Fun and freedom 1 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2016
Once again Cosmos lived up to its' reputation. We had a great trip and luckily great weather. This tour takes in a lot. What is good is that you see places you probably wouldn't see if travelling by yourself. The Normandy beaches were wonderful to see and very emotional for most people. It is very fast paced and my only criticism is that it could have ...read more been slowed down a bit and maybe take a couple of extra days, an example is Avignon. We didn't arrive until quite late and really only had time for dinner. It would have been better if we stayed for the next day as well to see the place properly. The two times we stayed for two nights were so relaxing. Elsa was terrific, nothing was a problem for her.
Cosmos Grand Tour of France 0 , NSW, Australia, May 2016
Thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the tour. We had an excellent tour guide, Corina. Nothing was a trouble for her. Great sense of humor, interesting historical commentaries, easy to listen to, really knew her stuff and how to deal with all the different personalities. The coach (bus) was excellent, plenty of leg room and clean. Drivers were excellent. ...read more The tour group was a great mix of people with a love of fun, interest in the places we were visiting and fellow travelers, along with being punctual. I felt a sense of loss once we had finished the tour having enjoyed the company of such a fun group.
Wonderful experience 0 , VIC, Australia, Dec 2015
The Grand Tour of France was just what I expected, everything about the trip was fantastic. Our Tour guide Clara was wonderful,so full of knowledge & enthusiasm. Everyday was better than the last. I can't fault this trip as the hotels were in great spot, the optional tours some we could not do as it was Christmas time & a lot of places were closed. ...read more Not Cosmos's fault. Cosmos did make up for it though on our Christmas dinner & New Years Eve. Christmas time was a great time to travel & you get to experience the holiday vibe & xmas markets & lights. Overall I had a fantastic trip & would do it again.
All in all a wonderful trip 0 , NSW, Australia, Oct 2015
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. The places we visited were excellent, and could not faulty any. Our tour guide Corina was absolutely fabulous, words cannot describe her. She had a lot to put up with on our tour, but she coped extremely well. She deserved a medal! Alain our coach driver for most of the tour was also excellent. He had to back up a ...read more narrow one way street because a couple of cars were illegally parked, and Corina had to go and direct the traffic so that they would not come down the street. All in all a wonderful trip.
Tour director was excellent 0 , VIC, Australia, Oct 2015
Tour director Corina Moga was excellent. Her knowledge, sense of humour and expertise made the tour very enjoyable, especially considering there was such a large group. Majority of accommodation was good. Bus driver Alain was also very good. Set meals pretty uninteresting with no menu choices.
France was really different 0 , WA, Australia, Oct 2015
France was really different and the weather was great at this time of year.
Was a grand tour of France   1 , NSW, Australia, Oct 2015
We had a great time on the tour. Not a thing to complain about. Sue had never been on a coach tour before and she loved every minute of it. Driver and guide were both fantastic.

We were stuck in a very narrow street because a car was parked where it should not have been. Our driver had to back up the street with our guide guiding him. Wow what a ...read more great job they did. The photo is of the street where we got stuck and had to reverse back the whole street.

Have since been on one more Cosmos tour and have booked another one for September 2018.
Plenty of interesting sightseeing 0 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2015
I thought this tour was good value for the price paid and included plenty of interesting sightseeing. Accommodation ranged from basic to 4 star and breakfasts usually had plenty of choice, having some included dinners was also a cost saver and ranged from mediocre to excellent. Felt that some of the optional excursions were a little overpriced. This ...read more tour was taken with my husband who is french born but living in Australia and had not seen a lot of his country before moving here and our 26 year old son who also enjoyed it. Would take another trip with this company for the value it gives.
This is a value for money tour 0 , Australia, Sep 2015
It was great to be able to see all over France in 14 days. The tour guide was very helpful and entertaining. We had a number of nice hotels. This is a value for money tour.
The best yet thanks to Cosmos 1 , WA, Australia, Jun 2015
A truly fantastic tour, our second with Cosmos & certainly not our last. The knowledge of our tour guide was first rate, a credit to Cosmos. I have been on quite a few overseas holidays & tours....this was the best yet thanks to Cosmos.
Would not recommend this tour 2 , NZ, New Zealand, May 2015
I would not recommend this tour to anyone. The reasons are below. The literary of this tour was excellent. However, most of stops were given very limited amount of time, which was not sufficient for anyone to browse the full site. So often, we had to manage to do site seeing, having lunch and finding toilet in a very stressful time frame. We arrived ...read more at some evening stops after 6pm or 7pm, departed from there around 8am in the following day - we have not actually visited the place at all. Our tour guide was Corina. Her introductions and story telling often stopped half way through, as if she was reading the printout and can't find the next page. Her help was very limited. She would not go out her way to help if it affected her own schedule and time. It sometimes left us unsupported.
