Excellent way to see California 0 , QLD, Australia, May 2023
Had an amazing trip touring California. It was very full on but we saw and did so much. We could never have organized this on our own. Loved everywhere that we visited but highlights were Yosemite and the Hearst Castle. Also, lucky enough to see a bear, whale and dolphins. Accommodations were excellent at all stops as were breakfasts and tour dinners. ...read more Coach was very comfortable.

Our guide, Craig was bursting with information and knew so much about California past and present. No question was left unanswered. He was so likeable and had a great sense of humour. Loved his choices of music too. Markus, the driver was also very lovely and our safety was his priority at all times. They would detour to make sure we didn't miss anything. No complaints from us and would definitely recommend.
California Classics.   2 , ACT, Australia, Aug 2019
An enjoyable 10 day holiday, some highlights were Yosemite National Park, Canary Row, Aquarium, Alcatraz and San Francisco. Friendly relaxed fellow passengers, excellent tour guide and driver. Professionally run and accommodation was generally very good.
California Classics 1 , VIC, Australia, Aug 2016
After finishing our Pacific Coast Adventure with Globus we then joined the California Classics tour. As with the first tour, most hotels were very good. Lake Tahoe was an eye opener - it was like a big city - not what I was expecting. The drive from Lake Tahoe to Yosemite was great. Again often got in late and out early the next morning, no having ...read more any time to enjoy the facilities that the hotels had on offer. Carmel and Solvang lovely spots. The road does not follow the coast as you would expect and we always ended up on the wrong side of the bus to get the good views. Unfortunately we did not get to Hearst Castle as it was closed due to the recent fires giving off a lot of smoke. Our visit to the Getty Museum was good - need a couple of days to see everything. LA is the "pits" far to many people and the traffic!! Plus we were at LA airport when it was evacuated - flight ended up being cancelled, had to find additional accommodation very late at night and had to rebook our flight for the following day - glad to be back home. (GJ: Ahhh the joys of travel :)
Good overall view of California 2 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2015
Well paced tour through California. Guide was great, hotels were fine and the tour visits were interesting. Good overall view of California.
Great way to see the best of California 1 , NSW , Australia, Jul 2015
We had a wonderful tour guide, Allan, who really made the trip. The itinerary and highlights were very interesting and the coastal drive was beautiful. We even saw a bear at Yosemite. I would highly recommend this trip for those who want a taste of what California has to offer.
Yosemite View Lodge was average 2 , Australia, Aug 2014
Yosemite View Lodge was average & outside the Park which restricted free time to the room. Hotels selected should provide free internet these days. We stayed at over 45 other hotels (Average/Medium Grade) on our 10 week USA holiday and all but 1 provided free internet access. Sightseeing at Lake Tahoe (and hotel location) was poorly selected. Tahoe ...read more City offers more opportunities.
Overall it was excellent 1 , Australia, May 2014
Our first trip with Globus and overall it was excellent. Highlights were Yosemite National Park, the views while driving south from Monterey along the coastal highway, the Mission at Santa Barbara, the Monterey Aquarium and the train trip from LA to San Diego. Jose Lemus our tour guide did a really excellent job balancing the need to stay on schedule ...read more but allowing sufficient time at each stop to take it all in. In the main the hotels were very good, particularly in San Francisco, San Diego and Pismo Beach. I am not a fan of the downtown LA hotel - while the facilities are very good, it does not have complimentary wifi and there is absolutely nothing to do in the neighbourhood if you are there on a weekend as we were and all the nearby eating places were closed. Our Global Journeys consultant Georgie provided excellent service and was very prompt in answering emails.
