Beautiful week exploring the Canyonlands!   4 , ACT, Australia, Jun 2016
Easily the most impressed I've ever been on a tour. Our Tour Director Anand was the most professional, responsive and organised guide I've ever had. Extremely happy with the tour, company and experience. It was a beautiful week! Loved seeing the Grand Canyon at sunrise, think that was my second favourite part of the experience. My most favourite aspect ...read more was learning more about the Navajo culture as where we were travelling was across the Navajo Nation reservation. Having lovely interactions with the Navajo men and women selling handmade jewellery, silversmith work, artwork and fabric goods was so wonderful and talking about what it's like where they live - not just purchasing things without interaction. I really loved that, connecting on a more authentic level. It made me appreciate each stop where we were - so much more.

The history was so necessary in acknowledging the full story of the lands we were travelling upon for a complete experience. Also think being quite significantly younger than the other attendees actually made my experience more enjoyable because was able to have such interesting conversations with everyone, learning about each others way of life and sharing wisdom. Was great! The accommodation was excellent at all stops, loved Lake Powell (& swimming in Lake Powell during free time!) and Bryce the best. Liked the hotel at Vegas, but did not like Vegas at all as the final stop...was too polarising/jarring/superficial in comparison to the calm/natural aspects of earlier part of week. But that's only a small negative on an otherwise positive week. Now back home in Australia I really miss seeing the wondrous National Parks every day. Thank you to all involved & Insight Vacations!
A great itinerary at a comfortable pace 4 , Australia, Sep 2014
Overall a great itinerary at a comfortable pace. Highlight was the accommodation inside the National Parks at Grand Canyon and Bryce Canyon. These are NOT 5 star hotels and some on the tour complained of the 'basic' standard forgetting that these are National Park cabins and not the Grand Hyatt....still they were clean and comfortable and only a few ...read more steps from the rims. I feel we could have spent one more day at Bryce Canyon as this would allow for some short walks around the park. Lake Powell could be one day instead of 2. A place to use as a base but not much to do there itself once you have done the boat tour. I was able to go into Page to join a tour through Antelope Canyon - is there a reason why this is not included or offered as an option in the tour? A majestic canyon well worth the effort! I would not waste time going to Cameron Trading Post, very much a 'set-up for tourists' and also contained a lot of products made overseas instead of local work. Native American designs made in China, quite disappointing to see. Our tour guide Larry was most helpful and patient and knowledgeable. He made sure everything ran smoothly for each of us. Meals were always great when included.
