Everything about this holiday worked for me. Our booking agent at Global Journeys was wonderful, quick and efficient. The cost was reasonable. The itinerary really great, mixed and everywhere we went was enjoyable. The tour director (Alessia) was a wow factor as she was such fun and very competent. She livened up the tour and made sure we were never read more bored. The local guides were excellent too.
Three bucket list destinations

T & T, QLD, Australia, Aug 2016
Our group tour ended up being the two of us and after some in trepidation, it turned out to be brilliant. at each destination a guide was there to help with everything. In fact due to the time spent, you became close with them and they made the trip wonderful. Santiago was great with the recent history and the passionate guide who helped us feel at read more home. Galapagos is literally another world and just by luck, it was low season and so fewer people. We met other great travellers in the rich and diverse land. The closeness of the animals and the bringing to life Charles Darwin's theory was second to none. We would go back again. Cuba, a place that is safe, warm and friendly, don't believe what you are told as the Cubans have a different view on history and how they live, works and works well. This is an amazing land rich with culture and music and mojitos. Brilliant. Peru and the Incas and the level of advancement from 1000 years ago is superb. 70% of all food that we know originated from Peru. This is a must travel, but ensure you take your altitude tablets and drink the Coco Tea. The whole tour was the brilliant, well organized and actually great that there was only the two of us. Worth every penny!
Spectacular Highs of all Kinds

Alpine Discovery

I think the spectacular and breathtaking scenery through Bavaria, Austria, beautiful Slovenia (which I had previously known little about) the Dolomites in Italy then the Swiss Alps, was really the key to my enjoyment of this tour. Our Slovenian guide Ales, was a mine of information and passionate about his subject and he looked after the fifteen of us read more really really well. Being a small group we were more like a family;this was fun and reassuring for those of us who were sole travellers. The summer weather was fantastic, our drivers were skilled and really, I couldn't recommend this tour highly enough. A couple of hotels might be changed(we were the first group to do this tour) and I won't be eating sauerkraut again for at least a year(!) but these are minor details. An extra day in Interlaken would be good. A Mozart concert is Vienna could be an option;I would have preferred that to the Sound of Music tour, but that is only a personal thing. I will never forget the thrill of being up The Matterhorn.
A fantastic destination with a great tour company 2
L & L, NSW, Australia, May 2016
I would definitely use Bunnik again. They include a lot more what's in the brochure so there were lots of surprises among the way. Our quide was the best guide we've ever had. Norway is beautiful but Iceland was the highlight. The landscapes were amazing, the people are friendly, and unique experiences made this holiday one to remember.
Mexico and Cuba 3
TKH, Australia, Apr 2016
Got to know the history, culture and the people of Mexico and Cuba. A real eye opener. Sergio, our guide in Mexico, is very good and experienced. His commentary and explanation of Mexican history and life are both entertaining and informative. The itinerary led us to different parts of Mexico with its varying cuisines and we had different styles of read more accommodation. We got to taste some very nice seafood. Carmen, our guide in Cuba, is good while doing her talk in the tour bus. But there is room for improvement for her performance on the road. Not much guiding once outside the bus and not very clear cut about the logistics of the tour. Were pleasantly surprised by the variety of seafood we got to taste in Cuba. Cuban music and American old bombs are marvellous. The rides in these classic cars are hilarious. Cuba is not a country one goes for its scenery but for its history, its mystery after so many years of enforced isolation and for the pilgrimage for Che Guevara. Bucket List Trip to South America 3
William, NSW, Australia, Oct 2015
No tour is perfect but this was excellent value for money, one of our most memorable trips, plus we made a few lifelong friends :) The weather was on our side, especially at Machu Picchu and the first day at Iguazu Falls but it rained pretty heavily on the second day. Our group, compared with the other Bunnik group was more active and less whingey, read more so we thank God for His perfect matching! I really liked the SMALL group concept. All of us survived the high altitude. Our local guide(s) were all knowledgeable and one was so helpful in calmly helping my wife when we had visa issues at the Bolivian border and pre-filling out the entire group's immigration forms at the airport!
Our tour director was competent but we can only rate her 3/5. Accommodation was standard (though we were unfortunate guides pigs for Bunnik's new hotel option which provide woeful service) but the fantastic hotels in Machu Picchu and Iguazu Falls made up for it. Tip: When booking Easter Island extension, ask for a hotel upgrade as the default one was very very mediocre & a massive let down after our South American tour :( Ending with a cruise was ideal as it provided down time, especially to review our 'digital mountain'! Last but not least, though I started to get the flu on the last day, God miraculously provided us with an upgrade to Business Class, so I could rest before returning to work. Yvonne Brooks was fantastic in answering all our queries and expediting our requests. Yes I would recommend this tour... and I saw they have a luxury version, which I think I would have gone for re accommodation!
Our tour guide Pepe (Jose Valdivia) was one of the best tour guides we've ever had. His caring, cheerful and positive attitude made this tour more enjoyable.
Bunnik are to be commended 1
Judith & Patricia, VIC, Australia, Aug 2015
Saw everything worth seeing, I believe. Found the pace a little full on at times, due to the humidity. Now I know where I would like to spend more time in future visits to Vietnam. I felt the guides were excellent, always on time and most helpful. Would have like more leisure time in Hoi An and Saigon. Overall Bunnik are to be commended for a well planned read more tour. (Ed: Review based on slightly different itinerary. Trip name and itinerary updated this season)
I loved having only 18 in the group. We travelled mainly in a full sized bus so everyone could have a window seat. The accommodation was clean and interesting. One hotel was a converted jail! The accommodation was close to the main pedestrian walkways in the cities. The included meals were delicious especially our farewell dinner. The scenery was different read more for each country. Norway had the most picturesque with huge snow capped mountains, fast running rivers and waterfalls. Our group leader was organised, full of history, had a great sense of fun and made our trip interesting and easy going. I would recommend this tour to anyone considering a group tour of Scandinavia.
The guide warned us the hotels in Morocco had problems. The buildings and rooms were fine but there was always something not working due to laid back staff attitude. Portugal was great - Spain was also good but to a different tempo. Like all guided tours we saw too many churches and too many castles.
Covered a range of interesting places and fantastic scenery

