Very good tour for those who like to see maximum sights 0 , VIC, Australia, Jun 2015
The coach tour was very good and the Tour Director was excellent providing historic information, local knowledge and excellent organisation skills. The coach was comfortable and the driver demonstrated magnificent driver skills especially on the narrow winding roads. The accommodation and provided meals were good, providing value for money. All in all ...read more a very good tour for those who like to see maximum sights and have everything organised for them.
Overall, we really enjoyed the experience 1 , Australia, Sep 2014
Overall, we really enjoyed the experience. The disappointments were that we did not have enough time to stop longer at the Ring of Kerry. I was extremely disappointed that I had traveled so far to see it, and saw it mostly by coach taking photos from the coach! Way too many stops at souvenir shops! We would pass lovely little villages, only to stop ...read more at a designated souvenir shop, it made me somewhat suspicious of the motives behind the stops. Otherwise, the hotels were great except for the Wexford in Ireland. Trafalgar really need to look at getting a better hotel for their guests. The hotel at Wexford was barely 3 star! Our coach driver was friendly and fun. Our Tour Director was a bit of a serious character. He has been doing the job for a very long time and is extremely knowledgeable but he is a old fashioned with his taste in music on the coach. It became monotonous! He also tended to repeat himself too many times. I think that it would be nice for the tour director and bus driver to be able to join us for the included dinners. Most of us really did not like to see them sitting away from us, when they were free from their duties and able to eat. The planning behind the tour is exceptional. Georgie was just so helpful and professional. I would not hesitate to book through her again. Thank you for this opportunity.
Fast paced and full of highlights 0 , Australia, Aug 2014
Fast paced and full of highlights. Very good accommodation and food. Tour a director and Drivers were excellent as was the tour group.
Very impressed 0 , Australia, Aug 2014
We were both very impressed with our England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland 16 day trip. Thanks to Michelle for getting our travel pack to us prior to leaving and organising our night before and night after the trip. Very impressed with Anna our tour guide, will take another trip if she is the tour guide, looking to do another trip next year.
Recommend this trip and Global Journeys 0 , Australia, Jun 2014
Thoroughly enjoyable had a wonderful time. We would recommend this trip, and booking with Global Journeys.
Very enjoyable tour 0 , Australia, Apr 2014
We had a very enjoyable tour, made all the more enjoyable and memorable by our tour director Anna Forbes and our coach driver Jamie. This was my second coach tour with Trafalgar and I hope there will be others.
We had an excellent tour with Trafalgar 3 , Australia, Oct 2013
We had an excellent tour with Trafalgar on our panorama journey throughout the UK. As it was the end of the season, there were only 25 travellers, so we were able to spread comfortably throughout the bus and get to know other folks from different age groups and nationalities. The tour director, Daniel Wood, was just wonderful. He was full of tales and ...read more funny stories and kept us constantly amused. His knowledge of history was just amazing and inspired us all. The bus driver was very good also and always displayed courtesy and good manners to his passengers. We had a break about every 2 hours and it was very clearly advised what time we had and what time to be back at the bus. The accommodation on the whole was good, some hit and miss and the breakfasts were much the same everywhere. The extra outings were good too, although this does add to the cost but what is the point in going if you are going to do as much as possible. I think some of these outings could have been included in the overall price.
An excellent glimpse of what UK and Ireland has to offer 0 , AU, Aug 2013
The very nature of this type of tour means that you're 'on the go' all the time and there is a balance between trying to see and experience as much as possible without overdoing it. For me this tour hit the mark. Reasonably paced, for a coach tour, with a good mix of sights and experiences. There were certainly places where we would have liked to have ...read more had more time but the time allotted was usually 'adequate'. Tour leader (Anna) was excellent - friendly, helpful and a lot of fun. This was an excellent glimpse of what UK and Ireland had to offer and I would highly recommend this tour.
Tour was good, however very disappointing Tour Director 1 , Australia, Aug 2013
The service provided by Global Journeys was prompt and efficient - thank you Hannah. The tour was was good, however Trafalgar Tours really need to vet the people they choose as tour directors. I and most of the people on my tour were extremely disappointed with the manner of our tour director. Clare was very well informed and provided good explanations ...read more and information however was curt and impersonal and at times rude. She was impatient. She gave information overload about the day's events at times and then added to the confusion by providing the information and times for the following days. She only spoke to the group through her microphone and preferred to hide her face in her iPhone when we were getting on or off the coach. If we had issues we wanted to discuss she was defensive. I would not choose or recommend Trafalgar Tours again because of her, although we know from talking to another tour group with Trafalgar that they were thoroughly happy with their director Mike. Very disappointing Tour Director, and for some it spoiled their holiday.
Definitely value for money 0 , Australia, Aug 2012
All in all it was a fantastic trip with a great tour guide and driver. Based on where we went, where we stayed and what we did it was definitely value for money. The only down side was that we did not have enough time between arriving at our hotel and going to dinner. I wish we had some more personal time each day and not having to finish the night ...read more so early. There was a lot of touring which meant little exercise each day so I at least needed to be a bit more active. In addition I think that the bus seats needed to be a bit more comfortable based on the number of hours spent driving. I wouldn't mind spending a little bit more with a few less people if it meant a more comfortable ride. Having said all this I would still recommend the tour to anyone who asks.
Visits to Castles and Cathedrals almost daily was a bit much 0 , Australia, Jun 2012
The planned journey was very good having visited England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland in 16 days. However, visits to Castles and Cathedrals almost daily was a bit too much. Maybe more visits to Roman ruins or archaeology sites would be more interesting. The Coach driver was excellent and the Tour Guide was very good. I thought that having to purchase ...read more the 'optional tours' for the whole tour on the first day was not appropriate though. Passengers should be given the choice of these optional tours the day before the actual option date.
