Itinerary

Your mesmerising journey of Greece, Turkey and Cyprus begins in Athens, where you'll be transferred to your Emerald Cruises luxury yacht. Athens, the capital city of Greece, is a remarkable blend of ancient history and modern dynamism. (D)

Delos, a small rocky island in the heart of the Cyclades archipelago, is one of the most important mythological and archaeological sites in Greece. In the afternoon, you will venture to Mykonos. The island's allure lies in its blend of traditional Greek culture and cosmopolitan flair. Whitewashed houses with vibrant blue doors line the winding streets of Mykonos Town. (B/L/D)

Milos is a Greek island known for its unique natural beauty. It's often referred to as the ‘Island of Colours' due to its diverse soil shades, including yellow, orange, red, and dazzling white — even more vibrant against the backdrop of turquoise waters. It's also the original home of the iconic marble statue of Venus of Milo. Unearthed in 1820, the statue is now on display at the Louvre Museum in Paris, but Milos's archaeological museum houses a replica. (B/L/D)

One of the most photogenic islands in the world, Santorini is an eye-catching place with whitewashed buildings clustered on top of soaring cliffs rising out of the ocean. Santorini is renowned for the beauty of its iconic architecture, domed rooftops, volcanic-sand beaches and world-famous sunsets. (B/L/D)

Patmos is a small Greek island in the Aegean Sea steeped in religious history. The Monastery of Saint John the Theologian, a UNESCO World Heritage site, towers over the island's capital, Chora. Nearby you'll find the Cave of the Apocalypse, where, according to tradition, Saint John the Theologian wrote the Book of Revelation. The local cuisine of Patmos is a delightful mix of traditional Greek dishes and fresh seafood. (B/L/D)

Visiting Kusadasi offers a fascinating blend of history, beautiful beaches, and vibrant markets. Its history dates to ancient times, with early settlements by the Lelegians and Carians around 3000 BC. The town has seen many rulers, including the Byzantines, Venetians, and Genoese. (B/L/D)

Kos is a Greek island just four kilometres off the coast of Bodrum, Turkey. It's the birthplace of Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, and home to several historic ruins, including an ancient agora, a Roman Odeon, and the Asklepion, an ancient healing temple. (B/L/D)

The Medieval City of Rhodes, known as the ‘Island of Knights', is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Encircled within a four-kilometre length of wall, the city's medieval buildings, the Street of the Knights, and the Palace of the Grand Master make you feel like you're in the Middle Ages. Rhodes is also famous for delicious local dishes — try the melekouni (a traditional sweet) and pitaroudia (chickpea fritters). (B/L/D)

The cityscape of Antalya is a mesmerising blend of azure skies, dense forests, and the blue Mediterranean Sea. The Taurus Mountains provide a contrast to the city's sun-soaked beaches, making Antalya a paradise for nature lovers. Antalya's rich history unfolds in its well-preserved old town, Kaleiçi, where Roman-era harbour walls, Hellenistic gates, and Ottoman-era houses pay homage to the city's storied past. (B/L/D)

This beach-resort city is a district of Antalya Province in Turkey. It boasts beautiful beaches with long stretches of golden sand and a picturesque backdrop of Taurus Mountains. Alanya has a rich history dating back to the 13th century. The city's ancient sites are a testament to its past, with landmarks like the Alanya Castle, Red Tower, and the shipyard. (B/L/D)

Limassol is known for its rich culture, which is a blend of Greek, Turkish, and British influences. The Akrotiri Salt Lake and wetlands, just south of Limassol, are a haven for birdwatchers, especially in winter when flocks of flamingos congregate. (B/L/D)

Larnaca is the third largest city in Cyprus and was built over the ancient ruins of the city of Kition. It is a place where past and present blend into a delightful mosaic of sun and culture. It is a destination that amazes every guest with its diversity, its special atmosphere and the hospitality of its people. (B/L/D)

Your luxurious yacht cruise concludes in Larnaca, where you'll be transferred to the airport for your return flight home or to continue your holiday.

Impressive ship and itinerary   5 , QLD, Australia, Jul 2024
This was our first time with Emerald Azzuarra having previously travelled on the Scenic Eclipse. We loved the relaxed and non crowded feel of Azzurra. Being a smaller ship it was able to go to ports the bigger cruise lines cannot reach which was fabulous. We realized how great this was when we visited places like Debrovnick and Split that had 3-4 read more other big cruise lines in port and the places were PACKED! This itinerary was fabulous. We travelled mostly overnight and woke up each morning to a postcard view of a new town. The Croatian coastline and towns were stunning. Montenegro was just as beautiful, and whilst Albania was interesting , one day was perfect. Coming through the Corinth Cananl with only centimetres to spare on either side was a highlight.

The Emerald Azzurra crew were also amazing. Friendly, personable and attentive. Nothing was a problem for them. There are a few things Emerald need to work on such as food choices and consistency of quality though. We were told they are bringing people from Scenic Eclipse to elevate the experience. Emerald Azzurra is not in the class of Scenic Eclipse yet but has all the elements to be just as impressive with a bit more work. Overall we loved the trip and would travel with Emerald again.
My Perspective   5 , QLD, Australia, Jun 2024
My wife and I have just returned from our cruise on board the Azzurra. For my wife it was her first time on the open seas, and for me, an opportunity to experience small ship cruising with one of our long term cruise line partners. I'm the CEO of of Global Journeys, so I thought I should put in some extra effort and provide you with a thorough review read more of our experience on board and on shore. Our rating gives it away a bit...but it's not all smooth sailing! Read my full review here if you're interested, but if not, then suffice to say, small ship cruising with Emerald will be a new experience for many and we'd both recomend this cruise and the ship to our friends and family.
Amazing Azzurra 9 , VIC, Australia, May 2023
Eleven days of pure bliss, our expectations were surpassed on this voyage from Athens to Athens. We could not fault any aspect of our time aboard or any of the activities we enjoyed. Special mentions go to Karen (activities), Paul (chef & his crew) and Ozay in the spa.