Our third Cosmos tour and we just loved it 1 , Australia, Oct 2014
Fantastic! This was our third Cosmos tour and we just loved it. The accommodation exceeded our expectations except for one hotel in Avignon, but the Radisson in Toulouse made up for it. Our tour director was the best we have had. So organised and full of local information. She would hand out maps for the towns we were visiting with highlighted places ...read more to see. She even did an orientation walk in each town and no-one of the 48 passengers ever got lost. She would buy our tickets for entry into places we wanted to visit and then collect any funds from us later. There was a lot of driving in this tour, as we covered some 3,500 kilometres in 12 days of driving. Our days would start at 8am on the bus and finish somewhere around 5 to 6pm. The early starts enabled us to be at locations before another 2 tour buses arrived and so we usually had the places to ourselves, absolutely wonderful. The optional excursions are a must do. The Monaco experience will be remembered for a life time, as our dinner was at a hilltop restaurant with glass windows facing Monaco and the Prince's palace. The whole trip was so well organised and everything ran smoothly. Thank you Cosmos for taking us to all the number one places in France!
Fantastic tour 0 , Australia, Apr 2014
The booking process was easy with Global Journeys and my tour was fantastic especially our tour guide.
The tour guide made the trip very enjoyable 0 , Australia, Sep 2013
The tour guide was excellent she went above and beyond what was expected and made the trip very enjoyable. The accommodation was quite good especially after a couple of hotels on the Switzerland tour.
I would recommend this tour to anyone 0 , Australia, Jun 2013
My wife and I enjoyed the tour very much. We traveled through many of the regions of France and saw some very beautiful country as well as castles and historic sites. Our tour guide, Edo, was excellent. He is very knowledgeable, entertaining and always willing to help if you need any assistance. I would recommend this tour to anyone.
Very pleased with the itinerary, guide and driver 1 , Australia, May 2013
Very pleased with the itinerary, the guide and the driver. Did not like the Ibis at Aivignon because they only one staff member in the dining room, crowded reception, no check on who was entering the dining room which led to the theft of a handbag and a camera.
Itinerary allowed us to arrive early at key venues to avoid crowds 0 , Australia, Apr 2013
Extremely thorough tour of France. Every day was used to maximum value and the range of attractions and historic sites visited was broad. The itinerary was devised to allow us to often arrive early at key locations to avoid crowds. The variety of places visited was fabulous. The additional tour to Loire Chateaux should have been incorporated because ...read more it was a clear highlight, as was the half day tour to St. Paul en Vence. The accommodation was of a superior standard. The pacing of the tour was comfortable.
Too many churches and not enough time to explore 0 , Australia, Aug 2012
Too many churches and not enough time to explore the towns visited. Quality of the food was disappointing. A few hotels had rooms that were very small. Tour would have been better if there was more time to relax after each day's travel instead of arriving at 5 or 6 pm everyday. Tour director was good and tried his best to make the holiday enjoyable. ...read more Travel arrangements from Cosmos and Global Journeys were good. However, the tour comprised mainly senior persons. While the group members were all very nice people, if I had known this, I would not have joined this tour. Cosmos should have been more open about this information. (Ed. Hi Wai Leng - Cosmos tours are 'open age' tours and generally have a good mix of ages, but tend to be 40+ however you really have to wait and see when you arrive. The next departure may have had more of a mix of younger clients - or not. These details are listed throughout our website - have a look at our 'Operators' section to compare - I hope that helps for your next trip!).
Tour was good value 0 , Australia, Aug 2012
The meeting hotel in Paris needs to be changed. Forest Hill gives a very bad impression of what the tour is going to be like. I think the 14 day description is not quite true. It is really a 12 day tour (Ed. This is common in most itineraries - the first and last days are often arrival and departure days - required for us Aussies flying over). Also ...read more because some of the hotels are so far out of town you cannot actually go and see that city. Toulouse and Lyon in particular. Some of the time left at leisure in some cities or towns are too long especially in the heat and one in particular when we went to Rocamondeur we were all just wanting to get to the hotel to relax. We didn't get there till almost 7.30 and it was a lovely hotel. The Radisson was prob the best on the tour but we were expected to go to dinner without even freshening up after being left for hours in 42 degree heat. Most people on the tour were upset. It was too far out to see the city and we didn't do a walking tour here. A lot of the hotels were very average. However it was a lower cost tour so we expected accommodation to be of a lower standard but we did expect better locations closer to the city centres. The tour guide and driver were very professional, helpful and knowledgeable. Most of the included meals were terrible. It would be much better to add $100 and have decent meals. The Radisson in Toulouse had nice dinner and breakfast.
Saw lots that we never knew existed 0 , Australia, Jul 2012
It was a great tour, and everyone got along really well, we have all been in touch with everyone since we have come back home. The only complaint I would have is they are very long days. But we had a great time and saw lots that we never knew existed.
