Cultural Overload of Turkiye & Greece 3 Turkey & Greece , SA, Australia, Aug 2023
We both thoroughly enjoyed touring Turkiye and Greece, having not been to both since travelling from London to Kathmandu in the early seventies. We travelled with a group mostly in their 60's and 70's apart from a 28 year old travelling with her mother. She mixed really well with the oldies. The camaraderie amongst the group of 20 made it very pleasant read more travelling and fun. Accommodation consisted of mainly 4 and 5 star hotels all of which were of a high standard. European bathrooms are not always easy to manage with slippery, narrow baths and showers which flood the floors. Luckily there were no accidents!

Both tour guides were extremely knowledgeable, the Turkiye guide proudly telling us about his country. Both had detailed descriptions of the ancient ruins, at times most of us felt we were overloaded with information and not able to digest everything.
A 3 day cruise to Patmos, Rhodes, Crete and Santorini were included but excursions to the islands had to be paid for. The costs were a ripoff , particularly Santorini where buses had to wait for others to clear and crushing crowds made the visit less enjoyable.
Highlights of the 23 days were ballooning at Cappadocia, tasty meals, some of the ancient ruins, Meteora and the monasteries in the north of Greece and the Plaka in Athens. I would certainly recommend this trip but to be aware of the long days with limited freetime and the emphasis being on ancient ruins.
Amazing Alpine Travels   1 Alpine Discovery , QLD, Australia, Jul 2023
Booking with Global Journeys makes our travels worry free. Hannah is supportive and professional at all times. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Bunnik. The tempo suited us well - varied and interesting journey highlights balanced with adequate time to explore on our own. The location and comfort of the accommodation was excellent as were the breakfasts. read more We enjoyed the small group aspect.
Very Enjoyable 1 Southern Italy, Sicily & Malta , NSW, Australia, May 2023
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour for various reasons. The 20 people on the tour were a harmonious mixed group of singles and couples but mainly all with wide travel experience. It was a pleasure to travel with them. Our guide in Italy/Sicily was Flavio. He was very patient and went out of his way to ensure that things went well and to attend to any read more problems that occurred along the way.

Our bus driver was Gabrielo who deserves a medal for the way he negotiated our bus in some very interesting and tight places. Only comment on the bus is that we did not have WiFi. We had different local guides in some of the places we visited and they contributed to the enjoyment of the day. Our guide in Malta was Cynthia. She was very very efficient and knowledgeable and contributed to our greater understanding of Malta.

There were several minor hiccups along the way but they were overcome and in their own way contributed to the travel experience. The hotel in Rome is listed as a four star. I think this is a bit of an exaggeration and it is a three star at best. The remainder of the accommodation was OK for me as my needs are simple but some of the other people had problems with their rooms. These problems were corrected either by the person themselves or our guide. I thought that the trip to the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel was not worth the effort. Both places were grossly overcrowded and you were unable to really stop and absorb anything. I got the impression that it was just a huge money making enterprise designed to push through as many people as possible in the shortest amount of time possible.

The other cities and towns we visited were good and, as mentioned before, we had local guides in many of them. Our last day in Sicily was good but a lot of time was wasted as our ferry to Malta did not leave until 9.30pm. As such we arrived at our hotel in Malta at midnight and then after check in and baggage it was much later before getting to bed. I would suggest that the last day in Sicily be compressed and that the transfer to Malta be on an earlier ferry. Overall, I had a great time and I am pleased that I went on this tour.
Southern Italy with Bunnik 2 Southern Italy, Sicily & Malta , NSW, Australia, May 2023
This was a very busy tour filled with lots of activities. I really enjoyed the UNESCO Roman and Megalithic sights included. Our tour's pizza making was a highlight. Although I traveled in May Italy was very busy and unfortunately we had a lot of rain. Our tour director could have been more helpful with interesting facts on the bus. Other than that it read more was a great tour with a lot of wonderful UNESCO sights.
Wonderful tour of Japan 5 Japan Discovery , QLD, Australia, Mar 2023
Tour was fantastic, everything I could have wanted for a first trip to Japan! An awful lot is packed into the 2 weeks of this tour, and some great experiences included. Be prepared for a lot of walking as you explore all of the sights. I think I averaged about 15,000 steps per day. Hotels were excellent quality as were all of the included meals. Transport read more was also great - predominantly by bus but also used Shinkansen, local trains and subway at various times which was good to experience. All the attractions tours & experiences were included so no surprise out-of-pocket expenses - in fact we spent very little outside of the tour cost, just meals which can be cheap or expensive depending on what you want to do - so much choice in Japan!

