cross is the most phenomenal woman I have ever met. She is so knowledgeable and made everywhere we visited so interesting. We also had a marvellous read more bus driver. Felt very safe where ever we went. He is also a lovely gentleman. I would travel anywhere with Kit as our tour director and Derek our coach driver. Probably Air Canada would not have been the best airline I have travelled on but for the price we paid it was OK.
I would also thank Yvonne from Global Journeys for all her help with my bookings. She is also a lovely person to deal with. There were a few extra excursions ( flyover the Rockies in helicopter) we missed out on because of the weather but having fresh snow fall made up for any disappointment. Also our fellow passengers were a wonderful and friendly group. Our cruise was also fantastic. Thank you.

Wonderful informative tour of Tasmania 2

The travel experience from the booking through to the return home exceeded all our expectations. Tasmania is a State of contrast from the magnificent World Heritage areas of the Gordon River and Cradle Mountain Reserves to the historical towns and venues. We learnt more about Tasmania in 9 days than we have in 60 years while enjoying the excellent accommodation read more and new friends. (Ed: Review based on slightly different itinerary. I am writing this to let you all know how much, I appreciate the outstanding customer service that everyone provided. From Madeline Lewis at Global Journeys to the staff on Travelmarvel Sapphire, Your staff were very attentive and helpful. The employees I interacted with especially Cruise Director Sue and Hotel Manager Marita, Bar attendants Liviu and read more Petar and waitress Katarina were very knowledgeable about the cruise. They genuinely took a interest in helping me get the most I could from the cruise. They took the time to talk to you so you understood what was going on and they all made you feel apart of the Travelmarvel Family. Which I will hold close to my heart for a very long time.
Because of their efforts, I could find exactly what I needed and I was very satisfied with the cruise and Travelmarvel. I will continue to visit Travelmarvel and Global Journeys. What a great way to experience Europe - a leisurely sail down the Danube and Main Rivers. The scenery was spectacular, with history around every bend. Travelmarvel was exceptional. Our tour guide Roland made the trip. Nothing was too much for him and his sense of humour was spot on. All staff were friendly and professional. Although this was the read more first trip of the season, everything was perfect. Oh the food....so many choices and of such a high standard. The menu had many options for those like me who have allergies. Thank you to everyone for an absolutely fabulous cruise.
Global Journeys organised our European Gems River Cruise (Amsterdam to Budapest) earlier this year. In terms of Global Journeys, Yvonne was very knowledgeable and helpful - always following up on specific questions that we had. In terms of TravelMarvel - we thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the cruise including the ship, the itinerary, the tour director read more (Roland was amazing), the individual tour guides (all very knowledgeable about their respective regions) and the cruise-boat staff. The catering staff need to be called out for special commendation - they quickly came to understand the dietary requirements / constraints of all of the passengers and always accommodated these needs accordingly with a nourishing selection of meals.
We made lots of new friends on the cruise and I think our wife summed up our sentiments best of all when we got to the end of the cruise by saying 'I could just turn around and do the return journey' from Budapest back to Amsterdam.

Great tour guides and tour director. Fantastic booking experience with Global Journeys. February was a perfect time to visit Vietnam and Cambodia. The weather was hot but not unbearable and no rain. Travel Marvel were also wonderful, we have travelled with them before, and will travel with them whenever possible. The accommodation and service on the read more ship were faultless. The food served was the cuisine of the two countries we visited. Preparation and service was outstanding.

Driver Chris & tour guide Simon did a great job and worked hard. We did find 47 passengers confined in one coach a bit too many. Mixing with people was challenging, probably made a bit more difficult by many no bothering to wear their name badges. Max. 25 passengers is probably a better mix for a long coach journey. We set out to see NZ from top to read more bottom and we achieved that, APT and staff did a great job, thank you.

We enjoyed top notch service from Travelmarvel. The guide and driver were both friendly and accomodating, and we were well taken care of on our journey. Our only complaints were the pace of the tour and one of the accomodations. The resort on Daydream Island has seen better days and our room was not up to the quality we expected. We also felt that adding read more one or two extra nights to the tour would make it nearly perfect. The second half in particular was quite a lot of driving. We would have enjoyed an extra night on the Gold Coast and another stop north of Sydney. That said, we did have a wonderful time and had a great group of people on the bus. We definitely recommend this tour and Global Journeys, which provided excellent service from start to finish.
We can't speak highly enough of the service and program for our Wonders of Vietnam and Cambodia holiday. I might just add that we nearly had a disaster before we even left due to us miss-reading the departure time and date. The ticket said Saturday 0.35 and for some reason we saw this as being late on the Saturday night not the Friday night. Luckily read more we worked this out on Friday afternoon with enough time to get ourselves properly organised. This was no fault of Travel Marvel but perhaps on future occasions you could point out this to Canberra departures as staff at the airport said this wasn't the first time it had happened. I can tell you that as we sat in our seats on the Singapore Airlines flight taking off, we heaved a big sigh of relief. That said, the rest of the trip went smoothly and we had a great time.
I can't give enough praise to our tour guide Han, who was brilliant. He was polite, always had a smile on his face and frequently went out of his way to help fellow travellers who were not as mobile as some of us. His knowledge and advice throughout was faultless. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Much the same can be said of the individual local guides. Their knowledge went a big way to making each trip rewarding and they even showed expertise in taking photographs for individuals. As a photographer myself I also appreciated our guide at Siem Reap pointing out several vantage points, which I might not have seen, to get the best shots.
Our accommodation and travel arrangements throughout were excellent. Our trips on Ha Long Bay and the Mekong were especially exciting and the food and service on both were top class as our scales showed on return to Canberra. Our thanks to you Yvonne at Global Journeys and the rest of the Travel Marvel crew. I can tell you that we will certainly, and have already, recommended your organisation to friends and family and will continue to do so. Thanks again.

