Glimpse Of Europe tour   2 Glimpse of Europe , QLD, Australia, Jul 2016
From the time we arrived at London Reception Centre and until we were dropped off at the end of our amazing journey we were extremely impressed with the friendly, efficient and professional staff. Our tour guide Roderick De Groot was fantastic and ensured the entire group on our tour were included and cared for. Our coach driver Christian was exceptional read more with his relaxed, confident and precision driving which delivered us safely to the many places we travelled to during the entire trip. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone keen to see lots of things in a short timeframe. Thank you to Global Journeys for promoting this tour. Also special thank you to Yvonne Brooks for providing professional, efficient and caring service and support. All the best to the entire crew and organisers that have contributed to providing us with the "journey filled with a lifetime of wonderful memories". I will certainly look forward to seeing your tours on offer and travelling with you again someday soon.
Enjoyable Tour 2 Highlights of Scandinavia , NSW, Australia, Jul 2016
It was good. Only negative item was the lack of free Wi-fi on the coach in Norway. Couldn't understand why this was so as the coach was equipped with Wi-fi and if we required it, it was going to be extra cost. On principle, we did not avail of it in Norway.
An excellent tour of Spain 5 Iberian Explorer , ACT, Australia, Jul 2016
We had a very good tour leader from Portugal who did an excellent job as did the driver, also Portuguese, who drove calmly and sedately so that we were all comfortable and relaxed in the coach. The tour covered all the sights and places we wanted to see in Spain and Portugal as well as Gibraltar. We can thoroughly recommend the tour to others.
London dreams came true! 5 England and Scotland Heritage , NSW, Australia, Jun 2016
It was a dream come true for mum and I, to explore England and Scotland with CostSaver. The tour was perfect for us as this was our first time in the UK. The tour guide Andrew was amazing and so was the coach driver ( we had to take a detour as soon as we crossed into Scotland due to a road accident and did the driver do an incredible job of driving read more the huge coach through narrow roads and took us safely into Edinburgh). I'll definitely travel with CostSaver again. It's not just value for money but it's sophisticated, hassle-free and very pleasant. Thanks Global Journeys.
Great trip 4 Highlights of France , Australia, Jun 2016
Overall a great trip. Bear in mind that you will be seeing a lot of France and in order to do so some days are quite long. Some days started at 8am and finished at 8pm. Like any tour some prefer a longer stay at certain towns and shorter at others. If you don't mind the pace and want to see as much of France as possible this is the trip for you.
Fantastic introduction to UK & Ireland 7 Britain and Ireland Experience , VIC, Australia, Jun 2016
This tour is quite fast paced. There are at least two long days devoted to travelling from one destination to another. The remaining days are packed with numerous historical sights, interesting villages or small cities to visit. Many of the times you are left to explore on your own with guidance from the tour guide. Many 'must see' locations are visited. read more The coach does travel along motorways when necessary...but most importantly you will veer onto very narrow country roads to admire the beautiful scenery that the UK & Ireland are famous for. The tour guide on this particular tour was Andrew Speed who very capably shared his vast historical knowledge throughout the tour. The accommodation offered varied...some hotels needing refurbishment to some newly built. Most disappointing was the location of the Dublin & Edinburgh hotels. They were too far away from these city locations and if you didn't do the optional excursions there wasn't much to do. The optional tours relating to sightseeing were well worth doing as they added to the overall experience. The dining out/ entertainment optionals were very expensive but were enjoyed by those that attended. The included breakfasts & dinners were excellent. A fantastic tour for getting a feel of the UK & Ireland!
Wonderful trip through Europe 3 , NSW, Australia, Jun 2016
The trip was really great , we had a wonderful time and we had a great lot of people to enjoy this trip with . The only place we thought that we could have not gone to was Madrid . There were many highlights Austria , Switzerland and of course Italy. Booking with Global was very easy and an enjoyable experience . The only disappointment was that in read more Austria, Switzerland and Germany there was no free wifi or aircon in the rooms , and we did have plus 30c.
