Itinerary

Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City, aka Saigon! On arrival at the airport you'll be transferred to our hotel, before the rest of today is free to explore at leisure. Perhaps visit the Reunification Palace - the Vietnam War came to an end here on 30 April 1975 as a North Vietnamese tank crashed through the gates.

This morning we drive to Cai Be and board a traditional sampan boat to cruise along the Mekong River. Enjoy lunch in a traditional wooden home on Dong Hoa Hiep Island and pass the beautiful Cai Be church as we sail. Later, we'll stop at some home factories to sample local sweets and see how they are made.

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Enjoy a morning visit to the lively Cai Rang floating market before we return to Ho Chi Minh City for a guided walking tour. Discover highlights of the city including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the sobering War Remnants Museum. This evening is free to enjoy as you please.

Please note: Itinerary change from 01 July 2026 onwards - the visit to Cai Rang floating market will be replaced with a visit to Con Son Islet floating fish farm. After breakfast we take a short cruise to Con Son Islet, where we visit the fascinating floating fish farm, set on the Hau River. Here, local families raise a wide variety of fish species that thrive in the region's rich waterways. Stroll along the floating bridges and see these unique fish up close. Watch fish leaping from the water during feeding time and for a fun experience, dip your feet into the water for a fish massage!

Included Meals: Breakfast

Today we visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, used by the Viet Cong to their advantage during the Vietnam War. You'll see trapdoors, booby traps and weapons factories that were used by the guerrilla fighters, as well as living accommodation. Crawl through a section of the famous tunnels and fire weapons including M16's and AK47's at the firing range.

This afternoon we say goodbye to Vietnam and cross into Cambodia. We then drive to the country's capital, Phnom Penh.
Included Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Explore the highlights of Phnom Penh today as we enjoy a guided tour of the capital. See the National Museum of Fine Arts and the beautiful Royal Palace. Continue to the famous Silver Pagoda, where statues of Buddha are encrusted with thousands of diamonds.

This afternoon discover the darker side of Cambodia's past as we learn about the Khmer Rouge with visits to Tuol Sleng Prison ($21) and the Killing Fields. The barbaric Pol Pot regime executed thousands of people during their brief rule of the country from 1975 - 1979.
Included Meals: Breakfast

This morning, check out and transfer to the airport for your included flight to Siem Reap. After freshening up, our touring will start with a visit to the ancient city of Angkor Thom. This monumental fortified city is encircled by a 100m wide moat and is famed for the huge statue heads that glare down from every angle.

In Angkor Thom we will see the fabulous Bayon Temple, Baphuon, the royal enclosure, and the Terraces of the Elephants and the Leper King. Last but not least is atmospheric Tra Prohm Temple where vast muscular tree roots envelop the crumbling towers and walls whilst the trees' foliage dapples the temple in shade.

This evening we attend the wonderful Phare Cambodian Circus. The Phare NGO circus project trains street kids to become talented circus artists and the popular show blends circus skills with interpretations of modern life and issues in Cambodian society.

Included Meals: Breakfast

Early this morning, there's an optional sunrise visit to Angkor Wat to marvel at this magnificent temple bathed in the golden light before we explore Angkor Wat later in the morning. This awe-inspiring monument to man's devotion to his gods is believed to be the largest religious building in the world, adorned with thousands of intricate wall carvings and extensive bas-reliefs. There are countless opportunities to capture stunning photographs at this iconic site.

From Angkor Wat we travel to the village of Preak Dak, where each member of the group has the opportunity to plant mango or jackfruit saplings as part of our tree-planting initiative, operated in partnership with this local community. Then we enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the beautiful Angkor temple of Banteay Srei. Cut from pink-hued sandstone, this Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva features lavishly decorated libraries and magnificent reliefs of divine figures.

Later this afternoon we drive to Kampong Phluk, a cluster of three stilted villages within the floodplain of Tonle Sap Lake. Here, you'll see homes perched high above the water and, depending on the season, the hauntingly beautiful petrified trees of the flooded forest.

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Say goodbye to Cambodia today as we fly to Bangkok (included). On arrival at the airport you'll be transferred to our hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Included Meals: Breakfast

Today we discover the highlights of Thailand's capital with a guided tour. Visit the colourful Bangkok Flower Market and the Grand Palace in the heart of the city. We'll also enjoy a tuk-tuk ride to the famous reclining Buddha at Wat Pho.

After lunch at a local restaurant we board a traditional longtail boat to explore some of the canals that crisscross the city. Bangkok used to be known as the “Venice of the East” and although many of its canals have been filled in, plenty remain for us to discover, away from the notorious Bangkok traffic. Our tour ends at the famous Khao San Road where there are street stalls, restaurants and bars a plenty. It's a great place to eat, relax and party the night away. The rest of the afternoon and evening is free for you to explore at leisure.
Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Our adventure comes to an end today with an included departure transfer to the airport. If you'd like to extend your stay in Thailand, then we are happy to assist you.
