Start your day exploring the old town's labyrinthine alleys, filled with charming shops, cafes, and the 16th-century Venetian harbor. Afterward, visit the Archaeological Museum housed in a former Venetian monastery, showcasing artifacts from the Minoan to the Roman periods. For a more relaxed experience, head to the Municipal Market, a bustling hub of local life where you can taste Cretan delicacies, or relax seaside at Nea Chora beach, a short walk from the old town, perfect for a leisurely afternoon by the sea.

Beautiful Ports, Great Service, Wonderful Memories 0 , VIC, Australia, May 2026
We recently completed an amazing Mediterranean cruise, and it was truly one of the best holidays we have ever experienced. From the moment we boarded the ship until the final day, everything was exceptionally well organised and enjoyable.

There were plenty of things to do on board every day, including live entertainment, music shows, relaxing lounges, read more informative activities, and excellent dining options. The atmosphere on the ship was friendly and welcoming, making every day exciting and relaxing at the same time.

The customer service throughout the cruise was outstanding. The staff were always polite, professional, and eager to help. Every crew member we encountered made us feel valued and comfortable, which added greatly to the overall experience.

The onshore excursions were unforgettable. Each destination offered beautiful scenery, fascinating history, and memorable cultural experiences. The excursions were very well organised, allowing us to enjoy the ports without stress or confusion. Visiting the stunning Mediterranean coastal cities and islands created memories that we will cherish forever.

The food onboard was also excellent, with a wide variety of cuisines and consistently high-quality meals. The ship itself was clean, comfortable, and maintained to a very high standard.

We would also like to especially thank Global Journeys for their excellent customer service and assistance throughout the booking process. A special mention goes to travel advisor Grace Enchelmaier, whose professionalism, patience, and attention to detail made our travel planning smooth and stress-free. Her support and advice were greatly appreciated and contributed significantly to the success of our holiday.
