We could not fault the trip. Grand Pacific we would recommend to anyone travelling to NZ. Meals, coaches, drivers and accommodation all of a very high standard.

Had a wonderful time. Dennis, John and Paul the guide and bus drivers were fantastic and the entire tour group got on brilliantly. My husband and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

I can honestly say this trip was the most enjoyable coach tour I have ever done. What we saw, our excursions, our timetable, accommodation and especially our guide Tony and our two driver/commentators Linda & Mike were faultless. I have already begun to spread the 'word'. The tour organisation on ground in NZ was extremely good - accommodation, meals and the bus driver/ tour guide were all excellent. Even when the weather prevented the listed events (Bay of Island, remnants of Cyclone Ida) the bus driver with extensive local knowledge was prepared to work on his day off providing a tour of the local area which was excellent. ...read more We would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to get a taster of both islands of New Zealand.

Our 19 Day Grand Pacific tour of New Zealand was excellent. Both our drivers, Russell in the North Island and Alex, in the South were very knowledgeable. Our NZ trip was well organised from beginning to end and both my wife and I would thoroughly recommend this Ultimate tour to any prospective traveller to NZ.

We had an absolutely fantastic holiday, experiencing so many things in the time we had. The accommodation was great, although a couple of the places were a bit tired. The Scenic hotels were unbelievable, especially their bed toppers and pillows. We were disappointed with the service in the restaurant in the Rendezvous Hotel in Auckland which was a shame ...read more because everything else with the hotel was great. Our tour guide on the North Island was just brilliant, so friendly and informative which made our holiday perfect. The South Island guide was very informative too, certainly knew his job, but we thought lacked a bit of the personal touch. He didnt mix with us much at all and did not drive as smoothly as our other driver, was safe enough but just not as smooth. We all commented that we were very spoiled with our first driver and tended to compare the South Island driver to him. We would recommend this Grand Pacific holiday to anyone and also booking through Global Journeys, the contact and efficiency of Kirby was so good and helpful from start to finish. The Ultimate tour had lots of advantages, when comparing with the large tours. However we found that of the 17 of us, there weren't many like minded travelling companions. It was quite clear that several people wanted to keep to themselves, so there wasn't a lot of interaction within the group, whereas our friends who did the same tour & recommended ...read more it, had a wonderful time & a lot of fun times. John & I have travelled many places & we loved everything about New Zealand, we just think we were unlucky with some of the group. The tour driver/guide was good & a gentleman. He sometimes talked too much about irrelevant things, like cost of insurances, fuel, weigh bridges etc. etc. but overall he did well. Would we do another small group tour ? Maybe, maybe not. The tour however was great.

We would have given the tour an excellent rating however the Ibis Hotel in Wellington was not up to par with the very the high standard of the accommodation throughout the rest of the tour. Maybe a single night stopover at the Ibis instead of two would be better or perhaps choosing another hotel of a higher standard like the rest for a two night stay. ...read more On a couple of days we felt there were too many scheduled activities and thought that some of these could have been made optional choices. Coach drivers especially Alex in the South Island component were excellent.

We had the most enjoyable time on our holiday. the breakfast, lunches, and dinners surpassed our expectations. The tours each day started at the advertised time and the driver a (Alex Rollinson) had so much knowledge of the history and modern day information that was forwarded onto all the passengers on the magnificent coach. The hotels that we stayed at were of an extremely high standard and much enjoyment was had with the 'happy hours' where we could mingle with our fellow travellers. As this was our first coach tour I cannot compare it with others so please bear this in my with my ratings. Overall we very much enjoyed the tour and found it was well organised and paced. The bonus was the uncommonly good and consistent weather throughout the tour.

I found the coach drivers were friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. The only thing I thought that let the tour down was the Fox Glacier accommodation & evening meal. On the whole though I thoroughly enjoyed the tour regardless of the few hiccups.

We did have a little concern at the length of the tour and the amount of people however neither of these was a problem. To see NZ comprehensively this way I would not have liked to do in any less time and our fellow travelers were a great group and the camaraderie was excellent. The hotels were very good with very friendly and helpful staff. Our drivers were very informative and we always felt very safe with their driving. Brilliant viewing windows in the coaches and very comfortable. I do think it would be preferable to have a driver and a guide however so the driver can just concentrate on the road. And of course the scenery and inclusions were all very good. The optional extras on offer that we chose were excellent.

We loved the tour. The people on the coach were great and the whole experience very good. We thought Grand Pacific were excellent, everything was arranged very well. The food and accommodation all good although Fox Glacier wasn't the best. In saying that the food was very good and the hotel was clean and tidy it was just the rooms were a bit down.

We saw great destinations and fantastic views, the best of both New Zealand islands. Our Tour Director Kenn organised everything so well for us. We had a great time and would do it again. The inclusions were great and the options, especially the helicopter over Fox Glacier and the Jet boat ride, were exhilarating.

We both had a great time. We found it good value for money and we experienced no problems, from the time we landed where we were met at the airport and it all flowed smoothly from then on. We loved the mountains with their snow capped peaks, the countryside views and all the cultural shows. We had a great time and fell in love with NZ! Overall, we were really happy with the tour we did. We didn't realise at the time we booked and paid that it was a 'seniors' tour, but I think we prefer this type of tour. Everybody in the group got along really well and we had lots of laughs and feel that we made some friends that we will stay in touch ...read more with. Our favourite part was probably the South Island. We realised pretty quickly that you can only describe that part of the country using 'big' words like majestic, spectacular, stunning etc. We also did lots of optional activities and have some great experiences and memories. Even though it was a senior's tour, you can engage with activities to suit any age/level. The tour itself was well organised, both coach captains were very knowledgeable and had a wealth of information about every aspect of the country. The food was also great and most of the accommodation was okay too.
