- Cabo da Roca Visit: Photo stop where “a terra se acaba e o mar começa…” which means “Where the land ends and the sea begins”. It's the westernmost point of continental Portugal, as well as of continental Europe. Enjoy a panoramic view over the Serra de Sintra. Historical records indicate that there was a fort on Cabo da Roca in the 17th century that played an important part in guarding the entrance to Lisbon’s harbour, forming a defensive line along the coast, especially during the Peninsular Wars.
- Palácio Monserrate: Altogether, there are more than 2500 plant species in the gardens. Particularly worth a mention inside the palace are the Music Room and the luxurious reception rooms, such as the Indian living-room, the dining-room and the library, all of which are to be found on the ground floor.
