Thank you Hannah for a wonderful job, our tour went off without a hitch. Warren and I had a fantastic time on both sides of Canada and wow the Alaska cruise was amazing. We have made some wondeful friendships with couples that were on the whole 31 days. We took some amazing photos but the photos don't do it justice you have to see it in the flesh. I read more have already told so many of our friends they need to do this trip. There is no one spot better that the other all fantastic all so different, I think you get the idea. Yes we had a FANTASTIC time. There was only one thing that stands out during that Vancouver tour which was on the down side - we put this in the Travelmarvel report. The Tour Group that stated in Vancouver up the coast - had a tour group within the tour group. We felt sorry for our Tour Director Craig Smith - he had a lot to deal with because a women from the Phil Hoffman Group (they were a Singles Group) was a very rude individual to everyone in our group. Hopefully they do not decide to join them together again. We still had a wonderful time. We will be travelling again with Global Journeys, you are fantastic. Thank you again.
As we were one of the younger ones in the group (55yrs) the pace for us could have been a little bit quicker, but we did know this before we went. With younger people now booking these tours maybe this could be looked at. Having said that we had a terrific time and would definitely do another river cruise.

Generally we would have preferred fewer stops and more time at each one. We enjoyed the smaller historic villages/towns rather than the big cities. As there were a number of towns that were very similar perhaps it would be better to concentrate for longer on fewer of these. There were occasions where we felt overly organised when we would have liked read more the freedom to relax at our own pace. Hotel in Prague was excellent. Hotel in Paris was OK but our booking was not recorded for the fifth day and we were locked out of our room. Some of the TravelMarvel guests had larger rooms with Queen size beds. However our room was small with a Double size bed. Beds were fitted with Doonas that were extremely hot and nothing else to use as an alternative. Overall we were very happy with Yvonne at Global Journeys and would be happy to use TravelMarvel again. We were very happy on board the TravelMarvel Jewel. The food was outstanding and the general atmosphere and service excellent.

Global Journeys deserves an A+. Thank you for making it work so smoothly. Travelmarvel rates highly too, especially the Tour Director. Minor criticisms are 1. Many items in the colour brochures did not eventuate. 2. Local tour guides knowledgeable, but little consideration of varying fitness of tourists. 3 As passengers were only warned of degree of read more difficulty the evening before, several people had to cancel excursions they had looked forward to. However, these are not major problems when judged against the enjoyment of the total experience. Both Global Journeys & Travelmarvel rate highly.

Wonders of Vietnam and Cambodia

It was an experience that we all said we were glad to have had. It certainly makes you appreciate our life in Australia. Unfortunately we caught a bug during our cruise and it has taken time to deal with. The organisation of our trip was first class and all the people that attended to our needs were wonderful. The humidity was one thing that we were read more not expecting, so many showers were had!! The only thing was travelling very late at night both ways, but I suppose that isn't an option. The quality of accommodation was first class throughout and the buses that were our transport very clean and comfortable. Thank you Georgie for organising this trip.
A very well organised tour; it would have been impossible to cover as much as we did had we done it any other way, than with Global Journeys and Travelmarvel.
We were very happy with this tour. The tour manager and driver work together extremely well together and had a very good knowledge of each area we visited.

Optional tours never discussed by tour guide to the whole group. Organization in some ways very loose, but very knowledgeable. Never received the customary backpack as did the others by their supplier, so had to ask for one. Dinners good, but chefs would not let us place orders until everyone was there. Consequently most dinners stretched to over two read more hours not allowing you to do anything else in the evening and food came so late you were either ravenous or no longer hungry! Saw lots, but would have liked flexibility some days allowing a little hiking. Everything was so rushed. Friendly courteous service. Great driver. (Ed: Review based on slightly different itinerary. Discover Vietnam and Cambodia

Overall, it was very good trip; accommodation and meals were very good. We found the tour to Ha Long Bay too short; would've been nice to stay there for an extra night and then the trip back to Hanoi Airport onto Saigon, made for a very long day, arriving into Saigon and having dinner 9pm. We found the tour to Long Tan out of Saigon a little too far read more as the travel to and from was around 3 and half hours each way and by the time we came back to the hotel were exhausted. Canal trip was good local waterways branching from the mighty Mekong river, and the real and raw experience visiting local villages although one of the high-lites was visiting the Orphanage. Both Cambodia and Vietnam tours were excellent with expertise from local guides sharing their world, culture, history and diverse local foods. The only dissapointment was where our journey was cut short from the original program and we believe that it was not the usual standard we expected from APT. The boat was diverted at Phnom Penh to a alternative route up the Mekong River instead of through the lake Tonie Sap and the experiences associated with this section. There was a unforgettable bus trip that was 5 hours through very bumpy, uncomfortable and most complained there were not sufficient rest stops on the journey up to Siem Reap. I would recommend the original programme to my friends.

