Great cruise   0 , Australia, Jan 2024
This was a great cruise from start to finish. The booking process was easy. The port stops were great. The ship had a lot to do on board. The food was pretty good. Just the coffee on board could have been better.
First time cruise exceed expectations   1 , New Zealand, Jul 2023
This was my first cruise and it exceed my expectations. The facilities were top tier! I really enjoyed coming back to my stateroom which was great even without a balcony after a long day to relax. Royal Caribbean really know how to wow their consumers! Although I really enjoyed the cruise I most likely won’t go on a cruise peak season again as it felt ...read more really overwhelming with so many people and the weather was really hot. In saying this, I would definitely go on another cruise and would definitely book through Global Journeys. Tracey made my experience very easy and answered all my questions timely. The whole process was great!
Awesome first cruising experience to the Greek Isles     1 , Auckland, New Zealand, May 2023
Itinerary, ship, crew and weather were awesome! We came back hooked! We found it easy to deal with Global Journeys as the process was very user friendly and well structured. As it was our first cruise we didn't understand all the ins and outs about cruising, but Toni was always ready to explain or give advice. We'll gladly do business with Global Journeys ...read more again. Keep up the good work!
Once in a lifetime cruise to Alaska   3 , NSW, Australia, Apr 2023
Toni from Global Journeys was excellent and helped book us an amazing cabin on our cruise. As first time cruisers she helped us through the process and made sure our trip booking was perfect.
Beautiful New Zealand Cruise     2 , NSW, Australia, Apr 2023
Lovely cruise on Ovation of the Seas. The ship was very impressive. Especially suited for families with teenage children and young adults with lots of activities on board. Perhaps not so much for the older age group. New Zealand has some stunning scenery although I was on the last cruise for the season and we missed two ports because of inclement weather. ...read more Thanks to Georgie from Global Journeys for always handling my bookings so efficiently, everything went very smoothly.
Thanks   4 , VIC, Australia, Mar 2023
We had a great time on our Royal Caribbean holiday. We booked it all through Georgie who was very helpful and would highly recommend her.
Weekend getaway from Sydney   2 , NSW, Australia, Jan 2023
With Christmas such a busy and hectic time, we took the opportunity to book a weekend getaway cruise on Royal Caribbean's Ovation of the Seas. Only being a 2 night cruise, we splurged out on a 1 bedroom Grand Suite, and it didn’t disappoint. Essentially a double size cabin, bedroom in one side and lounge in the other with access to a fully tiled bathroom ...read more from each room. Other perks of the Grand Suite was access to the Coastal Kitchen restaurant. Whilst the quality and quantity of the food on Royal Caribbean in general is better than other lines we have cruised with, the Coastal Kitchen really is that extra step up. Top quality food, impeccable service and a more intimate environment for dinner was a good way to cap off the day.

Suite class also has 24 hr access to the Concierge Club lounge, with complimentary coffee all day, afternoon hors d'oeuvres and open bar from 5pm - 8pm. Add to that a private sundeck and you have several options to get away from the 4,500 plus passengers on board. (if that’s what you want). Suites are not cheap, and up to the individual to determine if it is worth it for them, but we enjoyed our short stay at that level. We have also found that Royal Caribbean’s boarding process, in Sydney at least, is second to none. With so much being able to be done online prior to boarding, you virtually just walk on, via security of course and ID checks. We’ll cruise with Royal Caribbean and book via Global Journeys again.

What are Royal Caribbean’s Passport Requirements

A valid passport is a requirement for all international sailings and air travel. You need enough blank visa pages within the passport for visa stamps. Royal Caribbean recommend that your passport expiry date not occur within six (6) months following the end of your cruise.

The ship will collect your passport to speed the clearance formalities at each port of call, so Royal Caribbean suggest you bring a few photocopies of your passport's personal information page, including the picture, and that you carry one of these photocopies with you each time you leave the ship.

What if my last name is different to my children’s last name?

Should the last names of the parent and minor child travelling with them differ, the parent is required to present the child's valid passport and visa (if required) and the child's birth certificate (original, a notarised copy or a certified copy). The name of the parent(s) and the child must be linked through legal documentation.

What if I am a Non Parent/legal guardian travelling with minors aged 17 years and under?

Adults who are not the parent or legal guardian of any minor child travelling with them are required to present the child's valid passport and visa or the child's birth certificate (original, a notarised copy or a certified copy) and an original notarised letter signed by at least one of the child's parents.

