We loved all of it. A highlight was the Tunnel Creek walk, with the assistance of two indigenous guides. They did a great job. The trip went without a hitch, except for one flat tyre. Not bad for 20 of us.
This was our 2nd APT tour having already done Vietnam and Cambodia. The tour was very well organised and nothing was too much trouble for our tour director Judy. The accommodation was of a very good standard and we certainly saw many beautiful places. The freedom of choice experiences were also very good. Still can't believe that I went zip-lining read more in Whistler. We also enjoyed the Rocky Mountaineer. The food was excellent but unfortunately the smoke from the forest fires detracted from some of the views of the Rockies.
It was a pretty "full on"" tour with a couple of pretty long days on the coach. Think that we really find the river cruising more relaxing but we wouldn't have been able to see and do all we did without this. Georgie form Global Journeys was very helpful with any booking queries we had along the way. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend both APT and Global Journeys.

It was an exceptionally well organised trip, greatly assisted by our wonderful driver/guide, Colman. The itinerary covered all the places of interest we wished to see and while very full, often with quite long days of driving, it was always fascinating and absorbing. The accommodation was generally superb, the food excellent.

From the ease of booking through Global Journeys until our very last day in Cambodia our trip was handled professionally. Accommodation was superb wherever we were - on land, bay or river. Our tour guides were well educated in the local areas and very informative.
Top marks. Fantastic trip. Everything included, drinks, transfers and port excursions made it a very relaxed and easy. No hassles - great staff and shipmates. Definitely a great holiday!

Our trip was really fun! Shane, the tour guide, provided outstanding commentary throughout the journey, which really added to our enjoyment and knowledge. The food at every meal was really good and Tom's dietary restrictions required were provided for, exactly as we had requested. I would have liked one more day on the tour, as it was quite a bit read more of driving on a couple of days. Our fellow travelers were all delightful and we really had a good time together. We'll definitely consider using APT again. Thanks for a great holiday.
Our Kimberley tour was exceptional. The area is stunning with fabulous rivers, waterfalls, scenery and weather. The accommodation and tour arrangements generally were great, meals very good although we put on a bit of weight. Walking in to some of the brilliant spots was a bit taxing but most definitely worthwhile to see such marvellous sites. We have read more traveled to places around the world, but would recommend the Kimberley trip to anyone who wishes to see some of the most magnificent places in the world. Global Journeys provided us with a great platform to do this trip. Thanks Madeline!
Overall a wonderful holiday. Amazing organisation by the Cruise Director and crew aboard - despite having to change ships half way through due to water levels on Danube River. Age level of guests was "up there", so probably not for those under 60. Would recommend this cruise to others. Our Global Journeys agent was very helpful and organised.
Some highlights for me were the helicopter flight over the Bungle Bungles, the Willie Creek pearl farm, also the Horizontal Falls day,none of which were included in the tour price. Also Zebedee Springs, the boab trees. The green oasis at Drysdale Station. El Questro Resort was lovely, The APT lodges were also very good, but I felt that maybe some of read more the menu's were a little ambitious.
Our driver gave us excellent attention including a few special treats. I felt it was a very long day for the driver, such rough roads, loading luggage, doing the lunches, while continuously answering questions. Some of the staff at Cable Beach Resort need a lesson in customer service. I didn't have any problem with my rooms, but some people did. To me it was an expensive trip, specially with the single supplement, BUT and amazing part of our country and well worth seeing, and I could only have done it on a tour.

Touring through Eastern Europe was quite different to our previous trips in Western Europe. The countryside was just as beautiful but the towns and cities are very different. The recent history (WW2, communism, the civil wars) were thought provoking. The cruise ship and cabin were excellent. The staff were delightful. The local guides varied a little read more but most were very good. The cruise director, Florentin, was very professional and very interesting to get to know as we ended in Romania his home country. I cannot thank Jemma at Global Journeys enough for her help in organising such a great holiday.

