What can I say, this trip was over my expectations. I got to see all those cities that I had previously only heard of. Beautiful cities, it was sometimes crowded, so extra care was needed when crossing the street - cars will race with you even you are on the pedestrian crossing line! There were only 17 in the group, everyone get along very well, it was just an amazing trip. Beautiful Italy!

We had a ball during the trip, visiting most beautiful parts of Italy. Booking with Global Journeys is easy & well managed by account manager.

Very enjoyable trip. Accommodation was clean & comfortable with free wifi in each hotel and on the coach. Giuseppe was very knowledgeable and passionate about his country and looked after our every need.

Overall we had a great time. The Tour Director was outstanding and made sure everything ran smoothly and was very attentive to everyone's needs. The itinerary was great - we saw Italy just about from top to bottom and it was very comprehensive. The location of the accommodation left a bit to be desired. In particular the hotel in Venice was literally, and I mean literally, in the middle of corn fields with nothing within walking distance except a supermarket. Was also on a major highway with a constant stream of semi trailers. Only other critcism would be that their 'optional dinners' were sometimes a little overpriced for what you got. In particular, the Venice dinner. At over $100 per head you'd expect something pretty good. Having said that, the Pescatori Island, Lugano and Sorrento dinners/lunches were outstanding. The service pre-tour from Global Journeys was first rate. Very efficient and helpful.

Tour Director and bus driver were excellent, accommodation for the most part was very good, content of the tour was good but felt that at times extra excursions should have been included in the total cost of the tour because there was no option but to do the excursion.

I found from the first inquiry, to the easy booking process, the planning and then the trip itself, fantastic. Okay, the sights we saw, the places we visited, the food we ate and the wine we drank - top notch. If we had to mention any negative issues - the accommodation was great, and although previous reviews mentioned they were too far from town, we found that by the end of the days travelling and sightseeing, location was great. The hotels, some were old and needed upgrading, particular the bathrooms. Internet/wi-fi not easily accessible enough. Some of the hotels used were breathtakingly beautiful.

So after many hours spent investigating and general browsing on many sites with many enquiries of various tours I was becoming unsure and disorientated? thinking maybe I should just do my own thing again? Fortunately, I then stumbled across Global Journeys! I can honestly say I was a little skeptical at first due to the website layout being user friendly, being able to compare so many variations of tours and tour companies alike on a 'single website' and the competitive pricing offered! Global Journeys made everything so 'easy'! What's the catch I thought? there were none!

All enquiries and transactions were dealt with and answered accordingly with the latest up to date information being offered for the particular requests I had submitted. This in turn helped me immensely choosing the right tour for me. Enter Cosmos tours 'Italy's Best'!!! The tour covered all areas I have been itching to visit and they (Cosmos) sure have done a great job in doing so. Everything from transfers to options, schedules were spot on! Our tour director 'Ursula' was just so fantastic, nothing was ever a problem whilst always being a fun, positive (also serious when required)and an extremely informative person on 'Italian' facts, figures, customs to name a few... (yes, its her job, however she did it well with so much passion for 'her' country making the whole experience so much more interesting like you weren't just 'visiting' Italy, you were living' it!!!)

Apart from the great cultural experience, I have come away from this tour feeling like I have had a well deserved break which was well overdue! Due to Cosmos taking care of all the essentials required when travelling, all that was required of me was to have a great time! Which I did! I have been so impressed with Global Journeys, I have passed on my high recommendations to several people I know who are in the process of looking at tours in the coming months (believe me, I don't recommend easily) Again thank you! The Tour Director Mattia and Bus Driver Domenico were brilliant. The tour itself was good, the only frustrating and niggly thing about it was there so many optional parts to pay along the way and one or two dodgy hotels we stayed. We had incredible customer service from Frances Carr, right from the beginning, dealing with our queries, through to booking and finalisation. Nothing was too hard. He made our trip very enjoyable. The coach was spacious, modern and comfortable. And the coach driver was friendly. The pace of the tour was moderate, with a good mix of local tours and free time to explore on our own. Hotel experiences varied greatly. From very old, outdated and small, some were average and one was very luxurious. Though all were clean with a hot shower and comfy bed. That's all that matters. Over all, we had a great experience and would highly recommend this Cosmos tour and the incredible services of Frances Carr made it so very easy to organise the trip. Thanks again Frances.

Loved our European magic tour which we picked up in Paris and ended in Rome. It was really well organised, and we had a wonderful director 'Patricia' and driver Micheale. The included dinner in Lucerne was of extremely poor quality, and the optional dinner in Venice was also very poor. I have been to Italy many times before but this was a first for both my wife and I with regard to a fully organised and guided tour of Italy. We didn't really know what to expect as we had read some reviews of this tour and some of the comments were not that complimentary and seemed that some of the comments were in my view overly picky (eg, people ...read more were critical of the breakfasts each morning [continental] or that the hotels were not all that good etc).

For Candice and I we were not only pleasantly surprised about the quality of the hotels (cleanliness etc) but just how well run the whole tour was. We were informed at every hotel about the schedule for the day/night as well as the schedule for the following day. The tour guide we had (Armando) was exceptional. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and approachable. It helped that I also spoke Italian so was able to converse with him about other sites to see and areas to of interest. Our driver Pasquale Miranda was also an absolute hoot. He didn't realise that I was Italian at first but when he realised I was we got on like a house on fire. He was courteous, friendly and always made an effort to come and speak to me and my wife each day. We got on so well with both the driver and tour guide, that we have exchanged email and Facebook addresses.

The sites of Italy speak for themselves but what made our tour so memorable was the people we met and friends we made on the tour, and just how much the tour guide and driver were there to help us. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is considering a fully organised tour of Italy. I would say for anyone who has read negative comments about this tour and for anyone reading my comments I would say this to you, take the hotels, breakfasts etc for what it is. You are in Italy to see the sights and splendor and to experience Italy.

I would recommend this tour to my friends and family without question. Both Candice and I are working on our next trip to Italy and are aiming at doing the Cosmos tour of Sicily as this is something truly spectacular and wondrous to see (from my previous visit there). But Cosmos totally changed our perception and it was a magical trip for both of us and definitely worth every of our penny! We would say it was perfect throughout from the beginning to the end. The tour director was very friendly, funny, helpful, responsible and very attentive as well. The whole trip was very well organized down to nuts & bolts and most importantly the pace was really nice. There were no complaints at all. One thing we have to mention about the tour director is that he was swift - if you needed anything at all, straight away he'd arrange/settle it on the spot. In addition to that being local he new everything about Italy, and he had us all cruising through the trip without a bump. Definitely love it and made lots of friends through the trip. We are now planning for another tour to Europe again hopefully by next year.

The tour was excellent, the driver & guide were the best, destinations and tours were great. The only down part of the trip is the poor quality of hotels & supplied meals. We would have preferred to have paid more money and stayed in better hotels closer to town in the places we visited. I was really happy with Jodie, my tour consultant and her communication with me to let me know pricing and availability. The starting hotel for my tour, Pineta Palace, I found the staff to be lacking in good customer service, and the walls were very thin. We were given alot of spare time in between things - sometimes, a little too much spare time to fill. Apologies for the negative comments. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this tour! I would definitely do another Cosmos tour, or any tour I guess which suited my travel requirement destinations. Our bus driver, Gaetano, was wonderful, funny, and an expert driver. Our tour guide, Ciro, was absolutely, one hundred percent LOVELY, spectacular, organised, friendly, funny, efficient, and patient. Any tour that has him as their tour guide is lucky! Thoroughly enjoyed this 13 day tour of Italy. I was on my own, but had made friends by the end.