Fabulous trip up the Mekong from Saigon to Siem Reap 6
Essential Vietnam and Cambodia

Angkor Wat was the highlight of the trip. Amazing place and loved Siem Reap and Phonm Pehn. Could have spent an extra day at Siem Reap. Tour guides were all great, their personal stories made the trip. Food and wine was wonderful as was the service. Would recommend the trip to my friends and family.
We had another wonderful experience with Georgie from Global Journeys and we thoroughly enjoyed the 15 day New Zealand Getaway with Travelmarvel. Our tour director Laurel was very professional and provided us with all her knowledge with much humour and wit. Our coach driver Michael was an excellent driver and also shared many funny stories. We highly read more recommend Global Journeys and Travelmarvel.
We had rain and cloudy weather during most of the tour except for some sunshine in Hobart and at Port Arthur which kept the temperature no more than 25 degrees. The scenery was just beautiful, so many trees! The accommodation was very good with the RACV Hobart Apartment Hotel the best - the helpful staff, food and rooms. We had a small group of just read more 19 and we all seemed to get on very well. The driver Barry and Tour Leader Wally had very good knowledge on all aspects of the tour. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They were always pleasant and helpful. I would definitely do another tour with Travel Marvel- after a bit of a rest of course!

One of the best experiences we have ever had. It was the perfect white Christmas, so much breathtaking scenery around the Canadian rockies. Our tour guide Kit was really informative and went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met, and Tim was an excellent driver. The hotels were comfortable and well located, it was easy to get around when we read more had free time to ourselves. It's our second time booking with Global Journeys, the process is easy and well taken care of, would recommend.

European Gems - Prague to Paris

I am a solo senior traveller & this was my first trip to Europe. Global Journeys set the high standard with the booking being made so easy, Hannah was so helpful. Travelmarvel Jewel was also of a high standard, all of the staff were so helpful, cheerful & always very professional (it was the little things they did that meant so much) The food was read more a culinary delight every meal, so much variety, very exciting meals of the region that we were passing through. I found the ships cleanliness was excellent throughout, along with the coaches we used on our city tours. The novelty towel creations in our cabins were a delight!
Our Cruise Director was fantastic, very easy to listen to at his 'coming events' talks, & his cruising commentary along the way. He was always so cheerful and made himself available onboard & on our land tours to anyone who needed his help or had a question to ask. I did all the land excursions I could and found the local tour guides were very passionate about their towns & it showed as they guided us around professionally, giving us commentary along the way. The age of the passengers on this cruise were mainly of senior years but everyone mixed in well together.
Travelmarvel Jewel did an excellent job of decorating the ship for Christmas & New Year, & made it a great celebration for us! River cruising was excellent & interesting (even when Mother Nature tried to upset things - low water level in canal & snow). Travelmarvel had everything under control at all times! The hotels used in our extensions (Prague & Paris) were also of a high standard. The trip to me was very full on, and we were always on the go, but a real pleasure & so many wonderful sights and attractions to see. (I wasn't going to miss out on anything). I would totally recommend Global Journeys and Travelmarvel for a real worry free holiday, where everything is taken care of for you. Thank you!

The highlight was going to Port Arthur and the scenery around this site. We travelled with a mainly older group and most were friendly and easy to travel with. The tour guide and two bus drivers were knowledgeable and friendly towards the group.
From the beginning to the end I didn't have to worry about anything. Global Journeys did a wonderful job looking after my booking. My holiday was unforgettable, accommodation, meals and places that we visited were all excellent. Our tour staff had great knowledge of the areas we visited and they looked after us all. I can't say enough. I had a great read more time. A big thank you to Global Journeys and Travelmarvel.

We found October was a lovely time to go many shops with there Xmas decorations and markets looked beautiful. We went on travelmarvel diamond and it was fantastic. Everything went smooth thanks to Hannah at Global Journeys from the moment we boarded the ship. Absolutely beautiful to travel on the river and see the beautiful towns with so much history. read more Everyday was fantastic with new friends we meet on board. Thanks Hannah for all your help you excelled our expectations. Look forward to another cruise with the help of Hannah.
My tour from Cairns to Sydney was fantastic from start to finish. I was travelling alone from the UK and felt looked after the whole time. I had some amazing experiences and saw some great places - snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef, palm trees at mission beach, kangaroos on daydream island, sunset on Fraser Island. Our guide and driver, Judy and read more Darryl, were fantastic, the hotels were great, food was good, weather in October fabulous. We had a small group of 20, a mix of nationalities and ages from 30s to 70s and all got on well. Overall, I loved it and would highly recommend both Global Journeys and Travelmarvel.
We think the length of the trip could be extended - river cruising for 20 days would allow an extra day in both Budapest and Amsterdam as well as a visit to Cologne, together with additional time in some of the cities along the river. We felt it was all a bit rushed in some places.
