Ahlan Wa Sahlan – Welcome to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan! you will be met and be assisted through immigration and customs procedures. Afterwards, you'll be transferred to your hotel in Amman, which is about a 30-minute drive. Check-in and have some leisure time.

In the evening you will meet your fellow travellers as you enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant situated in downtown Amman, offering a taste of authentic Jordanian cuisine.

After breakfast, drive to Jerash (50km, 45min), one of the best-preserved Roman provincial cities in the Middle East. Explore its ancient wonders, including paved streets, colonnaded walkways, majestic temples, and impressive theatres, offering a glimpse into the grandeur of Roman civilisation.

Afterwards, return to Amman, and delve into the city's rich history with a guided tour of its historical sites. Begin at Citadel Hill, where you'll discover remains dating from the Roman to the early Islamic period and visit the Archaeological Museum to further explore Jordan's heritage. Continue through Amman's bustling downtown area, strolling through the vibrant Souk to experience everyday life in the city. Admire the Roman Theatre, dating back to the 2nd century and boasting a seating capacity of 6,000 spectators.

Stroll through Jabal Amman and Jabal Weibdeh, renowned for their vibrant artistic communities, charming handicraft shops, and delightful restaurants.

Drive to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth 400m below sea level. Experience the unique sensation of floating effortlessly in its buoyant waters, known for their therapeutic properties since the time of Herod the Great. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a Dead Sea resort, taking in the stunning views of this natural wonder.

Afterwards, continue with a scenic drive to Kerak Castle, a remarkable Crusader fortress perched on a hilltop. Explore its underground passageways and imagine the epic battles that once took place here as forces clashed during the time of Salah Ad-Din's siege. You will then continue to Dana Village, home to Bedouin communities for centuries, and part of the Dana nature reserve. This remote village dates back around 500 years, and it's location, situated on the edge of a cliff that looks out over Wadi Dana, is spectacular.

Your home for the night will be Feynan Ecolodge, nestled in the heart of the Dana Biosphere Reserve. Hailed as one of the best 25 ecolodges in the world by National Geographic Traveler Magazine, this enchanting lodge offers the most developed eco-experience in Jordan.

Staying at Feynan Ecolodge is a truly enriching and memorable experience, rooted in sustainability, community engagement, and natural beauty. It is entirely off-grid, constructed from adobe (a blend of mud and straw), and operates without conventional electricity. While there may be limited charging opportunities in the lobby, it is recommended you bring a power bank if you feel you will need to charge devices on this night. Lighting is provided by candles and lanterns, creating a peaceful, magical ambiance at night. The rooms are simple yet beautiful, blending comfort with natural design.

When approaching the lodge, your guide will accompany you to the edge of the reserve and then for the final 5-10-minute journey from the main road, you'll transfer into a local Bedouin vehicle. This approach is actively encouraged by the lodge to provide income to the surrounding Bedouin community. These vehicles are rustic and well-worn, often dusty and marked from years of use – all part of the authentic experience.

Feynan Ecolodge offers various activities, some are free of charge, and others can be paid directly to the lodge with all funds going to the local Bedouins in Feynan. These can include visiting archaeological sites, sunset walks through the landscape, cooking classes and visiting archaeological sites. You will be advised when you check in as to what activities are available on the day. You are also welcome to simply relax and unwind in the serene courtyards or rooftop terrace.

After breakfast you will travel in a Bedouin vehicle for the short distance back to the edge of the reserve where your guide will be waiting for you. From there you will drive to Petra (65km, 1.5hrs), Jordan's most iconic attraction. Petra, known as the “Rose City,” was established around the 6th century BC by the Nabataean Arabs, who carved magnificent structures into rose-coloured sandstone cliffs. You'll enter the narrow canyon known as the Siq, a mesmerizing journey leading to Petra's hidden treasures.

As you walk through the Siq, explore the stunning monument known as the Treasury, one of Petra's most iconic structures. Continue along the Street of Facades to explore the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle, each offering a glimpse into Petra's rich history and architectural grandeur.

Afterwards, enjoy some free time to explore Petra at your own pace, soaking in the majestic beauty of this ancient city.

After breakfast at your hotel in Petra, drive to Wadi Rum (113km, 1hr 50m). Wadi Rum, Jordan's largest wadi, is a breathtaking desert landscape inhabited since prehistoric times. Upon arrival, embark on a thrilling adventure with a 4×4 jeep tour led by a local Bedouin driver. Explore the rugged terrain, marvel at the ever-changing colours of the sand and mountains, and soak in the serene atmosphere that surrounds you. As you traverse through the vast expanse of Wadi Rum, you'll encounter dramatic canyons, towering red sand dunes, ancient Nabatean rock inscriptions, and natural rock formations, including a stunning rock bridge formed over centuries.

Later, check into your campsite in Wadi Rum, where you'll enjoy a delicious dinner under the desert sky, hopefully, adorned with a canopy of stars, creating a magical ambience for your night in the desert.

After breakfast, drive approx 4 hours to Allenby Bridge, also known as King Hussein Bridge. After the formalities at the Jordanian terminal, board a shuttle bus and then cross into Israel.

