Itinerary
Arrive at any time. Tonight, head out with your CEO and group to further explore together in Victoria Falls. Sip a drink at Shearwater Village after your welcome meeting. Sit back, relax, enjoy the rushing sound of the falls, down a beer, and get to know your fellow travel mates as the adventure begins. Stay: Explorers Village Camping
Victoria Falls is a great base to see both natural wonders and take part in some exciting activities. Get up close (and wet from the spray) to the awesome Victoria Falls, opt to raft the whitewater of the mighty Zambezi, or bungee jump (with Victoria Falls in sight). Stay: Explorers Village Camping
You will stay over just outside of the park near the town of Kasane. This afternoon, take an optional wildlife safari drive in the park or an afternoon sunset boat cruise along the Chobe River - it's your best opportunity to view hippos, crocodiles, and many elephants wallowing in the water. Rise early to the sounds of nature around you and travel south with your group to Nata. Drive through the verdant lands between Kasane and Nata. Turns out Toto knew what they were talking about because the rains in Africa are no joke. Rain brings life to the pans awakening the dormant fish and aquatic shrimps from the mud. The surrounding grasslands also teem with life and are home to many antelope, which attract a wide variety of predators. Keep your eyes focused as the world passes you by and then reward yourself with a group toast as you camp under the stars shining through the branches of ancient baobab trees. Today is going to be busy, but fun! Travel to your basic bush camp in the Delta, then dive right into some nature with a wildlife walk. The cool thing about being on foot is that you will get to learn full immerse yourself in the environment of the bush. Explore the Okavango delta in a traditional mokoro (dugout canoe) to do some birdwatching. Head back to camp and simply unwind around the campfire. Cheers! Kiss the shores of the Okavango Delta goodbye and head back toward civilization in Maun. Zoom through the western part of Botswana to D’kar; the heart of the Kalahari. Catch a glimpse of how the local San Bushmen adapted to the Kalahari Desert on an optional bushman walk. They will teach you about wilderness survival skills in a place that seems uninhabitable. Then while the day comes to an end, enjoy the warm hospitality of the San Bushmen as the group will be staying at the G Adventures-supported Dqae Qare San Lodge & Camp. The best part?
