Although we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 days it was not an actual tour as advertised, but a mix of tours, this was very disappointing. There was no informal meeting together before our first outing - we were told which bus we had to get onto and that was it. As we thought we had booked for a 'tour' we expected to be with the same group of people and have ...read more the same tour guide and or driver all the time. An important part of joining tours is getting to know each other. Maybe we had not read the information clearly but we were also surprised that none of our meals were included. Having early starts breakfast should have been included. The second half of the trip was with the same driver/tour manager, Byrone, and he was excellent. Our night at Kings Canyon could have been organised by AAT Kings for us all to eat together as a group but this did not happen.

(GJ. Thanks for your feedback Barbara. All short breaks are independent tours - as they leave daily - so people start and leave depending on their travel dates. Some clients prefer this, some like you, prefer the group comradery. We do state that these trips are independent, however perhaps we could make it even clearer! Thanks for your thoughts.)