I need to go back just to try all the food I didn’t get to try. Having a small group makes all the difference, with only 20 people you can fit a lot more in and it’s easier to keep track of the group and also get to know them. Our tour guide Asano was fantastic. I would definitely choose Bunnik again for the small group, quality accommodation & transport, great itinerary and included experiences. The only thing I didn’t really like was that the included flights were via Singapore - a direct flight would have been much better. But if you are going to do that I recommend stopping over in Singapore for a couple of days on the way back to break up the trip.
Tasmanian Wilderness, Culture, History & Food   2 Tasmania in Depth , NSW, Australia, Mar 2023
Clean, wild and wonderful. Bunnik Tours have covered the trip to Tasmania as a truly memorable visit. The days are filled with activities and visits to some of Tasmania's iconic and beautiful places. The accommodation is excellent, food choices are exceptional. Our tour guides were professional, friendly and attentive all their travellers' needs and read more wants on this trip. Jemma at Global Journeys had everything organised for efficient ease of booking and travelling documents.
Tasmania in Depth by Bunnik 1 Tasmania in Depth , QLD, Australia, Mar 2023
A first-time trip with Bunnik. Tracey, of Global Journeys, arranged our booking and ably sent us on our way. This was a most enjoyable small group 14-day tour with a full-size coach allowing a window seat for everyone. Chosen because it included a great variety of experiences from national parks, history, many fascinating small towns with great character read more preserved and with only 1 single night stay. It was a very comprehensive tour, covering about 2,500 kms right around Tassie. As the tour began at midday, we did have to travel down a day early and chose to stay an extra day to include Bruny Island.
Wonderful tour of Japan 2 Japan Discovery , QLD, Australia, Oct 2022
Thank you to Jemma of Global Journeys in assisting in the organisation of our Japan Discovery tour with Bunnik.
It was a well planned itinerary with a nice balance between private coach and public trains, including the bullet train. The tour gave us a broad insight into the culture and history of Japan with a variety of experiences.
Our guide Kanai read more was lovely, being professional, well prepared and knowledgeable about all things Japan.
Wonderful Tour to Jordan and Egypt   1 Egypt & Jordan Discovery , VIC, Australia, Oct 2022
The tour was well organized and efficiently run. The hotels were good to very good except the one at the Dana Biosphere which was not a finished hotel and many issues involved. Food was generally ok, except that many meals did not cater for a Vegan diet. I’ve not travelled with Bunnik before and for the price we payed I would’ve expected more. In any read more case, the trip was on my bucket list and I was happy to see all that I set out to see. Guide in Jordan was very good, guide in Egypt was good.
Fantastic Portuguese adventure   2 Treasures of Portugal , NSW, Australia, Oct 2022
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Portugal ! Our group was incredible to travel with and our guide Maria was fantastic!
Fabulous Discover South Australia Tour with Bunnik. 2 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2022
We were most pleased to have Marion as our tour leader. She is a lovely lady. The coach drivers on the mainland and on Kangaroo Island were very cheerful and helpful and had many interesting and informative things to tell us about the places we visited. Our tour was fortunate to have good weather 95% of the time. Beautiful and interesting wine-producing read more areas, insight into barrel making, and lots of wine tasting at famous wineries.

