An early start today as we transfer to Adelaide Airport to join our commercial flight to Olympic Dam. On arrival, we transfer to our small private plane and fly to Mt Eba, a massive working sheep and cattle station that extends over 832,000 acres. We get a taste of outback pastoral life and enjoy sightings of local fauna and flora before re-joining our plane and heading for the extraordinary Anna Creek Painted Hills. These stark rocky outcrops emerge abruptly from the flat surrounding country, and change colour with the light and the time of day. The hills can only be accessed by light plane, and we land to explore.
Later in the afternoon, we fly on to William Creek for a two-night stay at its quintessential outback hotel. The evening is spent yarning with the locals and looking back on a spectacular day. Stay Two Nights: William Creek Hotel (B/L/D)
