Itinerary
Welcome to Cape Town. Enjoy an included arrival transfer to the start hotel and take some time to freshen up and get settled. After an afternoon welcome briefing with your CEO and new Solo-ish travel mates, attend a hands-on, intimate cooking experience with the whole group in the hillside neighbourhood of Bo-Kaap.
- Meet Your CEO and Group: Your opportunity to meet your CEO and fellow travellers, and learn more about your tour. Opt to join the group for a local meal afterwards. Don't forget to see the notice in the lobby (or ask reception) for the official time and place to meet up with the group.
- Cooking Class & Dinner in Bo-Kaap: Food is a universal language, and there's no better way to get to know a new friend, or a new community, than by breaking bread together and digging in to a delicious meal. Gather round with local women as they give you a warm-hearted tour of their beloved Bo-Kaap. Gather together in the kitchen as you help your host cook a multi-dish meal of traditional regional staples like potato Malay curry, samosas, and chili poppers. Step-by-step, you will learn together and witness how food has this undeniable power to bring strangers together. Sit down around the table in your host’s home and enjoy the delicious fruits of your labour as you laugh and share stories about one another. You’ll be surprised how early on the connection can feel effortless.
Today is all about Cape Town. First the group and CEO will enjoy a cable car ride up to the top of the city’s iconic Table Mountain. Soak in the views that locals and visitors alike rave about, and set your sights on landmarks like Lion’s Head, Signal Hill, Table Bay, and Devil’s Peak. Explore some of the hiking trails at the top before returning to the base via cable car. In the afternoon attend a farm-to-table experience at SEED, a Planeterra Project community garden where you will enjoy a workshop and listen to stories before having a delicious, locally sourced meal.
- Get To Know Cape Town: With your incredible CEO at the helm, get to know the local community and your Solo-ish travel mates on a day packed full of interesting and engaging adventures. Start by getting to know the glories of Cape Town during an epic day featuring both a highlight and unique experience. First up a cable car ride to the top of iconic Table Mountain to enjoy the remarkable panoramic views from new heights. Enjoy time to hike the surrounding trails with others or on your own, and feel the luxury of solitude but skip the loneliness. Then head to a community garden to hear from a local entrepreneur about the work they are doing to grow organic produce. Cap off the day with a delicious spread of food from the garden.
Get ready for what G does best and enjoy a day of the must-see sites and highlights of Cape Town with a surprise G twist occurring somewhere along the way. Depart for the Cape Peninsula, with a quick stop at St James along the way to see the colourful beach huts and take some photos, then head to Kalk Bay for the charm of this fishing village where mussel shells used to be farmed to make chalk. Boulders Beach is next where you'll hop into a kayak to paddle with the penguins. The remainder of the day is focused on various viewpoints and lookout spots around Cape Town and who knows where you just might end up to cap off G Day.

It's not just an epic day of fun, its chock full of incredible experiences and a surprise G element along the way to take your day to an 11. From the beach huts at St. James to the charming fishing village of Kalk Bay and the iconic penguins at Boulders Beach, this day in Cape Town gets you to all of the must-see spots while adding in a special G surprise somewhere along the way. Visit the Cape Point Lighthouse, set off along the Chapmans Peak Drive, and feel fully enveloped in the allure of Cape Town.
It’s time for a day that belongs to you! After three immersive days, Cape Town might be feeling familiar and you’re likely ready to take on some exploration by yourself. From museums to hikes, or perhaps a wine tour to the nearby vineyards, there’s no shortage of options. And you can decide to be as alone or social as you choose for the best of both worlds.
- Cape Town Me Day: Traveling solo alongside your new Solo-ish travel mates means there's always something fun to do and new friends to explore with. But the joy of travel can also be about taking time to yourself to recharge, refresh and reflect on the journey. Today, choose to join your CEO for an incredible activity, or take the time to yourself to enjoy your own company in one of the most incredible places on our planet.
