This was our second Cosmos holiday and enjoyed it very much! Everything was very well organised and our tour guide Linda was excellent. She was able to answer any query and went the extra mile to assist fellow travellers. It was a moderate pace tour with plenty of stops for food and photos. We were surprised at the elegance of our hotel in Los Angeles ...read more and loved staying there.The rest of the hotels were very good usually well located near restaurants and shops etc. We would be very happy to do another Cosmos tour next time we travel.

The 8500 tour was a great success for both my daughter and myself. The Tour Director (Jose Lumos) was very informative, effectively dealt with individual guest requests and professionally managed unplanned events over the 16 day period. Fantastic! The tour included so many highlights that it is hard to say which was my favourite. There was the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Hollywood, Beverley Hills, Yosemite, San Francisco and Santa Monica. We had 50 people on the bus and the whole logistics were seamless. It was right next to the cable car stop! There were only 2 hotels in the smaller towns that were a bit average, but you can cope with that when the rest exceed expectation. The tour director was very knowledgeable about all the areas we visited and was very organised in conducting the tour. There is a lot of free time during the tour and we had done our homework to make sure we used the time to the best advantage. A helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon is a must for anyone doing this tour. I would highly recommend this tour.

Tour covered a good spectrum and the Tour Director was very knowledgeable - if anything there was an overload of information - far too much to absorb and a bit more quiet time on the coach would have been nice. No breakfast included in the USA tours was a nuisance and detracted from the value.

Some of us complained to each other that the tour guide seemed to be in somewhat of a hurry to end the tour as Seattle was his home. I would prefer another tour operator if i were to desire another trip - our guide did not put much feeling into his job. Made me feel a little sheepish.

Good highlights tour of California, Arizona and Nevada. Excellent tour director. Most hotels good. Sonoma below expectations. The optionals enhanced our tour experience - perhaps more could have been offered eg meals in popular locations.

We had the best time; good time of year to travel as the weather was mostly fine - only a little rain one afternoon in San Francisco and a little foggy in the morning to Santa Barbara. I actually didn't expect to be so spoiled considering the price of the tour. I really love American hotel rooms - so spacious, and we often had two double beds (don't think I've ever slept so well!). The coach was brand new (no complaints there, unless you were very tall - the tall men were a little short of leg room on one side of the bus, but considering we had a loo on board for emergencies I think it is a small price to pay! ;-) And to top it all off, we had the best tour guide imaginable! He was so knowledgeable; he could recommend excellent places to eat (for the budget conscious and those who wanted to spoil themselves), advised us on transport options in the cities when we had free time to explore, excellent suggestions on what to do and see. His advice was always spot on! And the optional tours we took were lots of fun - the restaurants, especially the Chinese buffet in San Francisco, were superb. I would recommend this tour to everyone! From the start when we booked (excellent help from Frances - always prompt with her communications, we booked online) to the excellent care taken to ensure we had a great time (thanks Craig) and the absolute confidence we had in our terrific bus driver (thanks to John) to the pre-organised transfer to the airport to leave for home, couldn't ask for a better holiday. Excellent! Our tour guide (Craig) was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained and informed throughout the whole journey. Traveling with teenagers (14, 15 and 17) is always challenging, but ours loved every minute and there was never a complaint from any of them. This tour was excellent value for money, we would have preferred one less night in Las Vegas and one extra night in San Francisco. The accommodation value wise was very good. Our tour director was very friendly and helpful. We plan on taking another coach tour probably the coast to coast USA in 2014.

This was the first coach tour for my husband and I and we are looking forward to the next. Our tour guide, Jackie was extremely helpful and her commentary and advice on local attractions was very accurate and informative. Little extras that she provided, like maps, public transport timetables and dining suggestions ensured that we could navigate our ...read more way around and enjoy the unique attractions in most cities. We managed to avoid the long summer holiday queues at all tourist attractions because the bus tour company was able to pre-book tours on our behalf before we arrived at the venue and this meant that we always avoided the queues. Our tour consisted of young, middle aged and retired couples and families who all mixed well, which made for an enjoyable experience. There was also a good mix between free time and planned activities during the day.

As my first solo travel experience, I am pleased to say that I had an absolutely great time. I was apprehensive as to who I would or would not meet. Having never been on a guided tour before, we had some reservations and didn't really know what to expect. There are also problems with taking 3 teenagers, as they can either make or break the experience depending on how much they are enjoying themselves! But we shouldn't have worried at all. Craig, our tour guide, was absolutely brilliant. Extremely ...read more knowledgeable, and really good at keeping the whole group engaged and interacting. We learnt so much, not just about the places we were visiting, but also about the places we were just passing through. His experience showed, and he quickly found out who liked what, so when we arrived at destinations he could point people in the direction that would most interest them - either places of interest, dining opportunities, child-orientated stuff, or shopping (my personal favourite!). The pace of the tour was excellent, just when we were despairing of packing up every morning and moving on to the next town, we had a couple of 3 night stays which broke up the trip, and we could recharge the batteries. The coach driver Jason was a perfect gentleman and always polite and friendly, helping us on and off the coach, and a very safe driver. All in all, a thoroughly wonderful experience, and we would certainly consider another tour in the future as one of the easiest and stress-free ways to travel.

We had a wonderful trip, as well as the main stops on the itinerary we saw so much more than we expected along the way. It was value for money, very well organised even with a full coach. A few of the accommodations in the smaller townships could have been better, would be nice to have a bit of an upgrade.

My thoughts...well from the first time we contacted Global Journeys to the end of our journey in America, it was such a well organized and pleasant experience. Our fears about travelling by coach were unfounded, it was most comfortable and the majority of journeys were less than 2 hours!! Our tour guide (Al Lepore) was extremely knowledgable and always there to offer advice or give assistance.
