Itinerary

On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport you'll be transferred to the resort (flights to arrive prior to 3.00pm). Take a leisurely drive to Kata Tjuta to experience a magnificent outback sunset. Stay: Outback Hotel & Lodge, Desert Gardens Hotel or Sails in the Desert Hotel, Ayers Rock Resort (4 nights.)

Rise early to witness a stunning Uluru sunrise, then continue to Walpa Gorge, where you'll follow the natural creek bed between two of the tallest formations of Kata Tjuta, a mysterious series of 36 red-rock domes.

This evening, dine under a million stars at the Sounds of Silence Dinner. As the sun sets, listen to the sound of a didgeridoo and join your fellow travellers for an unforgettable experience. Enjoy a gourmet buffet of Australian delicacies accompanied by fine Australian wines, then sit back and relax as a star talker explains the constellations of the southern night sky (weather conditions permitting). (D)

Travel to Kings Canyon and make the rocky climb to the rim of the canyon for marvellous views of Watarrka National Park. Or, you may wish to take an easier, shorter walk to explore the boulder-strewn canyon creek bed. Return to Ayers Rock Resort. (B)

See the amazing collection of Indigenous art at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, then tour the base of Uluru and take the Kuniya Walk to the Mutitjulu Waterhole. Experience the remarkable colour changes of Uluru, the world's largest monolith, while enjoying sparkling wine at sunset.

Experience artist Bruce Munro's Field of Light. Under darkness, wander through 50,000 magical hand-crafted frosted glass spheres of light, in colours of ochre, deep violet, blue and gentle white.

Later, you will be transferred to Ayers Rock Airport for your onward flight (flights to depart after 9.30am).

All aspects of our trip to Uluru were fantastic. 2 , VIC, Australia, Mar 2023
All aspects of our trip to Uluru were fantastic. The service provided by our travel Consultant Hannah was excellent, especially as we were initially not able to get a booking for the Sounds of Silence dinner. Hannah kept in touch with Voyager for cancellations and was able to get us booked in for the dinner around 1 week before departure.

The accommodation read more at Sails in the Desert was beyond what we were expecting and was simply first class. All of our tours operated by AAT Kings were great experiences and they really have some great people operating as their bus drivers and tour guides. One driver that went way beyond our expectations was Will and he made our three journeys with him as our driver exceptional. We will certainly be travelling back to Uluru again.
