Cruise Itinerary

Departs: 16:00

A cruise out of Fort Lauderdale is one of the most popular ways to experience the best of the Caribbean, but this coastal South Florida city is a worthy destination in and of itself. Port Everglades is the main cruise port near Fort Lauderdale, but just a few miles away you’ll find beautiful white-sand beaches, a lively food and shopping scene, and cerulean blue waterways dotted with impressive yachts and sailboats.

Want to discover the best of Fort Lauderdale like a local? Go for an early-morning stroll along the Fort Lauderdale Beach promenade and watch the sun rise over the water. Then grab breakfast beachside at one of the many open-air cafes that line the waterfront. If you’re looking for a wilder way to spend the day, set out on an eco-kayak tour through mangrove forests, calm bays, and emerald-green inlets — Fort Lauderdale is home to more than 300 miles of waterways, which has earned it the nickname, “Venice of America.” Plan to arrive at least 2-3 hours early to account for checking in and boarding protocols. During this time, many of the ship's amenities are open and operating, so feel free to start your vacation early.

The high-energy capital of the Bahama's, Nassau, is filled with charming colonial-style buildings and pastel-coloured wooden shops that alternate with Georgian-style structures. Top Things to Do in Nassau:

  • snorkel or scuba dive at Rainbow Reef
  • spend the day at Atlantis Aquaventure

Labadee lies on the north coast of Hispaniola, with a backdrop of lush jungle-covered mountains that fall into the turquoise blue waters. A tucked-away paradise, where pristine beaches, frozen cocktails, and sparkling blue waters await. Ships will dock at the pier.

  • soar over the water on a zipline
  • ride the Dragon’s Tail Coaster
  • relax in a private bungalow on the beach
  • take a scenic boat ride to Amiga Island
  • go sport fishing in the Atlantic Ocean

Puerto Plata, on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic, offers cruise travellers a blend of history and natural beauty. Visit the Amber Museum, with its fascinating amber artefacts, or explore the 16th-century San Felipe Fortress overlooking the harbour. For panoramic views, take the cable car up Mount Isabel de Torres, where you'll find a botanical garden and a replica of Rio’s Christ the Redeemer statue.

Stroll along the Malecón, a lively waterfront promenade perfect for soaking up local culture and enjoying fresh seafood at seaside restaurants. Nearby, Playa Dorada offers golden sands and clear waters ideal for swimming and sunbathing. Don't miss the Damajaqua Cascades, also known as the 27 Waterfalls, for an adventurous trek and refreshing dips in natural pools.
