Magnificent Europe. Paris- River Cruise, Prague. 2 , NSW, Australia, Oct 2022
Paris was very disappointing, the river cruise & Prague were excellent and met all expectations. Very knowledgeable & well organized tour guides. Perhaps this trip isn't geared to solo travelers. Accommodation on the cruise & Prague of high quality but were disappointing in Paris.

Recommendations:- (Paris) Perhaps the APT tour guide could have attended read more earlier to ease the tension/frustration/anger felt by the early arrival of clients. It was noticeable, that both Avalon & Viking guides where in attendance. Hotel personnel were quite rude/short/ with clients as they where very busy! Perhaps this could be looked into by Global Journeys. (GJ Team: We'll certainly pass on your comments to APT. Thanks for your feedback.)
Excellent in every way 5 , NSW, Australia, Apr 2015
The cruise & the visit to Prague - excellent in every way, 5 star service & accommodation. Only down side was the visit to the Moulin Rouge - show great, food, service & seating terrible. Need to rethink this as the experience was not enjoyable.
What an amazing holiday!! 9 , QLD, Australia, Apr 2015
What an amazing holiday!! The booking process through Yvonne Brooks was painless (for us, not necessarily Yvonne), even though we changed our minds several times on details. The trip itself was truly unforgettable. APT go above and beyond expectations to make their trips memorable. From pickup to drop off at the airports we had not a worry in the world! read more So many great excursions to choose from, none of which disappointed, and several that truly stood out. Visit and dinner at Namedy Castle, The Majestic Imperator rail trip and the Concert at City Palace Lichtenstein. The local guides in the towns and cities we visited were very knowledgeable and the different paced groups a great idea. Our Cruise Ship Ama Venita was beautiful both in appearance and atmosphere. It was good to be part of the Christening Ceremony for this vessel. Cruise Director Anja kept us well informed on all matters and dealt with several unforeseeable situations very seamlessly.

I really appreciated her efforts, particularly when the flooding required a change of cruise ships mid voyage. Thank you Anja!! The cruise ship staff were nothing less than amazing in attention to detail, their friendliness and professional attitude. Cruise Manager Marcel the most entertaining of a long line of on board entertainment. The food was exceptional on board both in quality and presentation, and wine flowed freely. The accommodation in Paris and Prague was excellent, extremely well appointed King sized rooms and both locations within walking distance of many major attractions. Our sincere thanks to both Global Journeys and APT for a truly magnificent trip.
APT cruise was absolutely excellent, faultless 6 , Australia, Jul 2014
Our APT river cruise through Europe including Paris and Prague was absolutely excellent, faultless. From the very outset of enquiring and then booking through Global Journeys our whole journey was seamless, dealt with by professionals who made certain all our problems or questions were alleviated. The main objective of all the APT staff was to ensure read more we enjoyed our holiday. Unique experiences of dining at the invitation of Princess Heide von Hohenzollern in her 14th century Namedy Castle and private concert by special invitation of Prince Constantin ein at his Liechtenstein City Palace in Vienna added to the personalised feel of the tour. The small villages (and larger cities) we visited were explored with knowledgeable, friendly, local guides, an aspect that APT pride themselves. We even had a local lady stop and spontaneously sing Ave Maria unaccompanied in the street of Miltenberg. Our 'day of the castles' was beautiful. Only one question that troubled us as we cruised past at least 30 wondrous castles situated on their picturesque hillsides, why are the grape vines grown vertically down the hillsides of the Rhine valley instead of horizontally? The answer is available when you visit a local Rudesheim vintner and walk amongst the vines on his family vineyard. All sightseeing off the ship was optional and we always had a choice of at least two tours. Different levels of fitness were catered for with slower, medium and fast paced groups offered and we had time to wonder or shop before the ship left dock. I have to mention the on board bicycles which were available for various tours, simply to explore the local village or ride along the river bank, great and very easy to ride. This was a particularly enjoyable European experience. We have been pleasantly spoilt by 5 star service travelling with APT.
We had a wonderful time 4 , Australia, May 2014
Many thanks to Global Journeys and in particular Yvonne for handling the booking for our recent trip. Every inquiry was answered promptly and all our requests acted on. We had a wonderful time away. The week we organised in Paris prior to joining the APT tour was everything we could have wished. Once we moved to the APT Paris Hotel we were looked read more after like special guests. Herbert our Tour Director was with us right through to Budapest, his care, knowledge and organisational skills were excellent . Helena took us onto Prague and made sure we enjoyed the city she also escorted us to the airport for our flights home. Our experience of APT was 100% satisfaction. Our boat 'Amadante' was excellent, 141 passengers, the staff and freshly prepared meals were first class. All local guides were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The tours were excellent. We certainly recommend APT and Global Journeys for a holiday of a life time.
Far better than we had expected 9 , Australia, Apr 2014
This tour was even far better than we had expected. Starting from my first checking the APT website after watching the TV ads for the Amsterdam to Budapest cruise and subsequently contacting Global Journeys for more information, we have been completely satisfied with the promptness and details of all queries. Yvonne Brooks was very polite and patient read more with all my email enquiries and this was very much appreciated as it was our first overseas trip and we needed all the help we could get. Even after deciding to upgrade our trip to the Paris to Prague trip, this was organised with no problems. We can't thank Yvonne enough. APT was excellent right from our being met at the airport in Paris to being taken to the airport in Prague. All excursions were very well organised each day, all Tour Guides were very knowledgable and seemed very happy to be doing their jobs and made all excursions most enjoyable. The only thing we have to say about the cruise from start to finish including accommodation, food, drinks, staff, entertainment is PERFECTION...we had no complaints or problems. We were completely satisfied with booking our APT Tour and river cruise booked through Global Journeys.