This original notarised letter signed by the child's parent(s), needs to outline authorisation of the adult to take the child on the specific cruise, supervise the child and allow emergency medical treatment to be administered. If a non-parent adult is a legal guardian, the adult must present a certified certificate of guardianship with respect to the child.

I have different surnames (last names) on several documents - is this OK?

If a woman has several surnames on different documents such as birth certificate and driving licence, then she must bridge the difference with other documents, such as, a marriage licence and/or divorce paper. The additional bridging documents must be the original or a certified or notarised copy.

What Visas will I need?

You will need to contact the Embassy (Consular Services) of each country on your sailing itinerary for specific visa requirements, information, forms and fees for your nationality. More information can be found here.

What about inoculations and general health?

All guests must ensure that they are medically and physically fit for travel. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) provide guidelines as to which vaccinations are required in each country. In many cases inoculations are recommended but in some circumstances, they are required. Royal Caribbean recommend that you check with your GP for guidance.

Do I need to purchase travel insurance?

Yes. It is highly recommended all guests take out appropriate travel insurance policies once a reservation has been made.

Please note Australian Medicare, New Zealand ACC and private health insurance will not cover you for any medical costs or emergency evacuations on board, even on domestic cruises. Insurance policies may also protect your possessions on board; provide cancellation cover if certain circumstances cause you to miss the cruise or a pre-paid tour; and provide other forms of protection. It is your responsibility to select the most appropriate policy from an insurance provider.

Can I cruise with Royal Caribbean if I am pregnant?

Pregnant guests are welcome but cannot be entering, or have entered, the 24th week of pregnancy on the first day of their planned cruise or cruise tour. Guests will be required to fill out a Public Health Questionnaire at the pier attesting they have not entered the 24th week. Please inform your Global Journeys Cruise Advisor if you will be pregnant at the time of travel.

Does Royal Caribbean supply oxygen on board the ship?

If you are dependent on oxygen or require oxygen therapy, you must supply your own oxygen, and meet certain requirements prior to boarding. Please let your Cruise Advisor know your needs when you make your booking and let them know quantity, type and delivery schedule. All types of oxygen are permitted on board. Each ship has a different storage policy; however you will be able to keep some or all of your cylinders in the stateroom.

What if I suffer seasickness? Should I cruise?

For any medical advice, please consult your doctor prior to boarding. Your location on board and proximity to the water can help reduce the effects of seasickness. The lower you are to the water line, and the closer you are to the centre of the ship, the less movement you will experience. When looking out at the water, keep your sight on the horizon line.

Where do I find my cruise reservation documents?

You will receive electronic cruise documents (eDocs) from 45 days prior to sailing once your reservation is finalised and paid in full. Once your cruise documents become available, you can access them through your reservation dashboard in your Guest Account. Details will be provided by your Global Journeys Cruise Advisor.

When can I check-in for my Royal Caribbean cruise?

Online check-in opens 90 days prior to sailing and closes 3 days prior to the sail date. Once the full balance on your booking has been received, you will be able to log into Royal Caribbean's Online Check In and print your SetSail Pass. Details on how and when to do this will provided by your Global Journeys Cruise Advisor.

What is the benefit of Royal Caribbean's online check-in process?

Completing your check-in online for all the guests in your booking will speed up your boarding time. Guests who do not complete online check-in will be required to check-in manually at the pier, which can take a little more time.

I am having trouble completing the online check-in, can I call you to complete it for me?

We are unable to complete the check-in for you, as you are required to read and accept terms and conditions. You’re welcome to contact your Global Journeys Cruise Advisor and we can provide troubleshooting assistance if needed.

Your luggage will be delivered to your stateroom on the first evening of the cruise. We suggest that you pack all your medications in your carry-on luggage. All medications must remain in their original, labelled prescription containers at the time of embarkation. We advise that you pack at least three days of extra medication in the event of an unexpected change in the itinerary of the voyage. Remember to pack an adapter to suit the US and European electrical power points. Also consider a change of clothes in your carry-on luggage in case your luggage doesn’t arrive before dinner

Will there be theme nights?

Theme nights are offered on board Royal Caribbean Cruises of four nights or longer. Because these events vary by ship and itinerary, dates and times will not be available until you board the ship, and this can be found in the Cruise Compass. Some common themes may include Black and White Night, 50's/60's/70's/80's, Country Western, Masquerade Ball, Toga Parties. These are examples and are subject to change.