Fabulous scenery on Kangaroo Island and the Flinders Ranges and fortunate to see Rock Wallabies frolicking in a canyon in Wilpen Pound. The accommodation was of a high standard and all provided meals were good to excellent except on Kangaroo Island where the first breakfast was delayed for over half an hour for several of our group and the packed lunch of very poor standard. Also, I would have preferred lodgings on Kangaroo Island to be at a place where we could purchase a meal from a fast food place rather than being forced to pay the high prices at our hotel.
Very good tour 1 Southern Italy, Sicily & Malta , QLD, Australia, Sep 2022
I throughly enjoyed this holiday. Having only 20 people made it possible to know everyone. The group I went with were wonderful. We had no disagreements and got on very well. There was a slight disappointment with the flight back where we stopped in Cyprus on our way from Malta to Dubai and had to stay on the plane for the hour stopover. Not ideal. read more The local guides were all very nice and knowledgeable. I particularly enjoyed visiting Pompei. Mt Etna which is puffing away, two Greek ruins and two prehistoric temples on Malta. The hotels were all good and the ferry’s very comfortable. The tour is highly recommended.
Northern Italy, Slovenia and Croatia 1 Northern Italy, Slovenia & Croatia , NSW, Australia, Sep 2022
The holiday was even better than how it was advertised. All hotels were four-star and clean. The guides were superb and the inclusions were excellent. The programme was varied and very exciting. We can't fault the company at all. The cruise in Croatia on the final 7 days was superb. Sadly, I believe that Bunnik are not running this section of the trip read more again because of difficulties in securing cruise ships. Apparently the companies require deposits 12 months in advance. Such a pity!
Great Holiday! 2 Tasmania in Depth , QLD, Australia, Jan 2022
After having this trip postponed twice, third time was lucky! It was a brilliant time to go. Every place we went we were told "You're so lucky with the weather, it usually rains!" It was perfect almost every day. We had 12 in our group, plus our tour leader, Paul, who looked after us well, and our coach driver, Kerry, who is very knowledgeable about read more all the places we visited. We all got along well and made some new friends. Bay of Fires was spectacular but really, I enjoyed all the activities over the two weeks.
Booking online with ease & Exciting travel with Bunnik Tours 6 Tasmania in Depth , QLD, Australia, Feb 2021
This was my 5th booking with Global Journeys, although two were cancelled due to the pandemic. As usual, my questions were all answered promptly and when my consultant was unavailable, another staff member would respond on their behalf so that I wasn't kept waiting. I have a 6th booking pending and I am confident that it will be handled with the same read more efficiency. This was my 3rd booking with Bunnik Tours, as they are exceptional value for money. They are an Australian family owned and operated business, have exciting itineraries and operate with a maximum group of 20. I have already recommended Global Journeys, and Bunnik Tours to my friends for future travel.
Kenya and Tanzania - Bunnik Tours   4 Kenya & Tanzania , WA, Australia, Feb 2020
We had a great group of 8 including us, we would have preferred a slightly larger group where you get to know people and enjoy their company. A couple of days driving without seeing much in grassland. However the tour was well organised by Bunnik, all the Drivers / Guides were excellent, always on time, friendly, always with a smile, what else can you hope for.
All the highlights of Kenya and Tanzania 3 Kenya & Tanzania , NSW, Australia, Feb 2020
This trip lived up to the normal Bunnik high standards with only 8 of us in our tour group. Although some of our game drives were very long days and there were also long travelling days between game parks, we visited 8 game parks and saw a lot of Kenya and Tanzania. Perhaps more flying between these parks would of been better. Accommodation, food, sightseeing, read more and especially our drivers, were all fantastic. A tip for visiting Kenya and Tanzania is that the online visas can be a little complicated to fill in and you need to get all the necessary information and contact details from Bunnik early to complete these forms in a timely manner.

Visiting in February is a nice time to go. Although you won't see the great migration, you will see the migratory animals during their calving season. The landscapes are nice and green, and the game parks are less crowded. Overall this was a great trip, we saw lots of animals and it was nice to have some relaxing days at the end with our Zanzibar extension. Booking with Global Journeys was easy as usual, and both Global Journeys and Bunnik handled arranging early flights home for us because of the pandemic.
Exciting trip in Sri Lanka   4 Sri Lankan Discovery , NSW, Australia, Feb 2020
We have just arrived home from our 17 day trip with Bunnik to Sri Lanka, an amazing country with so much history. Our guide Priya was very knowledgeable, entertaining and made us very much at home in his beautiful country. Our group of 17 was very compatible and the bus we travelled in was an excellent size which gave us all plenty of room to move around read more seats to view the countryside. Hotels were excellent and the meals, what can you say, the very best of Sri Lankan cooking especially the locals that opened up their houses to prepare beautiful curries from their home grown ingredients.

Staying at Yala National Park was one of the highlights with seeing so much of the wildlife and the skill of the Jeep drivers. Other highlights were climbing Lion Rock and the history surrounding the palace built on the top, the train trip from Nuwara Eliya through the tea plantations and learning so much about the history of this magnificent island. A very well organised trip by Global Journeys, Bunnik and our guide Priya, thank you.
Southern Italy, Sicily and Malta tour   9 Southern Italy, Sicily & Malta , NSW, Australia, Oct 2019
The tour leader in Italy was average, the Malta tour leader was excellent. The hotels in both Italy and Malta were generally disappointing. However the locations in Italy were breathtaking as was Malta. The highlights were staying in a Trulli house in Alberobello and in a cave house in Matera - these were the only good accommodations in the entire tour. read more Tour pace was hectic and rushed but there was enough free time if you didn't do every optional excursion. Global Journeys were excellent, providing good documentation and reminders. I would definitely use them again.
Wonderful tour 2 , QLD, Australia, Sep 2019
