Globus Grand Western Vacation Tour 0 , NSW, Australia, Aug 2022
This was a great tour. The scenery was spectacular and our Tour Director Sharon was fantastic. She kept us all informed of the history of the places we were going through, everything was well organised and she kept us entertained with all of her jokes! The accommodations were great and we had a great bunch of people on the tour. Really enjoyed this ...read more trip.
Beautiful scenes 0 , NSW, Australia, Jun 2022
June was a great time to visit as weather was pleasant with beautiful scenery with ice and snow melting. Trip was well organised from start to finish.
Canadian Rockies   1 , VIC, Australia, Aug 2019
This tour delivered what its brochure promised it would do. From the extraordinary Butchart Gardens in Victoria to scrambling over the Columbia Icefield and a breakfast on top of a mountain at Banff, it mixed sightseeing, optional excursions and spectacular scenery into a trip that I'll remember for some time. And, yes, there were bears (sometimes with ...read more cubs), elk and deer to be seen. Highlights are difficult to prioritise, but Maligne Lake is certainly one. The optionals offered were diverse and well organised. Accommodation was comfortable and the dinners provided were good. With the exception of Lake Louise, disappointments were few.

The tour director, Brad Noyes, was exceptional. His commentaries on Canada's history, the country's current issues and his love of the Rockies kept the group informed, but he added an extra that was also welcome. As we came into a town where we were to spend a night or two, he took the coach around the town, pointing out likely places of interest, eating places and even the ubiquitous Irish Pub. Those travelling from Australia in Canada's 'summer' should acquaint themselves with what the Canadians call 'layers'. The mornings in the Rockies can drop to close to 0C, the days to a top of 15C: 28C is described as 'hot'. Pack a jumper and other warm clothing before you go, especially for Maligne Lake. As for Global Journeys, and Jemma who organised the trip, thank you for the professional way you handled it all.
Picturesque Western Canada   0 , VIC, Australia, Jun 2019
Fantastic 12 day tour with Globus. Everything was well organised with fantastic sight seeing opportunities and amazing accommodation. While it was go go go most of the time we did have a few days to ourselves to do optional excursions. Included breakfast and the dinners were of really good quality.

I chose this tour for the photo opportunities with ...read more the beautiful Canadian Rockies and the wildlife and I wasn't disappointed. Great tour overall and I would recommend it to others.
Grand Western Canada Vacation 1 , QLD, Australia, May 2019
Our tour and coach driver were terrific in their knowledge with delightful personalities to match. We had no problems at anytime throughout the tour. Very highly recommended.

Only downside was that the last 2 days was a hurry to get back to Vancouver which we found to be more tiring and not enjoyable. Maybe it is different to go on the anti-clockwise ...read more direction tour.
Grand Western Canada Vacation May 2019 1 , NSW, Australia, May 2019
Spring was the perfect time to tour Western Canada. The weather was perfect, sunny blue skies all the way through the Rockies which was fantastic for seeing all the mountain peaks, lakes and waterfalls. As usual the Globus tour was well organised, great tour director and bus driver, exceptional accomodation and we felt that the optional tours were a ...read more fantastic addition and definitely economical.

We will be definitely using Global Journeys for our future travel plans and would thoroughly recommend to anyone planning to travel anywhere in Australia or all over the world.
Grand Western Canada Vacation 4 , New Zealand, Jul 2018
A well organised worry free holiday which included many coach stops and included excursions to enjoy the highlights of this very picturesque area. Good hotel accommodation, central and clean. Had a good age mix of travelers who got on well. Would definitely recommend Global Journeys and use them again.
Fantastic Western Canada   11 , VIC, Australia, Jul 2017
We had a fabulous time on our tour. We had a wonderful tour director (Vedrana Ascroft) and a highly competent driver, John. Although we were very busy on this tour there was still enough free time and having a number of 2 night stops was most welcome. This tour was highly organised and it all went very smoothly. The Canadian Rockies are magnificent ...read more and there were numerous photo opportunities. This tour was our first and 13 days was a good length of time. We had some delicious included meals and most of the accommodation was very good to excellent.

The Fairmont Hotel in Whistler was particularly good, as was the breakfast there. Our coach was a new one and very comfortable with lots of leg room and free wi fi on board. Highlights were the Butchart Gardens and the dinner there in the old family home and the Peak to peak gondola in Whistler. Traveling through the Columbia Icefields and a ride out onto the Athabasca Glacier was also very enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour.
Fantastic trip 6 , New Zealand, May 2017
This was an outstanding trip, the hotels were all excellent and in great locations. The courier Tarek, was outstanding, an extremely knowledgeable and helpful person. It was a very well run trip with a well thought out itinerary and I would love to travel Globus again. The trip gave us time to explore by ourselves and the excursions were all excellent, ...read more especially the Peak to Peak in Whistler. The included dinners and breakfasts were all of a high standard. The included excursions were also wonderful and our favourite was the breakfast at the top of Sulphur Mountain in Banff.
A wonderful tour to an amazing part of the world! 1 , VIC, Australia, Aug 2016
This was our first tour and we were rather unsure whether we’d enjoy a coach tour and thought it might be rather hectic and regimented. However, the pace was just right with plenty of time to do our own thing and no really early starts. We travelled with a friendly group, mostly of people who would have been fifty plus but with one or two younger ones ...read more and all energetic and interesting people. We didn’t want to drive around the Rockies as we both wanted a chance to relax and see everything and this tour worked well in that regard.

There were many highlights but the standout was Mt. Robson (where we had a lunch stop) and the section from Jasper to Banff which was just amazing. Another favourite of ours was Lake Louise, both the hotel (we only visited it and walked around the public areas) and the view of the lake between two mountains.
On the way back to Vancouver from Banff we covered a similar route to the Rocky Mountaineer (as well as the goods trains) and in fact I think we probably had better views as we were above the railway line for much of the time and were lucky enough to see a (very long) goods train going through the spiral tunnels.

The hotels were all of a good standard, we particularly enjoyed our stay at the Fairmont in Whistler, but those in Victoria, Jasper and Kelowna were also very comfortable. The included meals were of a very good standard and there were plenty of choices on the menus. All in all a wonderful well organised tour with a friendly and informative guide and a great driver.
Amazing adventures! 6 , VIC, Australia, May 2016
We would recommend this trip to others as we did have some great time and adventures throughout this trip. The views are amazing. The accommodation was very good, with the exception of Jasper. Despite the hot summer days, the hotel still turned their fire place, which made the internal temperature super hot. While we understood their intention of keeping ...read more the moisture for indoor swimming pool away, the hot temperature made us all comfortable to be in the dinning area for breakfast and waiting the bus in the lobby. The Fairmont Chateau Whistle is the best for the room and breakfast but we are glad that we did not stay at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. The place was too crowded and is only good for visiting/viewing Lake Louise. So Globus made a good decision by choosing the accommodation in Banff, which we enjoyed very much. We will definitely go with Globus again in our next trip.