Welcome to Israel! On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Jerusalem. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Jerusalem, the timeless heart of three major world religions, is a city steeped in history, spirituality, and cultural significance. With its ancient stone walls and labyrinthine streets, Jerusalem is a living testament to thousands of years of human civilisation. Here, sacred sites such as the Western Wall, the Dome of the Rock, and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre draw pilgrims and visitors from around the globe, each seeking a connection to the divine and a deeper understanding of their faith.

But Jerusalem is not merely a city of the past; it is also a vibrant modern metropolis, where bustling markets, vibrant neighbourhoods, and a blend of cultures converge to create a unique and dynamic atmosphere.

This morning, you'll start at the Mount of Olives. Revered by multiple faiths as a sacred site, this iconic hill offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Old City's domes, minarets, and ancient walls, casting a spellbinding allure over all who behold it. From its storied summit, where olive trees whisper tales of the ages, pilgrims and visitors alike are drawn to its hallowed ground, where biblical events unfolded and prophetic visions were cast – an ideal spot to understand Jerusalem's history and why it's known as “The Holy City.”

Walk down to the holy Jewish Cemetery to reach the Garden of Gethsemane, renowned for its ancient Olive trees. This site holds significance in the New Testament as the place where Jesus went with his disciples to pray on the night before he was crucified. Continue to “Yad Avshalom” a grand Petra-style tomb attributed to Absalom, son of King David.

Finally, you'll visit the Wailing (Western) Wall, the last remains of the Jewish Temple, where you can pray or write your wishes on a note and place it between the ancient temple stones, as thousands have done before you.

Today, you will continue to explore the Old City of Jerusalem. Jerusalem holds a unique significance in the world as it is considered holy to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Explore the City of David, the ancient heart of Jerusalem, often referred to as “where it all began,” and experience the daring walk through the nearly 3000-year-old Hezekiah's Tunnel.

At the Davidson Centre, witness recent excavations of the Southern wall of the Temple Mount and immerse yourself in an audio-visual presentation detailing the journey of Jewish pilgrims who ascended three times a year to the Temple in Jerusalem.

Next, visit the Temple Mount (if open to visitors), home to the Muslim Dome of the Rock and Al Aqsa Mosque. Explore the colourful oriental market of the old city “Souk,” experiencing its vibrant mix of colours, sounds and scents. Follow some “Stations” of the “Via Dolorosa” to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, believed to be where Jesus was crucified and buried. Continue to the Western Wall tunnels where you'll walk deep underground for a unique experience spanning 400 metres beneath the vibrant streets of the Muslim Quarter.

Finally, you will visit the Armenian Quarter and explore ancient churches with intricate artwork, rich symbolism, and ornate decorations, and learn about their significance to the Armenian community and Christian heritage in Jerusalem.

Today, drive to Bethlehem (9km) to discover its sacred sites. Begin your visit to Rachel's Tomb, a sacred site in Jewish tradition, that serves as the burial place of the Biblical matriarch Rachel. It symbolises hope, prayer, and maternal compassion. Proceed to the Church of Nativity and learn about its significance as the birthplace of Jesus Christ and its status as one of the oldest continuously operating Christian churches in the world. Visit Shepherd's Field, traditionally believed to be the site where the angels announced the birth of Jesus to the shepherds.

Next you will observe the exterior of The Walled Off Hotel, designed by the anonymous London-based artist known as Banksy. The hotel is not currently open, however previously has served as not only a place to stay but also serves as a powerful art installation and a platform for political commentary on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Drive through Mea Shearim, an Orthodox Jewish neighbourhood. This neighbourhood, founded in the 19th century, remains a stronghold of tradition, where residents adhere faithfully to customs passed down through generations. Your guide will offer insights into the rich traditions and practices that define this tight-knit community, providing a deeper understanding of its cultural significance and historical roots.

At lunch, you'll head to Mahane Yehuda, a bustling market offering diverse culinary delights. Enjoy a tasting tour where you will try 10 different foods that represent Jerusalem's diverse flavours, from traditional Middle Eastern to international cuisine.

Later in the afternoon, you will visit Yad Lakashish, a community program supporting elderly residents of Jerusalem. Here, you'll engage in traditional handicrafts, interact with the elderly, and have the chance to try crafting yourself. This program serves as a lifeline for connection and fulfilment, providing the elderly with meaningful engagement and a sense of belonging. (B, Lunch on food tour).

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to the Judea Desert and start with Wadi Qelt. Amidst rugged mountains, you'll hike along a scenic trail, discovering a stunning spring where you can enjoy a refreshing swim. Next, drive to Moses' Tomb in the Judea Desert. Here, you'll explore the ancient city nearby, delving into its rich history and archaeological treasures. Walk through the ruins and uncover tales of ancient civilisations and remnants of the past.

