Global Journeys made the online booking/payment step by step process very easy and I will definitely be booking travel with them again. We could not fault Grand Pacific. The travel pack they sent was very useful. Drivers/hosts on both Islands were very informative, very approachable and lots of fun. The quality of the accommodation and food was on the read more whole of a high standard. We liked that our luggage was delivered to and picked up from our rooms at each hotel. Our fellow travellers were great. Everyone mixed and got on very well and there were lots of laughs. It was a full on tour, packed with interesting places and sights. We enjoyed all aspects of trip but the highlights for us were Milford Sound and the Bay of Islands (including Russell) - just beautiful. Loved the sights of Rotorua and the included Hangi and Maori Concert in the evening was wonderful. TSS Earnshaw cruise and dinner was very nice but... a standard glass of wine costs $14.50!! I would thoroughly recommend Grand Pacific for those thinking of touring New Zealand.

Would highly recommend touring with Grand Pacific and booking through Global Journeys. Everything was hassle free from the get-go. My partner and I were able to monitor the progress of our booking and received our travel packs straight away. We had a friendly and knowledgeable Tour Director on-board to ensure a smooth and enjoyable tour for the entire read more group. The recommended activities and places we visited were all superb. It's hard to pick a favourite but honourable mentions to the boat cruise on magical Lake Wakatipu in Queenstown and Milford South (Fiordland) plus the tour of Skippers Canyon.
Accommodation was great, The coach was comfortable and always clean the coach driver was very informative, safe and caring. I will definitely book with Global Journeys again for my next holiday and I recommend grand pacific.
May be take a neck rest pillow for travelling on the coach to get some rest. The food was very appetising - watch out if you read more are on a diet as it is very easy to put on weight.

From start to finish this tour was well organised and of a high quality. Despite personal diifficulties, our tour leader remained professional and helpful. A great tour in a wonderful country.

The tour was exceptional, Grand Pacific tours are obviously very well organised and the tour itself was very comprehensive and the coach drivers very knowledgeable.

Both Grand Pacific and Global Journeys were good! Our group was an average age of 67 and got on well. I pal'd up with a man my age and we got on well with others. I really enjoyed both islands particularly the South Island.

Be prepared for lots of early mornings. We had a good mix of people. Our coach driver on South Island said we were the best group ever. We would definitely book again with Global Journeys. Very professional nothing to much trouble.

Booking through Global Journeys was the best. We got our tour $400 cheaper than our local travel agent for the same tour. Hannah was looking after us and everything went smoothly & according to plan which started our holiday off nicely. We would recommend them to all our family & friends. I would have rated our holiday as excellent if it wasn't for read more the 2 train trips we missed out because of the earthquake in November & the bush fires in February. We only had 29 passengers on our tour which was great as we were able to move around on the coach. Our tour guide Megan on the North Island was great. Very knowledgeable, but Murray on the South Island was hopeless. If I had to do the trip again I would make sure we don't have him again. Accommodation was great for most of the stays & the food as well. We felt there could have been a couple more excursions included in the tour instead of being offered as optional, especially because we missed out on the 2 train rides. (for which we got a credit). One must be aware that most mornings were 6am wake up calls. Something we were not aware of so it was a shock to the system. All & all it was a great fun tour. Highly recommend it.
We travelled in March 2017 and we were very pleased with the weather. The 19 day coach tour is very well organised with a good variety of excursions. Grand Pacific are top operators and we would recommend them to anyone considering a New Zealand trip.

