This multicultural city where the sun rules supreme is more than just a cruise port. Palm-lined causeways stretch across luminous Biscayne Bay as Miami rises in a gleam of glass towers, Art Deco curves, and tropical colour. Along Ocean Drive in South Beach, pastel facades from the 1930s glow beneath the Florida sun, while nearby Little Havana hums with domino parks, cigar shops, and the aroma of Cuban coffee. Beyond the shoreline, calm waters, yacht marinas, and breezy promenades frame a city shaped by Caribbean rhythms and sunlit coastal glamour.

Port:Puerto Caldera

Puerto Caldera's cruise terminal is approximately 23 kilometers (about 14 miles) from the city of Puntarenas, around 30 minutes away. For transportation, you can opt for taxis, which are readily available at the port, or consider an organized shore excursion to maximize your visit. A must-see is the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, offering a glimpse into the country's diverse flora and fauna.

Acajutla itself provides a rare glimpse into the maritime and economic life of El Salvador, with the port situated roughly 84 kilometers (52 miles) west of the capital, San Salvador (travel time of about an 1h 15m).

Nicknamed the 'Pearl of the Pacific,' Acapulco is Mexico's most glamorous pacific resort. The city is famed for its splendid beauty and its superb weather with an average of 360 days of sunshine per year. The Port of San Diego is the fourth largest port in California and is  is located right in downtown San Diego. Major cruise lines depart from the B Street Pier Terminal which is located a 10-minute drive from San Diego International Airport (SAN) and San Diego Station (Amtrak) and is easily accessible from major freeways.  The Embarcadero and nearby areas offer plenty of options for paid parking during your cruise.

Cruise lines embark to destinations such as the Mexican Riviera, Hawaii, the California Coast and the Panama Canal.

The Port of San Francisco annually hosts more than 80 cruise ships at the James R. Herman Cruise Terminal (Pier 27) and nearby Pier 35. The terminal is in a prime location, with easy access to popular attractions including Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf, the Ferry Building and Union Square.

One of the most spectacular things about cruising from San Francisco is passing under the Golden Gate Bridge. Make sure you are on the lido deck for the sailaway party. It’s certainly a ‘hold your breath’ moment as the ship sails under the bridge.

Oceania has turned cruise critics into cruise addicts. Everything was top notch from superb service, absolutely lovely food and cleanliness. We were treated like royalty in the dining rooms and by our cabin attendants. Nothing was too much trouble. Shows were amazing quality. The cruise was also great value for money with plenty of shore excursions read more to choose from. Highly recommended.