Afterwards, drive to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth known for its therapeutic benefits. Experience floating effortlessly on its buoyant waters. If time permits, why not indulge in a rejuvenating natural spa treatment? (Not included)

In the afternoon, continue to Hebron, the city is divided into two sectors: H1, under Palestinian control, and H2, under Israeli control. Hebron is a vibrant and culturally rich city, explore its bustling markets, walk along its ancient streets, and admire its architectural treasures to gain insight into its fascinating past.

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive to Kfar Kama, a charming Muslim town nestled in the Galilee region. Immerse yourself in the cultural richness of the area as you explore its streets and interact with locals.

Continue to the iconic Mount of Beatitudes. Here, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the Sea of Galilee, also known as Lake Kinnereth. Explore the serene surroundings and take in the tranquillity of the landscape. You'll also have the chance to visit the peaceful church, a masterpiece crafted by the renowned Italian architect Antonius Berluzzi. Serves as a place of solace, inspiration, and renewal, a timeless symbol of faith and devotion in the heart of the Galilee.

Next, visit the archaeological excavations of Capernaum. Here, you'll learn of the captivating story of the town's rise and fall and diverse cultural and religious heritage. Explore the remnants of the ancient settlement, including the famous Synagogue, which stands as a testament to centuries of historical and cultural significance. This site remains a key destination for Christian pilgrims and scholars seeking to deepen their understanding of its legacy.

Afterwards, you will embark on a captivating boat ride across the tranquil waters of the Sea of Galilee aboard a historical boat reminiscent of the vessels used during the time of Jesus. As you sail, immerse yourself in the Christian traditions and reflect on the legendary deeds associated with Jesus on this very lake. Let the gentle breeze and rhythmic motion of the boat transport you back in time, offering a unique perspective on the rich history of this sacred body of water.

Later in the afternoon, enjoy a delightful wine-tasting tour at one of the Golan Heights' most renowned wineries. Here, amidst the picturesque vineyards and rolling hills, you'll have the chance to savour an exquisite selection of wines crafted with meticulous care and expertise. From crisp whites to robust reds, each sip offers a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the region.

Tonight, you will stay in Tiberias on the western shore of the Sea of Galilea.

After breakfast drive to Akko (Acre) to visit the underground “Knights Halls” which has been extraordinarily preserved since the Crusader Times. At the Akko Prison remember the brave Jewish underground-fighters who were imprisoned and executed by the British here. Then at the Turkish Bath “The Last Bath Attendant” will tell you some of Acco's legends, after which you will experience the typical bazaar, with the colours and odours of the orient. In Akko you will also visit the Tunisian “Or Hatorah” Synagogue, a life-endeavor of a simple Jew who created a unique synagogue covered with mosaics that depict the Jewish history and religion.

Drive to Rosh Hanikra, right at the Lebanese Border, where you will go by cable-car down into the grottos carved by the sea. Driving along the “Northern Road” you reach Zefat (Safed) – Capital of the Kabbalah. Towards sunset you tour the different synagogues and view some art galleries. Continue to Tel Aviv (176km, 2hr 25m) where you will spend the evening.

Drive to Haifa for a panoramic view of the Haifa bay and the golden domed Bahai shrine and gardens. Continue to Daliyat el Carmel, a Druze village and hear the story about their live and special connection to Israel. There will be time for lunch (paid locally) before you proceed to Megiddo, identified as the site of Armageddon; visit the archaeological excavations including the water supply system.

Drive along the coastal plain to Caesarea, capital of Judea under the Romans. See the excavations of the crusader city and the Roman port, aqueduct and the amphitheatre that has been restored to its former glory as a concert venue. You will then drive back to Tel Aviv.

After breakfast, drive through the bustling streets of Tel Aviv, often considered the heart of Israel's business and entertainment scene. Explore the architectural beauty of the “White City,” a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its Bauhaus-style buildings. Visit Rabin Square, a significant historical site marking the assassination of Prime Minister Itzhak Rabin. Take a moment to reflect on the impact of this event on Israel's history and politics, honouring Rabin's legacy of peace and leadership.

Continue to Old Jaffa, an ancient port city with a history spanning over 4,000 years. Walk among the ruins and explore the restored artists' quarter, where studios and galleries reflect the area's rich artistic heritage. At the Ilana Gur Museum, discover contemporary Israeli art and culture, gaining insight into the country's dynamic artistic landscape. Wander through Neve Tzedek, Tel Aviv's first neighbourhood, established in 1887. Enjoy the charm of its boutique-lined streets, quaint cafés, and vibrant galleries.

Experience the lively atmosphere of Nahalat Benyamin, a bustling pedestrian street filled with street musicians and artisan stalls on Tuesdays and Fridays. Browse handmade jewellery, crafts, and unique souvenirs crafted by local artists. Immerse yourself in the sensory delights of Carmel Market, Tel Aviv's largest market, where vendors offer an array of fresh produce, spices, and local delicacies. Nearby, Shuk HaCarmel presents an eclectic mix of goods, from handmade specialities to designer items, in a dynamic marketplace setting.

Conclude your day at Sheinkin Street, known for its trendy shops, lively cafés, and youthful energy. Enjoy the creative atmosphere of this cultural hub before returning to your accommodation.

This morning is yours at leisure until it is time to transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