Barring the inclement weather at Cradle Mountain National Park and at Great Lake, Tasmania, our tour was outstanding. The destinations, accommodations and meals were first class. Over and above these, we would like to commend three special people: our driver, David, who kept us safe and secure on the road: our incredible Tour Leader, Les, who, in his read more soft-spoken way and erudite manner, was among the very best by whom we have been guided; and a special series of kudos to Jody Roberts of Strahan Village, who successfully returned via Australian Post COD two of my most treasured (and probably, most worn) garments - they arrived to Wyckoff, NJ, USA within one week of being posted -- incredible & outstanding! Your personnel and your associates are efficient, affable and totally amazing. Kudos to you all!

Natural Wonders of Vietnam and Cambodia

A lot of time wasted in flying, especially the return flight back home. 5 stops is not what you need at the end of your holiday. One couple had only 3 stops. There was a lot of repetitiveness in market visits and dancing and at one stage the lunch meal and dinner meal were the same except at different locations. Hanoi was to far away from having a read more selection of eating places and the Laos resort was also too far out of the town plus needed a face lift. Hoi An and Siem Reap were great locations. Tu the tour manager was very good and handled the hogans on the river section very well. The local guides used provided excellent insight into the history etc of their countries. You need to be fairly fit as there is a lot of walking on uneven ground and variable heights of steps. The breaks at Hoi An and Siem Reap were required but sitting around waiting to catch flights was boring. Your assistance was much appreciated, responses to queries were both accurate and timely. The only shortfall was when you were on leave the office failed to send out our backpacks which we discovered from the other tourists to be a great acquisition.
A very tight schedule due to distances to be covered each day and early dusk. As a result we felt that we were just passing through and missing 'the feeling' of the various stop offs or no stop offs. No criticism and a difficult one due to the distances between accommodation.
We had a wonderful time on our trip through Vietnam and Cambodia. Everything was so well organised, we didn't have to worry about a thing. We highly recommend Global Journeys who did a fantastic job, and APT tours, who were first class.

The staff and tour guide were excellent from start to finish. They treated us better than we were expecting. Frances did very well trying to get us on this tour and we thank her.

I believe that when the wild flowers are out the place is amazing. Both the tour guide and the driver were great. All our hotels were mostly comfortable. The only two complaints are when in Monkey Mia one of our meals was not up to standard. We were promised a delicious seafood platter, but what we got was not that great. The other was the so called read more 'sunset cruise' we were taken out on a catamaran which had a broken sail, (it was away being repaired) so the motors were used and then we were just drifting for half a hour. We just sat there waiting for the sunset. When the sun did start to set the motors were powered and we were taken back to shore. We saw some wonderful places in these 5 days. I highly recommend this tour to anyone, except it should be done at the right time of the year.

Essential Vietnam and Cambodia

We couldn't have been happier that we chose Global Journeys, right from the first enquiry the team showed perfection, nothing was too much trouble. Comparing it to other companies our money for value you were outstanding. The whole trip was first class. Our tour manager, Son, was SO GOOD, he went out of his way for many. All of our group were so impressed read more with him - he certainly made the whole experience for our group! We would certainly talk to you about our next holiday. Keep up the good work.

The whole experience was very positive and I would definitely book through Global Journeys again. I was booking from the UK over the internet and found the personal approach used by Global Journeys really easy to deal with. Having the same individual (Kirby) at the other end of the emails allowed me to plan and build up a good level of confidence in read more your company and the tour operator. I feel I got great value for money as well. Travelmarvel and APT put on an excellent tour. The staff (driver and tour manager) were great and did all they could to make ure I had the best possible trip. The hotels were all good and some were tremendous - especially Daydream Island. The tour has inspired me to hopefully travel more through Australia - it has given me an insight into Australian life - its culture (old and now) - and I have visited some beautiful places. Really enjoyed it - thanks.
