Unfortunately, David's Alzheimer's reared it's ugly head, which had a direct effect on the tour - we were unable to fully participate in all activities as we may have otherwise. ...read more nice, a broad mix of backgrounds and interests. The weather was particularly kind to us, I understand, which was an added bonus! One member of our group, Keven, was taken to hospital from Vancouver Airport before we made our return flight. I do hope all is well with him, particularly as he was travelling solo. Two areas were of some slight concern - Via Rail did not live up to its reputation as one of Canada's attractions. Facilities for a full complement of passengers were rather basic, particularly in the organization of dining, and the fact that the hot water was not turned on for a number of carriages, resulting in cold/no showers for some of us. Also, our final day in Seattle was less than perfect, possibly a brief guided tour could be incorporated to break a very long, drawn out day of waiting. While Pike Street Market is undeniably interesting, not for 6 hours plus at the end of a three week tour!
