Overall, booking our holiday through Global Journeys was very smooth going, thanks to the good service extended by Hannah Campbell. We have had a wonderful time travelling with Insight Vacations, interacting with so many friendly nationalities across the globe. Could have another night in Stockholm and Oslo as arrival was late in the evening. Spectacular scenery across Norway. Optional experiences were well selected but bit pricy. Towns like Bergen and Geiranger was exceptionally scenic and should include additional night stay.

The tour was well organised and our tour director and driver were superb. The highlights of the tour were the Norwegian fjords. Accommodation was satisfactory however some hotels were not up to the standard we have previously experienced with Insight Vacations. Scandinavian countries are cashless - we used only credit cards. Thank you Jemma and Global Journeys for arranging the tour of Scandinavia for me with Insight. Global advertised the tour dates before they were available on the other web sites so I was able to get in early and secure my spot. Insight are a very good operator and took it from there. Everyone was made to feel welcome by Joey, our tour director. An excellent adventure!

The weather in Scandinavia was fantastic; so good that it probably would never be repeated. To be in Bergen on Norwegian National Day (17 May) was a highlight and something that I would recommend to anyone travelling to this area. Copenhagen is a dynamic and interesting city - very different to Australia.

We have a wonderful Insight Tour Experience, travelling through Denmark, Sweden and then onto Norway and the Fjords. The tour guide and tour driver and local guides made sure we had a unique experience and learnt much about the local culture and natural aspects of the country visits. Wonderful trip through Scandinavia' s Historical Capitals, countryside and magnificent mountains and fjords.

Highlights for us were Copenhagen, Stockholm and Bergen then the picturesque snow capped mountains and the exciting drives up and down the bending mountain roads in the hands of a very experienced driver.

This is the second time we have travelled with Insight and we were not disappointed. In a sense we were lucky as we only had 23 in our tour group, 7 from Australia, 2 from India and the remainder American. Everyone was punctual, happy and we enjoyed each other's company. No-one was obnoxious, loud or difficult which is a rarity in this day and age. ...read more I would not normally choose to travel at peak time and in summer and the only negative was that the hotel in Copenhagan did not have air conditioned rooms so it was warm during the night but the windows opened which helped with the flow of air. Michael our Tour Director was a legend and made the trip even more memorable with his calm but professional demeanour. Nothing was too much trouble and along the way he gave us extra surprises above what was included in the tour. Our coach drive Lazslo also did an amazing job driving at times the very narrow roads especially along the Troll road from Gieranger in Norway. We felt completely safe in his hands and the coach was kept very clean and he always had a smile on his face each day.

he scenery was breathtaking especially in Norway but allow extra spending money for eating out as this is very costly in Scandanavia and alchohol especially in Norway is expensive. I also took a double bed sheet with me as all the rooms have duvets with covers and no top sheet so if you like to have a cover on at night the sheet provided enough warmth without being too hot especially travelling in the middle of summer. I also took an immerser to make a cup of tea in the room as unlike Australia there were no kettles in some of the hotels and this especially applied to Norway.

Overall we had an amazing time, met wonderful people and enjoyed the breathtaking scenery of Scandanavia. I would not hesitate to travel with Insight again especially if we had Michael as our Tour Director and Lazslo driving the coach!

We have travelled with Insight before and have always enjoyed their tours, even with the occasional glitch. Spectacular Scandinavia was overall very good, particularly the time spent in Norway. Accommodation was generally good and some were very good, particularly for location and ambiance,particularly (again) in Norway. There were some long days of ...read more driving, for example from Copenhagen to Stockholm, which were tiring but it is hard to see how this could be avoided, given the long distances to be covered. The tour started with 3 nights in Copenhagen and we think this is too much. We would prefer one fewer day there and an extra day in Geiranger or Bergen, or maybe one in each,spent as free days to allow us to wander. Overall a most enjoyable trip. Norway was the highlight.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour with the spectacular scenery, congenial company on the tour, knowledge of our guide and the high standard of most elements of the tour. Norway was the most scenic and interesting of the 3 countries we visited. I thought that some of the optional activities could have been included at no extra cost.

Despite knowing that we were covering long distances in a bus, it did get a bit wearying sitting on the bus day in day out. I think i would have preferred more days in the cities of Stockholm, Bergen and Oslo and miss Falun and Lillehammer or just had a bit more time to the trip. I did enjoy Odense but given that we spent all day on the bus getting ...read more there and back to Copenhagen because we couldn't continue on to the ferry trip. I think i would have preferred a rescheduling that involved an extra night in Stockholm. The bus was too airless but it was roomy. I doubt we would have enjoyed the trip anywhere as much if Frederike had not been our tour guide. Her dry sense of humour was tremendous and she bent over backwards to help everyone on the bus with just about anything!

Enjoyed our holiday, picturesque places we visited and Fjords area was very pretty and scenic. Our tour guide was very helpful and interesting. Great coach driver which made us feel very safe along some very difficult roads and weather conditions. On the down side we felt that some of the other guests on our tour had better accommodation to us so ...read more probably wouldn't use Insight again and also long wait at airport for our transfer to our hotel. Our travel arrangements and paper work was excellent so we will consider using Global Journeys again in the future.

We loved the tour, especially thanks to the excellent tour director. The coach was very comfortable and the group of 40 was very friendly. You do have to be prepared for early starts in order to pack everything into the day. I would definitely recommend Insight Vacations.

The hotel at Frederikshaun in Denmark was poor and there were several long driving days. The latter is to be expected in any tour of Scandinavia, but it meant early starts to the day and plenty of sitting. Fortunately, the ...read more coach was excellent, with plenty of leg room, the tour director, Chad Hartin, competent, knowledgeable and entertaining, the local guides first class and there was much of very great interest throughout the tour. Norway, however, was simply outstanding. The fiords, glaciers and mountains of the west coast are stunningly beautiful. Winding through, up and down the ranges was exhilarating, the experience complemented by the skill of our very safety-conscious driver. The group of forty travellers included Aussies, Canadians, New Zealanders and Americans and not surprisingly it bonded well. We recommend this tour.

Our first tour together, very enjoyable. Tour guide Lena was very knowledgeable on local traditions and places we went in Scandinavia.

I think the guide made the trip really, with her inside knowledge and experience and extra little touches. It was a big group - some with extra diet needs - so organization was really necessary. Excellent with only 21 people on the tour...40 seater coach...Not being notified of a change of itinerary was of concern. Had this not been picked up and queried prior to departure we would not have been advised until Oslo. This amendment to the advertised tour should have been flagged immediately the problem was evident.