Jewels of Dalmatia
Jillian Homberg, Australia, May 2014
The Bunnik 'Jewels of Dalmatia' tour was very enjoyable. It was well organised and the itinerary covered a range of very interesting places and fantastic scenery. There was something to appeal to everyone - a number of visits to historical sites / churches / museums, with excellent local guides and stunning scenery (coast of Croatia, Plitvice Lakes, read more Lake Bled etc.) The well-located hotels meant access to local shopping experiences and restaurants was very easy. Although the tour group had the maximum limit (26), the bus used for the tour was a full-sized, 'luxurious' bus, meaning that everyone could spread out and appreciate the many wonderful views while travelling to the various destinations. The tour guide Anna-Maria was excellent - very knowledgeable, with a happy disposition and great organisational skills. On the whole, the accommodation was very good - excellent. The only negative was the dinners supplied by the hotel at Plitvice Lakes, but with such a fantastic location, that small point didn't have a major effect on the enjoyment of the venue. The booking was handled in an efficient manner and questions were answered promptly. This was my first experience with Global Journeys and I would have no hesitation in recommending either the Bunnik tour or Global Journeys to other people.
Our holiday was excellent and everything went to plan 3
Terry, Debbie & Alf, Australia, May 2014
Thank you Global Journeys, our holiday was excellent and everything went to plan and was made easy. We had a wonderful national tour guide who made our trip a pleasure and the local guides we had along the way were all very good with their local knowledge and made our stay in China a wonderful experience. We will in the future highly recommend both read more Global Journeys and Bunnik tours to all our friends and family and we will be booking our next holiday through you - it has been a real pleasure dealing with a very good company. Many thanks again.
I booked this tour with Global Journeys, as I came across the trip on their web site. All went smoothly. The buses on tour were first class, clean and modern. Accommodation was brilliant. Machu Picchu, in particular, was beyond belief. Whilst Casa Andrina Private Collection Valle Sagrado was excellent, if there was any way of skipping it and going to read more Inkaterra for an extra night, it would be worth doing. Inkaterra was amazing. Or tour guide Gina really looked after us. Her knowledge was great and her humour made her fit in with the Aussies. The sightseeing in Cusco, Machu Picchu, Colca Canyon, Sacred Valley & Iguassu Falls was mucho excellent!! How do you describe sitting on the edge of a 4,000m canyon as Condor fly about you? I took 420 photos in about 90 minutes and still could not capture the experience. Almost every day was new highlight. Not a better or poorer highlight, just a different one. The jungle brought the group together, Cusco just assaulted the senses, the Sacred Valley was an incredible experience then onto Machu Picchu. One of the best days in the last 20 years. Add to this the amazing Iguassu Falls and you have an incredible experience. Anyone thinking of doing this trip should stop procrastinating and go!
I would highly recommend this tour

