Brian and Bernadette Talk About Travelling with Insight Vacations

Since we are now retired, we have had more time to explore the world. We were looking for a tour of Eastern Canada and as we had previously done the Country Roads of Switzerland trip with Insight Vacations and were very happy with the quality, inclusions and service, we decided to choose Insight for our next trip which was the Best of Eastern Canada and the USA. 

Canada was originally the main draw card, however the USA also ended up being a highlight for us. We loved travelling through New England, Boston and Philadelphia and learning about the history. Being from Britain originally it was nice to hear the history and stories as told from the other side. We finished our wonderful trip by boarding the Queen Mary 2 to sail to the UK. The cruise tied in nicely with our land arrangements.

Our trip was 16 days and we really loved that six of the cities we visited had 2-night stays. This was important as we got well acquainted with the cities we visited. The itinerary had excellent hotels in central locations, each place we stayed at was top quality - we couldn’t fault any of them.  

Holidays are largely influenced by the people you meet along the way. Our Travel Director, Howie, was totally customer focussed and couldn’t do enough for us. Nothing was too big or too small. Howie was a fabulous resource and had a keen knowledge of the geology and history of North America and knew how to impart this to the group. 

There were so many interesting inclusions and memories we had along the way. It was hard to pick just a few but some stand outs were; experiencing the wonder of Niagara Falls and seeing it in a completely different way, to visiting the Top of the Rock to and looking out over the New York skyline at all the iconic buildings.

When looking through all our holiday photo’s there are so many valuable memories and all the smiles were made with Insight!