- Urban Explorer Day Tour: Join this optional experience through Cape Town's vibrant city culture and stunning landscapes. Begin the day in the eclectic neighbourhood of Woodstock, where you'll witness the renowned street art scene alongside a local expert. Then, dive into the community life of Khayelitsha on a guided cycling tour where you'll have the chance to support local business along the route. Mid-day calls for a cruise along the breathtaking Chapman's Peak Drive offering up epic coastal views. Cap off the tour with some time to relax at Muizenberg Beach with its iconic colorful huts. It's an ideal way to truly experience Cape Town.
- South African Wine Tour and Tasting: Take a day trip into the wine lands of South Africa with an expert guide. Visit iconic estates and lesser-visited farms only known to locals in the Stellenbosch area. Indulge in tastings and pairings with cheeses, chocolate, and local delicacies such as Biltong (salted meat). Walk through vineyards and cellars for an all encompassing look at wine production, and learn about the history of this region. Gesondheid! PLEASE NOTE that if this activity is listed on the first or last day of the itinerary you will need to book a pre-night or post-night with a sales representative as the wine tour begins at 8 am.
You’ll feel simultaneously sad and excited to be leaving Cape Town for the next leg of this Solo-ish adventure. Board a flight to Kruger where the safari portion begins. After arriving at your accommodations in this wild area, you will enjoy a safari drive for a glimpse of the resident animals as the day winds down.
- Afternoon Safari Drive: Experience the perfect introduction to the wildlife of the Kruger area and hop in a 4x4 safari vehicle to get yourself one step closer to the surrounding nature. Be ready to spot large herds of elephant roaming in the area as well as groups of buffalo, antelope, hyena, and more.
- Plane: Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's... yup, it is a plane, actually.
Rise with the bright African savanna sun for an included morning and afternoon safari to get up close and personal with the nature that surrounds you. Gather for a group dinner at camp in the evening.
- Morning Safari Drive in Kruger National Park: Set off on an early morning safari drive in the southern section of Kruger National Park. Catch a glimpse of predators on the move and grazing wildlife along the Sabie River. Pass through the varied landscapes east and west of Skukuza, including a riverine forest, mixed woodland, and open grassland.
- Afternoon Wildlife Safari Drive Kruger National Park: Head out into the stunning beauty of Kruger National Park on an afternoon safari drive and try your hand at spotting the legendary "Big Five."
- Free Time: Spend free time back at the lodge to enjoy lunch on your own and relax before this evening's activities.
Travel into the untamed Big 5 Reserve of Kruger National Park to your tented safari camp. Embark on wildlife drives through the park and enjoy time to participate in the various activities near the camp on your own.
- Big 5 Reserve Afternoon Safari Drive: Enjoy an afternoon wildlife drive through the park to spot the resident animals and photograph the grandness of this environment.
Spend a final day in the tented camp area. Participate in morning bush walk and an afternoon safari drive. With your free time, opt to simply relax in your serene surroundings and take time for yourself. Whether that be writing, reading, meditating, or simply listening to the lively sounds of Kruger National Park, the choice belongs to you. In the evening, gather together for a bush dinner in the fresh, open air.
- Morning Walking Safari: Awake in the early morning and set of into the bush with an expert guide. Learn about various plants and animals in the morning glow of the savanna and experience a whole new way of being close to the nature that South Africa is known for.
- Free Time: Take some time to yourself and enjoy your surroundings in the African bush. Enjoy lunch at the lodge property.
- Big 5 Reserve Afternoon Safari Drive: Enjoy an afternoon wildlife drive through the park to spot the resident animals and photograph the grandness of this environment.
- Boma Dinner: Gather round for a Boma dinner and indulge your taste buds with South African cuisine in harmony with the wildness of the landscape. Lit by lanterns and the warming fire, you will taste your way through traditional dishes made from local ingredients.
Take advantage of some time this morning to say your good-byes to the beautiful savanna and leave Kruger for Johannesburg. In the evening, gather with your CEO and Solo-ish friends for an optional farewell dinner in Johannesburg.
- Morning Safari Drive: Soak in the calming atmosphere of the bush on a final morning safari drive. Take some time to breath in the smells and close your eyes to listen to the sounds that have been your background music for the last four days.
