We thoroughly enjoyed this 9 day Globus tour which covered Washington DC and beautiful Virginia, West Virginia and Pennsylvania, focusing on the history of the American Revolution and the Civil War. Our tour group of 30 was friendly and cooperative, with good interaction between the American majority and and the Aussie and Kiwi minority. A highlight for us was a visit to Williamsburg (and a private visit we had there to William & Mary College following up on some family history research). The tour was quite fast paced and we covered a lot of ground in 9 days, but it was not overly demanding. We have no complaints or criticisms of the tour or Globus at all. Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed the 9 day tour - being history buffs we loved all the historical places eg Jamestown, Yorktown, Williamsburg and Gettysburg. It was great to tour a couple of the battlefields. It would have been nice to have had a bit longer in a few places but on a 9 day tour unfortunately we had to keep moving! Shenandoah National Park was fantastic - such beautiful views. The weather was very hot - it got a bit much towards the end of the tour when it got up to 37 degrees! Overall it was a fantastic experience and we would definitely travel with Globus again. I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Tour guide Barbara always went above and beyond. Coach, driver and accommodation were all top notch. Some great photographic opportunities especially in Shenandoah National Park. The tour was well paced and a great insight into the 400 years that make up the country we now know as the United States. Certainly a fast-paced tour, but wonderful to see and do so much. A very competent and fun tour director! It was a great holiday and we were lucky to experience so much.

We found the tour to be very well organised and very informative. The bus driver and the tour manager were both very helpful and the whole tour ran like clockwork. The additional tour guides who were used at specific destinations also really knew their stuff so we did not miss out on anything of significance in any of the places we visited. Instructions ...read more given were very clear and after the initial cost of the tour there was very little need to spend any additional money as almost everything was prepaid. Overall a very enjoyable experience and we would not hesitate to do another Globus bus tour.