Sadly major changes which I did not enjoy   4 , Australia, May 2016
I did the same tour a few years back and it was blissful. A had a week to fill between tours and snuck it in because I enjoyed it so much, first time around. They changed cities and hotels which was a great shame. You were virtually forced to do the optional extra tours as there was literally nothing near the hotels to do and see. The tour guide's read more ONLY concern was to make sure you gave 100% to the survey at the end . He went on and on and on about it every day prepping us about it. I NEVER do the surveys because I'm on holidays! The Lakes district however is truly beautiful and some of the best scenery Italy can offer. If you wouldn't mind pass this info onto Trafalgar and let them know.
Great discovery trip of the highlights of Europe - hasslefree. 10 European Discoverer With 3-Day Aegean Cruise , VIC, Australia, May 2016
Loved my trip tip to anyone going on their own you wont be sorry if you pay a little extra for a single supplement. I am so glad I did a lot of people sharing together were not getting along. I loved the Aegean Cruise was fantastic would love to do one that stays longer at each of the Greek Islands.
Wonderful trip through Europe 4 European Cavalcade , NSW, Australia, May 2016
We had a wonderful holiday our tour guide Sarah was very helpful and had everything well organised at all times. It was a busy tour but we saw so many amazing things. Coach and drivers were both very good.
12 Day European Experience (costsaver) 2 European Experience , SA, Australia, May 2016
Had a great trip met some lovely people, arrived on time to explore countries, would have liked some more free time to explore other areas, most of the accommodation was good.
Hectic but undorgettable experience of Europe 6 European Accent , ACT, Australia, Apr 2016
This being my first trip alone to Europe, I decided that I must have a "taste" of the regions around there, hence my decision to join a group tour. I chose Global Journeys after reviewing customer feedback on several tour companies. Hannah Campbell has been very helpful, obliging and patient in dealing with my questions. I was most impressed with her read more professionalism. She kept track of my records and ensured I had not forgotten any item to tick off along the way. Thank you, Hannah.

The trip I selected initially was European Cavalcade but due to lack of numbers, was not a confirmed tour and I requested for a tour that had been confirmed. Hannah suggested the European Accent, which turned out to be wonderful. There were 48 of us on tour plus Bernadette Willis the tour director and Ivan (most of the trip). Bernie was fantastic, energetic and so totally organised in getting everyone in and out of hotels, attractions and stopover places in time. She had such patience and always with a big smile, always helpful for even the silliest of questions. Everyone loved her. Ivan was practical, patient, helpful with the luggage and always ready for us when we returned from our local tours. Both of them managed the group wonderfully together. A big huge thanks to them.

I loved the places we visited and that Trafalgar has such good relationship with the museums and other attractions that we were greeted with smiles and offered drinks on the house - such as at Burrano restaurant in Italy. Apparently this takes years in establishing and clearly shows the quality of TDs that Trafalgar employs. Bernie seemed to know everyone and they greeted her with open arms. Again, proof of ongoing work in establishing good relationships.

I loved the Sistine Chapel, Vatican Museum, Venice, Florence - seeing the real David was amazing, Murrano glass blowing demo, Rhone cruise in Germany, Paris, Lyons, Monaco, Pont d'Avignon, Cannes, etc. the extras were pretty amazing too and I was glad to have the choice or not since there were days I just wanted to stay at the hotel and chill. The tour was a bit too fast paced for me, but only because I was not over jet-lag and getting up at 5:30 every morning was a bit too hard for my brain. Please warn people coming from different time zones to give themselves a few days before getting on tour as jet-lag can really hit you.
Cant wait for my next trip 2 European Experience , QLD, Australia, Oct 2015
It was really good... hassle free, had an awesome time cant wait for my next trip... thank you very much for looking after me on my travels. :)
Tour guide made the journey magical 4 European Experience , WA, Australia, Sep 2015
Fantastic tour guide, Emile Weigand-Bruss who made the journey magical. I am usually very critical of things but Trafalgar was fantastic. One hotel (in Florence) was a bit below par but the rest were excellent. The tour is fast paced but we enjoyed everything and there is no way that you can see everything we saw if you do it yourself. We travelled read more as a family of four (kids: 14 and 11). Emile looked after them so well involving them in everything. The optional excursions were fantastic. Definitely do them if you can (worth the money; and I doubt if you could do it by yourself cheaper). Don't hesitate to do this or another Trafalgar tour. We wont be doing 'sightseeing' holidays (as opposed to 'resting at the resort' holidays) any other way.