Jewels of Dalmatia
Margaret Woodgate, Australia, Apr 2014
We went on Jewels of Dalmatia 2014 with Bunnik Tours in April 2014. We were very impressed with the Tour. Our tour guide Anna-Maria met us at the airport in Budapest and we were transported to our hotel for the start of our tour. There was 16 Australians on the tour on a 46 seater coach. The maximum on the tour is 26 people and so there will always read more be plenty of room on the coach to spread out. Anna-Maria was very knowledgeable and lots of fun and made sure that we were always well looked after. She went out of her way to solve any problems people on the tour encountered. The tour requires a reasonable level of fitness as there is a number of walking tours of cities that go for at least a couple of hours. The day at Plitvice Lakes was one of the many highlights and involved walking around the parkland for over 4 hours looking at the hundreds of waterfalls that link the 7 lakes in the area. The scenery and amazing old cities visited on the tour were spectacular. There is quite a bit of free time on the tour which works really well. We were always shown around a city and taken on a walk to orientate ourselves before the free time and were always given maps and handy hints so we wouldn't get lost. There was no pressure to do anything speciific in our free time, it was ours to enjoy as we wished. The weather was a bit cool and we had quite a few days where it rained part of the day but were still happy to travel at this time of the year to avoid the big crowds and the heat. The hotels were of a high standard and were always within at the most a 15 minute walk of the very centre of the cities we visited. Most places we visited we stayed 2 nights which made the pace of the tour really pleasant. I would highly recommend this tour.
The South America Discovery tour was great. Altitude was a problem at times not only with breathing but the weather in Ecuador everyone expected it to be warmer close to the equator. Carlos our guide in Ecuador was fantastic making it very enjoyable nothing was a problem or to much trouble. 4 of us had birthdays & every one was given special attention read more on their day. We saw more than we expected & it was value for money. I think Bunnik put together a great tour.
This trip was great, it helped we had a good group. Ecuador was fantastic, all new information and places. Our guide Carlos was the best we have ever had. All places were good, La Paz was interesting but depressing, wouldn't go back in a hurry. Was disappointed in 3 areas. 1. National guide was a nice chap but totally helpless with information etc. read more All the local guides did all the work. 2. Didn't think Amazon was as good as it could be, they didn't take us to the REAL jungle just skirted the lodge, I felt like I was in the forest where I live...felt it could be much more interesting. 3. Although our local guide in Buenos Aires was excellent, I didn't get the essence of Argentina, it was just a big city. Felt we could have been taken to a Ranch etc. In saying that the trip as whole was very good, and we were very pleased with Global Journeys and Bunnik. I do hope they listen to the feedback. Many thanks.
An excellent way to tour South America 1
Roger & Robyn Marsh, Australia, Feb 2014
Touring 6-7 countries in South America over just under 6 weeks was an excellent way to do it & considering it included 15 flights as well as a 2 week cruise seeing glaciers etc it's very good value. Our tour guide, Gina, was excellent & a very caring person as well as extremely efficient & I know all people on our tour gave her 15 out of 10; she also read more came on the ship with us (a first for Bunnik) & continued her excellent service (I'm sure Marion Bunnik does appreciate her as she also joined us for a few days as did her son Dennis; both lovely people & willing to listen to feedback good or otherwise. As it was Bunnik's first inclusion to Galapagos Island with the Grand Tour of South America we provided her with some suggestions - eg the Darwin Centre is a bit tired & something else would be better. We put Yvonne at Global Journeys through some extra paces but she handled it all willingly so thanks Yvonne; we're now looking at booking a tour of UK & Ireland at your terrific discount (again) so we are standing by our recommendation of Global Journeys & their unbeatable prices. Thanks heaps. PS Bunnik Tours were excellent value, but again the optional tours with the HAL cruise ship were very expensive.
Well organized with plenty of spare time in most places
