Wonderful Spanish tour 1 , Australia, Oct 2023
Travelling with Insight was totally stress free. Our fabulous tour director saw to every little detail and his suggestions for restaurants and optional tours were spot on. The hotels we stayed in were great and our group got along really well. It was relaxing , fun and informative at the same time. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Global Journeys and ...read more Insight for future adventures.
Highlights of Spain   1 , NSW, Australia, May 2019
Accommodation was not as good as expected for a 5 star operator. Extra legroom on coach was appreciated. Included restaurants were a treat. Rest stops were better then expected. Travel director Maria was well organised, approachable and very likeable.
Fantastic taste of the culture and history of Spain 3 , SA, Australia, Apr 2018
This was our third Insight Vacations tour. They have all been great.

What we particularly like about Insight is the extra legroom on the coaches, the smaller tour group numbers, and the knowledgeable tour guides. Our tour director, Dan, was fantastic.

With only 2 weeks between booking our holiday and departing, Madeline at Global Journeys managed ...read more to seamlessly arrange everything, without a single hitch, and at a great, discounted price. The money that Global Journeys saved us paid for our extra hotel accommodation before and after the trip. Thanks, Madeline.
Excellent Experience 2 , New Zealand, Aug 2016
We felt the whole experience was brilliant. As first time travelers to Europe we were somewhat apprehensive of what we had let ourselves in for, however within a few days we knew we had made the right decision. Global journeys provided excellent professional service and given the short notice for our trip (less than 2 months) they took a lot of stress ...read more out of our lives. The tour operators (Insight) were brilliant, the bus was very comfortable with legroom to burn. We always felt safe in the bus in some very precarious and sometimes narrow roads, the driver was excellent. The tour guide was a wealth of information, was totally organised and she had a great sense of humour. The hotels were mostly well located and reasonably roomy and well kept. Our holiday was right in the middle of the holiday season and the temperatures were on occasions a little on the high side, however because we were a tour group we were able to get priority into the various tourist attractions without having to wait in queues. We bonded well with our fellow passengers and have made lifelong friends as a consequence. We will do it again using Global Journeys and Insight tours.
Well organised with minimal fuss 2 , Australia, Jul 2014
Having travelled with Insight before, this tour was just as good and well organised with minimal fuss. The additional leg room in the coach was much appreciated.
Disappointed with the tour 7 , Australia, Aug 2013
I was, disappointed with the Insight tour of Spain on a couple of counts. One was that the hotels they used. Whilst being described as 'centrally located', with the exception of the one in Valencia, were the edge of each city, (at least 10-15 minutes by taxi or more, for instance Barcelona Melia was 20 minutes from Place Catalyuna by taxi on a Sunday ...read more afternoon) making it very difficult or even impossible to look around the city by yourself in some (very limited) free time. They were lovely hotels, but inaccessible for tourists to find their own way around a city in the limited time. I would have preferred a lesser hotel, but more accessible to the city we were in, as I came home thinking, I hadn't really seen Spain, I had seen 'buildings', as I had not been able to get the flavour of the places we stayed in. I also feel very strongly about the lunch stops. I am appalled that a tour of the standard we were on, stopped (with two exceptions Peniscola and Toledo), at truck stops for lunch! Food was awful, typical of what you usually associate with a truck stop, not even a decent freshly made sandwich and of course no opportunity to explore the area there either. The facilities at the truck stops were basic but clean but a decent cup of coffee and a nice sandwich would have been much appreciated and time to look around a local town was what I would have expected for a tour of this standard. The tour was described as being 'leisurely' which was completely incorrect, fast paced would have been nearer the mark. It was full on from early morning, till late at night, as most nights there were either included dinners or optional dinners. With the hotels being so far removed from the city there was little or nothing in the area near the hotels to eat, so consequently we felt the only option was to take the optional dinners, which of course added to the cost of the holiday, rather than eat in an expensive hotel restaurant.