Tour itself was excellent 5 Spanish Experience , NZ, New Zealand, Sep 2015
The tour itself was excellent however the accommodation was not of the best quality in both Seville and Barcelona. The hotel in Seville was horrendous and had a broken toilet , this was after we had been moved due to the room air conditioner leaking. The hotel in Barcelona was beautiful however it was over an hour outside of the city with very poor read more public transport in the city it was difficult ( especially considering we had so much free time in Barcelona).
Enjoyed this tour immensely! 2 Italian Scene , VIC, Australia, Sep 2015
A great time! A professional, fun loving and caring Tour Director makes a world of difference! Enjoyed this tour immensely.
Things aside I loved the tour 9 European Cavalcade , NSW, Australia, Sep 2015
If our hotels are going to be out of town, then I would rather them be further out of town but with better amenities than just far enough to make visiting town difficult but with poor amenities. Also, every hotel should be family friendly. In some hotels they were obviously a cramped two-person room made even more cramped with an extra bed for a child. read more In Pompeii (which for me was going to be the highlight - it's the whole reason we picked that tour) the coach driver got lost and we turned up 30 minutes late. The local tour guide very clearly cut down our time in Pompeii because he had other tour groups to cater for. So we spent ages just sitting outside the ruins drinking orange juice and doing nothing. Then when I get on the coach again I found out that a few of the other tour passengers got to go back inside and look at the ruins during this time. No one told us. I was very upset as was my family. These things aside I loved the tour, but it does upset me that the key thing I wanted to see on the tour was ruined.
Everything on our bucket list was ticked off! 8 European Cavalcade , QLD, Australia, Sep 2015
Our European Cavalcade experience really was the trip of a lifetime. Everything on our bucket list was ticked off!! We had a fantastic tour guide, Esther and very safe driver Mario. They contributed to a very memorable trip. We saw a lot more in 18 days than we would have expected. We skipped queues, and were at places early enough to see what was important read more before the huge crowds. We did nearly all the optional tours which we recommend because then you experience everything there is to do in that location. The pace was great. We went as a family with teenage children and had plenty of free time. It is surprising how much free time you have to relax or explore on your own. Esther was very knowledgeable, informative and helpful, and we learnt more on this trip than we did in all our years of school! Mario kept the bus impeccably clean and we felt safe with his driving. The accommodation ranged from average to fabulous. We always had a comfortable bed and clean room/ensuite. The included meals were good, and the optional tour meals were exceptional. The group we travelled with all got along and have each become friends and we hope to keep in touch. Overall we highly rate this tour and would do it again and again.
Pleasantly surprised by the organisation 4 Glimpse of Europe , VIC, Australia, Sep 2015
We knew this was a quick paced tour but still pleasantly surprised by the organisation and efficient way the tour was done. We travelled vast distances in a few days, saw so many exciting things and the coach was extremely comfortable. We were taken to interesting places and shown hidden treasures - had fun though in some places a bit rushed due to read more time constraints. The only suggestion I have is that if we could have had the list of optional trips when we booked the tour? Some of us missed out on some optional tours due to other tours that we pre booked for the free times, others had to forego pre booked tours to go on some optional tours. The tour director Ashley Burton Brown was very informative, patient but efficient and fun! Georgie Walpole at Global Journeys was a great help with our two bookings - Britain & Ireland Panorama & Glimpse of Europe. Without Georgie's help we would probably have looked elsewhere.
Well organised and enjoyable tour 3 Irish Wonder , ACT, Australia, Sep 2015
Generally a well organised and enjoyable tour. Hotels were generally of good quality, however the location of some were too distant from main centres which limited touring of these areas.
