Our first visit to Japan and it will certainly not be our last. The tour was well organised with a knowledgeable local and English tour directors. The emphasis was on rail, but a great choice of hotels, good food and an amazing tour group.

We enjoyed our cruise very much. The service provided by the crew was excellent, without exception. The meals provided were fabulous. Special mention for the Cruise Director who ensured all activities and excursions were very well organised. We enjoyed good company, good wine and plenty of opportunity for relaxation between excursions. Our cabin read more was very comfortable as was the bed. We would be very happy to travel with Travelmarvel again. Booking with Global Journeys was very straightforward, and Maisie was very responsive to my emails.
Booking was a breeze through Global Journeys, Tracey was very wonderful and patient with me, regarding booking and booking flights and accommodation before and after the tour organized. Travelmarvel tour was great it was a small group of 18 and we all got along really well, the organization for the trip and what it entailed run like clockwork. We were read more able to see the Northern lights 3 nights in a row in Yellowknife!!! It was a fantastic trip highly recommend to anyone!

This holiday had been well thought out as every day was another exciting experience. It was well balanced with great tour guides and local guides who looked after all our needs. I would certainly recommended this holiday as there were so many different kinds of experiences. Very impressed with beautiful accommodation in every city.

The cabin on the lower deck was absolutely fine and on the same level as the dining room so easy access for all meals. Relaxing on the sundeck as the boat cruised along was amazing. The itinerary was quite busy and we enjoyed meeting other travellers to share travel stories. We hired a tuk tuk at the end of the tour to see more temples independently read more which was super easy, safe and enjoyable.
Having done a tour of Tasmania 12 months ago with AAT Kings, I enjoyed the island so much that I took a tour there again, but with another company. This time it was Travelmarvel, which is the discount arm of APT. It was noticeable really only in the accommodation sense, but the sights of course do not change. The highlights this time were places read more that I had not been to, which included the Tasmanain Devil Unzoo, Bicheno ( Where the driver's family seemed to have owned most of the town at one stage), and the Nut in Stanley. Other highlights which I had been to before were Port Arthur and the Bruny Island cruise, this time in rough weather. One tip is to possibly arrive the day before the tour officially begins. I intended to arrive on the morning of the tour but the flight from Melbourne was cancelled so I had to book another flight for the next day and so missed a full day of touring. Hannah at Global Journeys, as always, was a pleasure to deal with in organising the tour.

Rhine and Moselle Christmas Markets

A lovely cruise with TravelMarvel. Unfortunately the water levels were too high in parts but the Tour Director and Ship's Captain were amazing in rearrangement the itinerary at short notice to accommodate as many Christmas markets as possible. Our docking was always walking distance to the attractions. Just too much food!
Nirmelar and I are happy that we booked with Global Journeys and Travelmarvel. Hannah from Global Journeys has always been prompt in answering my questions and giving me very helpful advice. This was my 3rd booking with her. In future I am looking forward to book with her if I decide to travel again.
Our driver and tour guide, Rob Mace of Travelmarvel, read more was also very helpful. We travelled ‘worry free’ with him. I have already given my review to Travelmarvel. Overall I personally thank Hannah and Rob and appreciate their help and support to make our tour an enjoyable one.

What a wonderful experience, the weather was cold, the river water was high and it SNOWED transforming the land into a winter wonderland. The Christmas markets along the cruise were amazing as was the onboard experience with marvelous staff, food and wine.
Travelmarvel tour director, driver, coach, accommodation and meals were all good. There are some early starts and long days on the road, due to the distances between highlights. Global Journeys timely and professional involvement was much appreciated.
Had a great time on this river cruise, fabulous weather, plentiful delicious food and wine , staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
Travelled Aug/Sep 2023. This cruise was fantastic. The scenery spectacular. We travelled with Travelmarvel and could not fault the service we received. All the staff were great. A special thank you to Barbara our tour manager onboard. Unfortunately due to flooding, we had to leave our ship and travel the remainder of our trip via bus, so missed the read more last 4 nights onboard. However, the accommodation provided in Vienna and Budapest was excellent. I highly recommend Global Journeys and Travelmarvel.
We enjoyed this tour with 8 of our friends. Austria and Switzerland are beautiful and our train rides are indeed all first class. The pace of the tour is great. It enabled us to have free time to explore and discover other places ourselves.
We had an amazing tour to Canada. Everything was so well organised and our accommodation was excellent. Even though we were on a fairly tight schedule each day, we enjoyed every moment discovering and absorbing the beautiful Canadian landscape and cities with our wonderful tour guides. Ultimate Norway and Sweden

To tour the two countries (Sweden & Norway), was great because you could see the similarities and appreciate the differences. It was not too onerous a pace and we had time to look at museums/churches and other points of interest in our free time.
The itinerary was good. We had a variety of experiences. It was good to get to the north of both countries. read more We appreciated the culture in Sweden and the landscapes in Norway. The breakfasts at the hotels were amazing and the comfort was good.
Our tour leader was amazingly affable and made sure that we were as comfortable as possible and that we were enjoying the tour.
We were a little disappointed in the trains - they are not tourist trains which meant you did not always have a good window to see the country-side. Whilst this was not as important in Sweden as it was in Norway. In the end, we felt a tour by coach would have been as good.

Great trip booked by Georgie Walpole. Enjoy booking with Georgie and Global Journeys. Both Western Canada and Alaska are so beautiful. Weather was great. Only rained for less than one hour for the whole trip. I will definitely book future tours with Travelmarvel. No complaints about the tour director, coach driver and cruise liaison - all great and read more very helpful and accommodating. Only issue is the cruise ship - Volendam cabins require updating. Cabin carpets are old and dirty.
We had the most wonderful holiday Rachael McSorley from Global Journeys was a blessing she was so helpful with booking and organising our river cruise with Travel Marvel. Cruising down the Danube was a dream come true and the ship and staff did not disappoint. The tours and food were amazing. We will definitely use Global Journeys and Travelmarvel again in the future.
Everything we hoped it would be, the boat and staff/service were first class. We were so lucky with the weather which helps but also the cities and towns visited were wonderful.
Everything about this trip was truely incredible. The guide was a wealth of knowledge and super friendly. The accommodation was above and beyond expectation (in most cases) the meals that were included, the food was fantastic (except for the place in Whistler that stuffed up the breakfast boxes to go). Canada is the place to go! xx