Kimberley Complete and Kimberley Coastal Expedition

The Kimberley was just absolutely gorgeous. The colours are beautiful and there was such a variety of things to see. The trip required a reasonable level of fitness and was quite challenging physically at times, but this was all part of the adventure. And then, you could take comfort knowing you had a restaurant quality 3 course (or more) meal waiting read more for you at the end of the day, no matter how remote your location. The cruise was also excellent and a nice finish to the trip at a slightly more relaxing pace, with excellent daily excursions to shore by zodiac boats.

This was one of the most adventurous tours I have completed and I am glad I picked APT as they really take care of you all the way through the tour. The vehicle, the guide was excellent. It was hard going at times as we did more climbing than expected. Thank goodness I am reasonably fit. Highlights were the amazing sites we trekked too, the amazing read more waterfalls especially Mitchell Falls, and the food was excellent throughout. Much better than expected. I was very happy and sad when it came to an end.
Wonderfully exhausting holiday! Don't expect perfection but gee these guys come pretty close! Can't praise the crew and staff enough - always cheerful, attentive and helpful despite the long hours they work. Scenery and historic wonderment is beyond description and would go back and do it again tomorrow just to capture what I missed this time round. read more Thank you! PS. Shower a tad cramped and not having laundry included was very expensive and disappointing.

Our tour host was friendly, competent and hospitable. All the tour guides were friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed Ludmilla, our guide in Bratislava who has the driest sense of humor I have heard in a long time.

What a trip - we all had a ball, our touring party were great bunch of people from all over Australia. Our tour guide Nancy Fletcher and Coach driver Les were truly professional through and through. Our most popular highlight was without a doubt the 2 Day Rocky Mountaineer "Gold Leaf". The entire Train crew spoiled us all so much we felt like Royals read more by the finish. From day 1 the whole trip went off without a hitch and we put this down to our agent Hannah Campbell at Global Journeys, our second trip handled by Hannah and will not be the last.

We travelled in June which was a great time to visit with waterfalls running and temperatures not too hot during the day. We enjoyed the company of our sixteen fellow travellers and our driver/guide was knowledgeable, well organised and highly professional. Some days involved long hours on the bus but this was necessary to experience all the highlights read more in two weeks, and every day delivered more spectacular landscapes. The quality of accommodation and the included meals were excellent.
Great time of year to travel to the northern part of Australia. Excellent accommodation for camping = Glamping.

This was our first Australian group tour so we were understandably both excited and nervous about how it would work. We need not have worried as it was a great trip. The scenery and tours were brilliant and our guide George was amazing. His driving, commentary, humour and care made the trip very enjoyable. We met some really nice people. The accommodation read more was mostly excellent and the food very good.
Our only concern was the Mitchell Falls itinerary. The falls are magnificent and the walk to them was both a challenge and a highlight. However, the drive to and from is very long on extremely bumpy roads. In reality it took 3-4 days in the itinerary to see the falls. We would have much preferred to fly in, do the walk and return. Apart from that, no problems at all. We thoroughly enjoyed our first APT experience.

The Captain and his crew looked after us extremely well and interacted with us all daily. There were no hidden costs and in fact, except for a few souvenirs that we bought, we didn't need to spend a cent extra on the entire trip! Strongly recommend this cruise with APT.

We really enjoyed the river cruise. Great cabin with outdoor balcony. The weather was very kind -hotter than expected. APT is very organized and we were very clear about our choices for day trips. Great to have a slow walkers group for those days where we were less energetic[because of a cold] We felt very safe when we could not speak the language of read more the country as the staff made it easy to explore the highlights and have some free time. It was quite busy but you could stay on the bot if you needed down time. The food was great[but too much] and the wine was more than plenty for us.
Re our flights - we took up the special $2,000.00 per person business class fare -that was great. However 7 airports and four airlines was a bit of a challenge but we managed it. We had a long wait at Hong Kong between flights from 10pm until 12md - we intended to stay at the airport business lounge rather than stay at a hotel as would spend several hours just getting there and back to airport. However the Singapore Business lounge [which Swiss Airlines uses] is closed overnight from 12am to 6am. We did not know this so would be good to let your customers know. We are glad to be home. We had a wonderful trip thank you. Booking on line worked well for us.