The booking process through Global Journeys was smooth/easy and problem free. The accommodation was very good to excellent for all places. My only gripe: the bathrooms in some places should provide more hooks or towel rails to hang towels etc. (Also at one place the toilet seat would not stay up which made it awkward for me (male). The staff were friendly read more and knowledgeable, the coaches were clean and comfortable. There was a good bunch of people in the group (mostly elderly, all friendly) and as time went on we got to know each other well and had interesting conversations.
As for New Zealand, it is an amazing place and it impressed everyone of us. It's natural beauty is abundant both on the South and North Islands. We saw many mountains which still had snow, amazing fiords, many lakes and rivers with crystal clear water, large agricultural enterprises and a number of historic towns and cities. I think the places covered by the tour were all of interest and we covered a lot of things in the time available. I'd love to go back with kayaks or canoes and spend weeks to travel some of those rivers/lakes. We were impressed at how clean the towns/cities and country side were kept (no rubbish, no graffiti) which is a real complement to New Zealanders and tourists alike. I think NZ can be an example to many other countries (including Australia) in this respect.
Even the weather played its part and we had perfect sunny days with max temps in the low 20's on all days except one (when in Wellington it rained much of the day). All in all, our coach tour of NZ left us with many happy memories and I can highly recommend it to any other traveler. Just prey for some good weather (similar to what we had) in order to get the most out of it.

The time of the year was good and we had perfect weather hence really enjoyed the magnificent scenery. Our driver was excellent and the travellers were of approximately the same age which was good. We will definitely go back to New Zealand next time to the north as we did not experience any Maori culture. I have attached the view from our Resort read more in Queenstown which was a wonderful surprise indeed.

We had a fabulous trip from start to finish. Global Journeys handled our booking very well and kept us informed and up to date with its progress at all stages. Grand Pacific run a very professional operation and make it quite clear right from the start that we are the most important clients they have ever had and this should be the trip of a life time read more for us. Our tour guide was great, full of local knowledge and interesting facts and our group getting the most from our tour was always foremost in his mind. The coaches and drivers were first class. Having never been to New Zealand before we were amazed by its diverse beauty. The over night stay on Milford sound aboard the Milford Mariner was the highlight for us. We also loved exploring the Maori culture.

We both very much enjoyed our tour of the South Island. The coach was comfortable & we liked the introductory dinner in Christchurch. Marita gave us very clear information re the trip. Andrew Brown was an excellent driver. We were very impressed with his knowledge & we liked his jokes. The accommodation was excellent & we enjoyed the meals. We were read more lucky to travel with a nice group of people. We both have travelled widely & we have to admit that some other touring companies left a few things to be desired, but our Grand Pacific Tour was excellent. We couldn't find fault with the quality of the tour & will definitely recommend it to others.

An amazing scenic holiday. The tour was very organized and had a great choice of included excursions. We felt very safe with both drivers Steve and Michael and tour guide Paul was very friendly and helpful. The scenery was amazing and diverse. The train journeys were amazing. The overnight cruise on Milford Sound was a highlight. We went in the read more end of October and the weather was perfect. Included meals were very good. The people in New Zealand are very welcoming and made our holiday very special. Global Journeys were very good and organized our booking very quickly as we decided to book holiday on two weeks notice.
We had an enjoyable holiday and were well looked after by the driver who was both knowledgeable and helpful. The coach was comfortable and clean, the accommodation was of a high standard as were the meals. We would recommend Grand Pacific small group tours.
The trip was great the tour guide and coach driver provided excellent information. The included attractions provided a fantastic addition with many giving you an understanding of New Zealand life and culture.
The tour was very good value for money the food was excellent throughout and the standard of the included and optional experiences was very high. The coach driver was very professional and gave an excellent informative commentary and the tour guide had a genuine concern for the customer and his or her needs. The hotels were of a very good standard.
New Zealand was much more than we expected. Beautiful scenery. Very friendly people. Travelling in October was pretty good. We got some rain and unexpectedly some snow but we also had plenty of sunny beautiful days. Accommodation was first class. Food choice numerous. Have to be very disciplined not to put on a kilo or two. Could not fault Grand Pacific read more in any way. Both the guide and driver very knowledgeable. The coach was brand new and with two doors to exit. Global Journeys have a very good online process for bookings. Very easy and clear to view /edit/follow/download/payment of the booking on their website. The average age group of the travellers was more around 65 and not 55 as promoted by GP. But they were all "fun" people and everyone had a good time on the tour. Highly recommend this tour.

Long story short, the entire south Island trip was fantastic, from airport pickup up - to travel and accommodation, tour guide & bus driver, everything together made it a wonderful experience. Great reason for me to look forward to the North Island option! Loved it!
