On arrival in Auckland, we'll meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Stay: Sudima Hotel Auckland
Journey north to see a mighty kauri tree and marvel at its size. From here, continue to the Bay of Islands, where you'll settle into your hotel and celebrate with a special Welcome Dinner this evening. This is the perfect opportunity to get to know your fellow travellers. Stay Two Nights: Copthorne Hotel and Resort Bay of Islands (B/D)
The Bay of Islands is home to 144 islands, providing a stunning aquatic playground off the north coast of the North Island. Enjoy a full day at leisure to explore this idyllic, subtropical micro-region, known for its pristine nature and rich marine wildlife. Perhaps relax on a beach, explore the stunning wilderness areas via one of the many walking tracks, or set off into town and dine at a local restaurant. (B)
Insider Experience: Keep an eye out for sea life encounters as you cruise through the Bay of Islands at the tip of the North Island. This captivating coastline provides sheltered waters for dolphins, whales, seals, penguins and other marine life. Set off from the Cape Brett Peninsula and cruise through the distinctive Hole in the Rock formation (conditions permitting).
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
