Itinerary

Departs: 3:00 PM

Los Angeles, a sprawling Southern California city, is famed not only for its influence on the entertainment industry but also for its diverse cultural offerings and sunny coastline. Highlights include the Getty Center, where art and stunning architecture meet in an expansive hilltop setting, and the historic Griffith Observatory, which offers panoramic views of the city and beyond.

For those embarking mid-afternoon, a stroll through the vibrant streets of Santa Monica or a visit to the eclectic Venice Beach Boardwalk provides a perfect slice of local life. Both are excellent spots to enjoy the quintessential SoCal sun, sand, and surf, complete with shops, street performers, and seaside eateries.

Love Sabatini’s? (Or really good Italian dinners?) You’ll be happy to hear this popular specialty restaurant has returned to its roots. Think traditional Italian comfort cuisine. Our new menu embraces the old: tried-and-true family recipes our chefs brought with them from Italy, plus exquisite Italian wines and cocktails. You can even enjoy some shareable plates exclusively at Sabatini’s Trattoria.

Arrives: 7:00 AM Departs: 5:00 PM

Sitka is nestled on the west side of Baranof Island. As the east is covered with snowcapped mountains and the west is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, recreational fishing and hiking have become what Sitka is most famous for. As well as their historical landmarks, picturesque views and authentic dining experiences.

Top Things to Do in Sitka:

  • visit Sitka Totem Park, home to authentic Tlingit and Haida totem poles nestled in a rainforest of giant Sitka spruce trees
  • hike through the Starrigavan with plenty of bird and wildlife viewing opportunities
  • explore Sitka via kayak

Arrives: 9:15 AM Departs: 6:15 PM

Princess is one of a select few cruise lines permitted to cruise the pristine waters of Glacier Bay, the highlight of our 7-day Voyage of the Glaciers cruise. Just west of Juneau, this breathtaking national park and preserve boasts some of the world's most spectacular tidewater glaciers, such as Margerie Glacier, which often drops colossal chunks of ice into the sea. Not surprisingly, Glacier Bay National Park and its epic ice giants are part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site comprising Alaska's magnificent park system.

During your scenic cruise, friendly Park Rangers will join the ship to share their knowledge of this amazing place and host a fun Junior Ranger program for kids. They may even be able to help you identify Glacier Bay's abundant wildlife, including humpback whales, sea otters, porpoises, harbor seals, black bears, mountain goats, bald eagles and large colonies of seabirds.

Take in the awe-inspiring scenery as you enjoy an unforgettable day of sailing through this dazzling park, where you'll glide along emerald waters and past calving icebergs, and can breathe in the crisp, fresh air to your heart's content.

Arrives: 7:00 AM Departs: 5:00 PM

Venture 'where the north wind doesn’t blow' and discover Icy Strait Point. This uniquely Alaskan port is one of the few places in the world where wildlife outnumbers the human population. Pine trees as tall as skyscrapers, humpback whales, eagles, wild salmon, black bears and more form the harmonious tapestry of life in this Alaskan hinterland. Ships will dock at this port.

Top Things to Do in Icy Strait Point:

  • brave the world’s longest zipline, ZipRider
  • go whale watching
  • visit the Alaskan native village, Hoonah
  • hike, bike or kayak through the wilderness

Arrives: 6:00 AM Departs: 9:00 PM

Skagway was Alaska's largest town with a population of about 20,000 during the gold rush in 1898. Hotels, saloons, dance halls and gambling houses prospered. But when the gold dwindled, so did the population.

Today, Skagway has less than 1,000 residents and it still retains the flavor of the gold rush era.

Top Things to Do in and around Skagway:

  • steam train from Skagway aboard the "Scenic Railway of the World"
  • excursion to the Klondike Summit
  • gold panning & dog sledding

Arrives: 6:30 AM Departs: 4:15 PM

Juno, commonly known as Juneau, is the capital city of Alaska. Only accessible by sea or air, Juneau's history, culture, and topography have resulted in many interesting activities for visitors to enjoy, all in the heart of Alaska's majestic mountains, rivers, glaciers, and forests.

Top Things to Do in and around Juneau:

  • dog sledding
  • explore the gorgeous Mendenhall Glacier
  • whale watching
  • Alaskan Halibut fishing

Arrives: 10:00 AM Departs: 5:00 PM

Visitors to Ketchikan will be intrigued by its rich Native heritage, which includes the world's oldest collection of totem poles at Totem Heritage Center. The Haida, Tlingit and Tsimshian are all a part of the city's colorful history. Ketchikan, with its abundance of salmon, is also a sportfishing paradise. Sightseers will be impressed with both the scenic town and its surroundings, especially Misty Fjords National Monument.

Top Things to Do in Ketchikan:

  • visit Totem Bight State Park
  • venture past the town limits into Tongass National Forest
  • visit Ketchikan's own Saxman Native Village
  • a myriad of outdoor adventures from fishing to zip-lining!

Original musicals, dazzling magic shows, feature films, top comedians, and nightclubs that get your feet movin' and groovin' - there’s something happening around every corner, and you have a whole cruise of days and nights to experience it all.

Arrives: 10:00 AM Departs: 6:00 PM

Victoria, capital of British Columbia, sits on the southern end of Vancouver Island, framed by an attractive harbour and surrounded by grand buildings.

With abundant parkland, it’s known for outdoor activities. The city's British colonial past shows in its Victorian architecture, including stately Craigdarroch Castle mansion. Butchart Gardens, with 55 acres of vivid floral displays, plus statuary, water features and a carousel, is one of many formal gardens in the city.

Take a dip in our sparkling freshwater pools and leave your everyday world behind. Unwind on a padded lounger and soak up the sun, catch up on reading, listen to music or dream of your next adventure on board or ashore. And what better way to relax and revitalize after a day exploring the world than a long soak in one of our whirling hot tubs. And don’t forget, there is always a server nearby to bring you a refreshing cocktail or favourite beverage.

Norway and Iceland Cruise 0 , NSW , Australia, Jul 2025
We booked our Princess cruise around Norway and Iceland through Hannah at Global Journeys. Hannah has now coordinated several holidays for us and we couldn’t ask for better service anywhere. Everything is always promptly and meticulously organised. Hannah’s attention to detail is outstanding and ensures a very smooth and enjoyable holiday from start read more to finish. Nothing ever seems too much trouble for her to follow up.

We have also found that Global Journeys is very competitive price wise and happily recommend their services for wherever you wish to travel. We really enjoyed cruising with Princess again on this trip. We appreciate the standard of their service, food and staterooms, especially in the Reserve Collection. We do find the shore excursions they offer to be on the pricey side, but with some pre-cruise research, more price competitive options can often be found in the various ports of call. Good luck with your holiday planning! No matter where you may be planning to go, it’s worth giving Global Journeys a call! Wishing you happy and safe travels.
